Hi! For anyone who included bubba kegs or insulated travel mugs in their welcome bags, did any of your guests encounter any issues or pushback from the bar with filling up drinks in such a large quantity at once? Just curious if these would be worth the time to order and pack and wondering if the resort is ok with these in general...

For past brides, how far out in advance did you book your hair/makeup appointments at the resort spa? Is it nuts to worry about reserving my spot when I'm 5 months out? @@erobin223 I'm so sorry you were so disappointed by some of the experiences you had We all go into this with high expectations and stars in our eyes picturing the beautiful atmosphere, amazing memories, etc. and hopefully the actual day of your ceremony and reception still captures that feeling for you in spite of the issues you encountered!

@@jh0510038 I tend to waaaaaayyyy overpack no matter where I go so I'll have to enlist some relatives to bring extras for me if it comes to it. My original plan was just to invite my entire 180-person guest list to Mexico and see who could make it....but that was before I really started researching the extra costs for all the little things they charge like chairs, extra hors d'oeuvres, etc....even if only 80 or so people come that really throws my budget out of whack...but how do I start uninviting people who have known I wanted to do a destination wedding for years now? So I'll really, really have to get creative with the budget because I would love it if lots of people come if I can manage to fit that into my budget.

@@jh0510038 agreed on the outrageous floral prices! I hadn't realized how close your date is! You must be so excited! As for me, I joined here the day we sent our deposit to Anel, and I'm getting eaten up with anxiety over the costs already! Yes, if you could let me know if Ramon takes any issue with continuing to meet the florists outside the gates that would be much appreciated! I actually just received some prices from Florerias Lucy and they are FAR more reasonable, but she said she wasn't aware that meeting the brides outside the gates was no longer an option. Maybe they've resorted back to allowing this practice? I really hope so! @@jeffandrobyn thanks for all the suggestions! I've already spent several late nights going back through these threads and bookmarking Oriental Trading Company and other wholesale providers of things like table runners, sashes, etc. My guest list is much larger than I anticipated so I'm definitely going to have to forego their decoration fees and the like so that I can keep my costs down. I will definitely look into Disco Movil since I see 2 recs for them in a row!!

@@jeffandrobyn thanks for the info! Any recommendation on DJ and photographer? I do wonder if the outside florist fee is still enforced if you go into town and pick up the flowers yourself and it's not the obvious "meet the florist right outside the resort gate the morning of." Sorry for the million questions; it's just starting to look like the costs might balloon a little more than I had hoped!

For those of you who used outside vendors, does the resort charge the outside vendor fee for each one (photog, DJ, etc.) or is it a one-time charge?

Hi Everyone, Forgive me if this is a duplicate question but I just stumbled upon this site yesterday, read through about 200 pages of comments, and couldn't figure out the answer! I've just reserved the Beach Terrace and REALLY want to bring in some of those round Chinese lanterns but keep seeing the eye-popping $1,000 quote for the resort to set them up! Is the price still $1,000 just for the setup?? Have any of you had any luck hanging them yourselves? I've seen other posts that reference hanging them off the pergolas on the Tequila Terrace but am curious if there are any natural ways to do this on the BT without too much extra hassle. TIA!!
