Our deposit is only $50 and due within 30 days. Since it is refundable until 6 months before the wedding, my fiance and I decided to pay the deposit for each person to hold the space. We felt this gave us more time to get the information to our guests. We have given a verbal save the date to everyone, then we will send save the dates/invites once we have all the details.

We are planning to get married in Jamaica while in port at Falmouth during a cruise. We are planning to do the ceremony and maybe a cocktail hour in port, then have the reception on the cruise ship. Some of the issues I have come across is that the venue requires you to be staying at the resort or you have to pay to have the venue for the entire day even though we would only be there for a few hours. Does anyone have suggestions on venues in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios that could accommodate this type of wedding? We are thinking there might be about 50 guests.
