snswedding2016 I feel like you're experience is mine minus the fact you located another TA. I went to a Wedding Destination Event in Brampton and I met two TAs. The first one I felt a great connection with her because she seemed to know the exact type of questions to ask me. I felt like she sincerely understood me and wanted to learn more. Then I entered a drawing where I may have won 3600$ credits, I say "may" cause she needed to verify if I qualified for it since my wedding isn't until 2017. Well this TA mainly focuses romantic getaways and not weddings. And she's very busy so she really isn't "after me" like the first TA was. You know what I mean? She didn't ask me all the pertinent questions yet. She's very professional and friendly and she seems to love her work, which is what I like about her, she's passionate, but I don't think she's passionate the way I would want my wedding coordinator/TA should be. Am I crazy? I mean it's 3600$! I initially fell in love with Beach Palace but changed my mind because of the resort credits but HRRM isn't as alluring to me as BP. I'm torn and confused! My gut is telling me one thing but my budget and fiancé is telling me something completely different! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Y'all!! I'm sooooo happy I found you! TheBHolders thanks so much for creating this post!! I can't wait to get started on this crazy rollercoaster ride with you! I feel like I'm now part of a cool sisterhood I'm pretty much in the same boat as Christie77, our date has not been finalized yet. I struggle between April& August 2016. The main issues are budget and temperature! I can't have it too hot cause if the sun looks at me I melt on cue! The expression Sweating Buckets is a HUGE understatement! And we need enough time to save save save! What I have in my mind and what our budget is demanding are two hugely different points of view lol! I'm working hard on not fretting too much though. So beyond those two points, our main focus is to locate a great Destination TA. Anyone in the Toronto area who can suggest one? We've decided on the Beach Palace in Cancun Mexico due to all the positive reviews, but mainly because of their Sky Bar & Terrace! Not only do you get a view of the beautiful turquoise colored sea but it's private!! No fears of me spotting, at the corner of my eye, that random Speedo wearing sunbather strolling through the ceremony!! I swear, the mere thought causes me to wake up in a cold sweat! lol In terms of planning, that's pretty much it for us (really me cause my FI has no concept how much work this is going to be and out of the two of us, I'm the planner!) I've got a Pinterest Board chock full with ideas and inspirations, but I can't proceed until I find the TA that'll give me a concrete idea of how to proceed. Tygrrlily you are officially my Wedding Hero!! Even though it rained on your wedding day and things didn't turn out 100% the way you planned them to, you organized it so thoroughly and expertly that regardless it all fell into place beautifully! No matter how much planning you put into an event there is always a margin of "hiccups" to be expected, but girlfriend, yours were minimal! Love Love Love the color theme and decor! Your DIY projects were cute and classy! And on top of it, your guests were so much fun they made the whole vacation that much more exciting and memorable! Thanks so much for your reviews, updates, advice and tricks of the trade! I'm just so pumped for my wedding now I can't sit still lol Not 100% sure if Mexico is the place for us yet, but BP's venues are so beautiful I think I've been seduced! Now, I wanted to ask you an indiscreet question, and if you don't feel comfortable answering I completely understand, but in terms of budgeting, how much did you end up spending overall on your big day? Did you stay within your initial budget or did you go overboard? You strike me as a conscientious consumer and, from what I gather, you have great taste, so I was curious to know how much I should put aside to have a wedding as beautiful as yours!
