    I am doing a cruise wedding, and for every 8 rooms booked under our group we get the cost of one persons fare back to us (around 1200). We decided to split that money by 8 and give it back to everyone as onboard credit instead of keeping it for ourselves. It motivates everyone to book through the group, and gives them back a little for traveling for us.

    Thanks for the encouragement! We finally are seeing it differently. We just said today, "we will get married there on that date no matter what. No matter if it's just us, or all our family/friends are there". I'm trying to not stress on it, but it's hard!

    Hey everyone! Wanted to share my custom wedding stamps. Up until last month, I had no idea stamps could be personalized. We are doing postcards for save-the-dates, and the post office had no beach/travel themes stamps. Our invites and save-the-dates are starfish themed, so we did starfish stamps! We ordered them from Zazzle.com, which is also where we got our custom bags for OOT bags. Just thought I'd share! My OOT bags shipped today, I'll post a pic when I get them.

    My family has complained non-stop, and I've made changes/sacrifices due to this. I wanted my wedding to be in Punta Cana, but my parents REFUSED to agree to fly. Said they wouldn't get on a plane for anything. So since I didn't want my parents to miss my wedding, I decided to do a cruise wedding instead. It's a 7hr drive for us to the port of NY for the cruise so they don't have to fly. And they are STILL complaining, now he's saying he doesn't want to go on the ship! How are people handling this stuff??!!

    I will be cruising out of NY for my wedding. None of my family has been to Ny before, excited to spend the day before the cruise there!

    You can get clear bags at the dollar store, and then do a fold over label on the top and staple the bag shut. I was going to add beachy themed snacks. (Goldfish, Swedish fish..)

    I've been listening to a lot of the songs suggested here and now I'm changing my mind on my song choices. Love this thread! I'm now obsessed with the "somewhere over the rainbow" song.

    Yeah, I think anything goes with the flowers. I've seen the bridesmaids having smaller amounts, and the bride having bigger but with the same exact flowers. And I've seen different flowers for the bride. Whatever you choose will look great! Love the blue and yellow!

    LOVE! Thanks for sharing, I had planned on doing a Chapstick label. Good to know about bulk apothecary. I also wanted to do a label on hand sanitizer, anyone used those? I was thinking "spread love..not germs"...

    I got my save the dates through "the stylish scribe". They were destination theme, and not too expensive.

    I agree, it would be nice to match the gift to the destination. My wedding will be in Bermuda, and Bermuda is famous for their pink sand. I plan on giving everyone a small empty jar to bring some same back with them.

    Best advice: budget what you can afford, not depending on what others will give. I saw that happen to a friend, she was 100% positive that her dad would give her $5000 towards the wedding, and he ended up only giving $700.
