We are going with DJ Mannia for the reception, the music trio for cocktail, and a sound system for our welcome party. Trying to decide if I want to do a violin for the ceremony. My friend just did it in the Bahamas and it was lovely. Decorations and flowers what are you doing?

I am going to a wedding next week here. I will warn you this place over books there property and if you do not use a room block and have guests use outside sources IE expedia and orbitz they will be put in another hotel. It is happening to me now. So just make sure to use a TA and/or the hotel itself and book a block. The little money your guests are saving is not really saving. You then have to pay for day passes for these guests or your guest have to pay for them.

Hi all, I am attending a wedding next week in the bahamas. Yesterday I got an email saying that I got moved out of my hotel to someother hotel. I spent the last 24 hours fighting and complaining even asking for refund which will not even cover the costs. I booked through Orbitz and my friend is booked through Expedia and the same thing. Buyer beware, you are NOT guarnteed with these sites. Your guests may save a few bucks but in the long run it is not worth it. Use a Travel Agent or the hotel to secure a room block for your guests. Thank god I did this for my wedding. I have two couples that did this for my wedding and I hope they don't get booted but I warned them ahead of time. Save yourself and your guests alot of time and do not book outside internet places. I can tell you I will never use any of these sites again. Now that I know they do not gaurntee your stay.

When do you start to pay the hotel for the reception and all other costs welcome parties, etc. I assume they take cash at the hotel and credit card..

@@airsusie I'm stressing over decorations. Are you thinking of doing your own or ordering from the place? I know we get all white but not sure if centerpiece a will be enough color.

I'm going to do trio band for cocktail hour. For the bonfire welcome party I'm going to bring my bose radio and phone and play music. But I'm still deciding on the bonfire. I did the photo from tap talk

@@amandapanda That is good information. How do we make sure she confirms it early enough? That is one thing I hear is a pain with doing a destination wedding. I am hoping reception at Sky and Dunnas for cocktail hour.

Has anyone done a Bonfire party? If so do you have photos and what is included when you book it through the hotel?

I booked my room block with a TA. It's so much easier they handle everything. Plus they give you perks with the amount of rooms booked etc. I'm using destinationweddings.com so far so good. Beach Wedding Photo I'm curios too. I'd be interested in seeing reviews. Anyone get there dress? I got mine at a sample sale. Here it is.

Hi ladies, The spa got back to me at least with the spa pricing and packages. I am waiting to hear the salon for pricing I will post that as I get it. I wanted to post the PDFS on here but I can not figure out how to post a document. EEK. So what is everyone's wedding dates we can keep a list Respond here and I wil having a running list for all of us. I have a feeling we will start getting more brides joining us! @@airsusie I need a favor if you can get a copy of the spa and pricing for the actual spa (massages) and also pricing for hair and make-up. My hairstylist is actually a friend and is coming to the wedding. He wants to offer his services to the ladies coming. I told him I would find out how much they cost at the resort so he can not go above that. If you can get hold of that it would be awesome. 27 guests booked as of today!

I am working with Theresa I emailed her asking for the venue photos etc. Nothing as of yet. My room is booked I have a Finest Club Swim out Suite. I am using Destination Weddings as my TA and she did my reservations and room block. For our "welcome" thing calling it thing cause I don't know what to call it. I think I am going to do it as a bon fire on the beach. I was going to do it as a goodbye party but since most of my guests are leaving all sort of different days I decided to just do it as the welcome party. We aren't doing a reheresal. Farewell Party I am just planning on doing something with whoever is left at a resturant. Figured we will all go at the same time and wait to be seated. And see what happens. Our wedding is not till September so that is all I really know. Ceremony on the beach is about all I know. Once I see the options for Cocktail and Reception I will decide. We know we can't be by water I have a son who LOVES the water and will be terrified that he will run into the pool or water. So waiting to see the options. The one good thing is I got my dress at a sample sale this weekend. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a dress, because I want to trash the dress and would feel so guilty. I got an amazing deal on a $1500 dress!!! I paid $500 and it was my size. Minor alterations will need to be done, and the cleaning of the dress. Not bad. Best deal so far. Now just waiting for people to book there rooms, we did this super early so hopefully it helps... our TA lets people pay off the trip and do not have to pay in full at time of booking so we were hoping that helps people book.
