Thanks, ladies. It has been a bit nerve wracking, trusting a stranger to create your vision. @@krystalball I discovered there is two types of lace. The original dress in the image was made from a sheet of lace, essentially. The dressmaker didn't have any "sheets" that I liked, so she is sewing cut pieces onto the tulle, which will be a layer on top of the satin. It won't be exactly the same as the image, since it won't be solid lace, but I think it's working out well nonetheless. Fingers crossed! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Christmas present for me! Got a photo of the "mocked up" bodice of my dress from the dressmaker. I might want more lace bits, but not sure. We will decide after I see a mock up of the skirt. Hey ladies - Just wanted to give a quick update, although it's pretty quiet for us on the wedding front. Which is a good thing, because work is nuts and the holiday season always makes life busier. Guests Our final payment deadline has come and gone (Dec 4) and everyone has paid! We did have one person drop out - half of a couple who recently broke up, so now the guy is coming on his own. Just as well - we and everyone in that circle of friends could not stand the girlfriend, so we're glad she's not coming, as horrible as that may be to say. Our count right now is 36 adults + 5 kids + us. There are a few more people who say they may still book, and they might, but I think max another 2. Not holding my breath and I'm fine with it either way. Really happy that we had absolutely no drama around the final payments! Bridesmaid Dresses My best friend received hers a few weeks ago (I still don't know if she's tried it on or if it fits!) and my sister finally placed her order, so hopefully we are all set in that dept. My sister got the Kelsey & my BF got the Mikaela. My Dress I finally decided to have my dress custom made. I have a dress I bought last spring, but after buying it, I wasn't really happy with it and couldn't stop thinking about a dress I had seen on Etsy. But... the dress on Etsy was from China, which made me nervous. So I ended up finding a local Etsy seller who specializes in bridal wear and will do custom orders. I met with her on Monday and placed the order for my dress. It's weird to place so much blind faith in one person. I'm just hoping I will see the dress I've been dreaming about when it is ready in Jan/Feb. Crazy. Below is the original Etsy dress. Below that is the lace I chose from the dressmaker (but it won't have the beading and will obviously look different when applied to my dress style). Fingers crossed. I'm a bit freaked out.

OMG I had an eye twitch off and on for a year or two. It disappeared less than a week after my boss (who I hated) was fired! Think it was stress related?!? It comes back once in a while, and now I know it's a sign of stress for me. I'm sure it will be fine once you've settled into your new role. Good luck! (eye twitch LOL)

@@Wafflesmom Sounds like you are doing so well! Keep it up. It's so tough at this time of year, I know. The program is called Healthy Role Models. It is run by a couple from Nanaimo (trainer types), so a lot of participants are from Vancouver Island, but since it's online, there are participants from all over the world. PM me if you want more info.

Hope you found your keys! How annoying... Yes, the gains could definitely be muscle. In fact, in this program that I'm in, they tell you not to weigh yourself, because there is a lot of weight training. It's all about measurements and the photos. Let's go with muscle

Thanks, Kim! I have front & side pix that also show progress but I hate my tummy, always have, so not keen to post. The back photo was the most surprising though. I guess because I can't see my back? Whereas I could tell my pants were fitting better, etc. You've done so well this fall! Do your best to stay on track and every little bit helps. Believe me, I'm not eating as I should at every meal, but I am making an effort at every meal where I have the control over what I eat. If I have a bad lunch because I was at a work event, I still have a good dinner. Except, of course, last Friday when I was hungover from my work Xmas party lol. Just checking in ladies... I'm happy to say I did 3 resistance workouts (although cut one shorter than usual) and 3 cardio workouts this past week. I was aiming for 3 and 2. But not so great on the food front... I put on half a pound. Oh well. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. So I've been doing a fitness & nutrition program for a full 12 weeks now. A friend/former colleague got me into it. It's mainly online with a big support group on Facebook, as well as workout videos, nutritional guidelines, recipes, etc. 12 weeks ago I took my measurements. I took them again today. I didn't lose any inches on my legs, which doesn't surprise me. I have always had pretty muscular legs and I used do a lot of spin classes. But I have lost 1.5" at my shoulders and 3" at my waist. I'm still no super model, but pleased with the progress. I won't freak you out with my comparison pix, except one... where did my back fat go?!?

@@Wafflesmom Looks like you are on track with your list. I am further out than you, so can't speak from experience, but I think Kim is right. It looks manageable.

@@snswedding2016 Congrats! It looks like your ceremony was really nice and I'm so glad it worked out to have your families both there. So excited for your Mexico wedding! And I LOL'd about the groomsman & his pants. It's about bloody time!

I like it! We're gonna crush this holiday season! @@Wafflesmom Thank you. I'm pretty pleased with my progress so far, but it's easy to slip back into bad habits, I know! It's great to hear your measurements are looking good and that you are going to bump up the bootcamps. Evening snack time is the worst! What if you tried snacking on something healthy? That way you are "filling the void" but hopefully in a healthier way. Or try fruit-infused water? @@yycbride2016 Awwwhhh shucks. I don't think I have ever been "inspirational" when it comes to fitness & nutrition! I'm sorry to hear you've been having a rough go. I hope you had a nice anniversary celebration though. Don't be too hard on yourself. You can't do much when you are feeling sick! Let us know how you like the new work out.
