No real updates to post about. I’ve just about had it with my resort, we are now less than 4 weeks away and all I have settled is my times and locations. Any time I send an email I get half answers back, I’m just fed up. They told me my money is due a month in advance, but since I haven’t picked anything I still don’t know what I owe. Everyone keeps saying, don’t worry…don’t stress. This is how they are….easy for someone to say that’s not doing the planning!

@@RandL2015 I've said the same thing...I have searched for things and found other boards with brides talking about the same thing. Your wedding is getting close!! Congrats and enjoy!

Our friend, who is also our photographer, will be doing our photos. Any photos of rings, dress, etc...will actually be done the day before the wedding to get those out of the way. As for the cocktail hour, guests will go ahead and we will join them after our photos are done. I made it very clear, since we have so many people that can't make it....that my photos are sooo important to me. So I will take as much time as i need to get those done

@@deecol Actually, I made some progress with them last night. Once I said let's start from scratch they started to work with me a little. WIth the info that I was given about the sunsets, I was able to set some times. Here is what they gave me: 4:00 - ceremony 4:15 - 5:00 photos 5:00-6:00 cocktail hour 6:00 reception Feeling a little better about things!!

I think that's the problem, we are having a problem getting on the same page since everything is done through email. My last email pretty much said, ok let's start from square one. The past WC sent me a brochure to pick things from and when I mentioned that to my new WC, she asked to see the brochure. This is when she told me the brochure has changed quite a bit...that's what I mean when I say it's like pulling teeth. Think I will do that, work with my photographer and see what she has to say.

So, my wedding planner replied to a list of questions that I had sent her. One of them was about making my hair appointment, she in turn asked if I wanted to swtich my ceremony time as 2pm can be hot. I asked for her suggestion and she said 4:30 as 5 is too late because the sun starts to set. Here is my concern, if our ceremony is at 4:30 and then we have an hour long cocktail hour (which we want to attend) and then do photos before dinner. We will never fit everything in before the sun sets. I am trying SO hard not to get frustrated but it feel like I am pulling teeth. They want their money within the next couple of weeks, but I don't know what I owe as they haven't given me the checklist to start picking. In my last email I did ask when we would start working on those details. Mind you, we are a smaller group...7 of us and it seems like everything she says 10 people and up. Really hope I am reading into everthing too much, because between this and my fitting yesterday...I feel like my head is going to explode! Rant over lol

Well, no dress pictures from today's fitting. I put it on and instantly knew something wasn't right. It still needs to be taken in on the one side and they couldn't figure out what the problem is but the material underneath was all bunched up. I go back on the 7th for my next fitting and hopefully they will have everything figured out by then. Getting awfully close to the big day.

Here is the frame I put together to honor our two brothers. I went with the black frame to match the frame that we are using for our sand ceremony. So, once the ceremony is complete...behind the photo you will see layered white and pink sand. Minus the blue tape, that's the plug that I know I will lose if I remove it lol.

Hi ladies! It was suggested to me by @@deecol that I come and visit your page. I think this is a great idea and wish it was around a couple months ago when I started my weight loss. A little about me, I was dx’d with PCOS when I was 13 and have been on and off BC ever since. They say weight gain is a common problem with PCOS and as much as I would love to just blame my weight gain on that…it’s not entirely true. Plain and simple…I love food. There were times, when I would eat lunch at work (11am) and then get out around 2 and swing by McDonalds and get the biggest meal I could get. Just to turn around and eat dinner a couple hours later. I swear my car has a magnet on it that makes me turn in there. I know I am not supposed to, but man…I love it lol. I got engaged October 2014 and set our wedding date for 10/27/15 (46 days away…eek). So, like many other people I said, ok January 1st it’s on! Unfortunately, my life was turned upside down the first week of January. My younger brother who lived in Florida got really sick, so I had to fly down there and then of course, because of convenience, ate junk food nonstop. Sadly, my gram passed on February 4th and my baby brother passed away on February 27th – not knowing how to deal with the loss of my best friend, I put all my time and energy into my weight loss and wedding planning. During the cold weather months, I did the Stillman’s diet, which is lots of protein (eggs, lean meats, etc). Once it got warmer out, I then started walking the lake every day. Here we are a couple months and I am down 30lbs. I had my first dress fitting in July and the seamstress was not as impressed with my weight loss as I was lol. Sunday is my next fitting, and I can’t wait to see what it looks like now. If you want to see some before pics, here is the link to my thread. I know this will come off as so cliché, but I can’t stress enough, if I can do it…anyone can! It certainly isn’t an easy struggle, and as I typed this…in the back of my mind I keep saying…one burger can’t hurt. But stick to it ladies!!! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/79575-rivierabrides-planning-thread-102715/page-2?do=findComment&comment=1904524- 315 replies

@@Meandhim Thanks!! I can't wait to see it with all the alterations being done! Losing the weight wasn't too, too bad. I did the Stillmans diet and on that the weight pretty much falls off up to a point. Once I hit a lull, thats when I really started to kick butt with my walking and watching what I am eating.

@@ashhtayy Thank you for your condolences. It's been a rough couple of months - thank goodness for wedding planning it has helped keep my mind off of things. I will post later the frame that I put together of our brothers. I got my bouquet off of Etsy. I had found this woman who made the corsages for the mothers, and after seeing how awesome those turned out I asked if she could put together a bouquet to match. When they showed up....I couldn't have been more pleased. I am actually going to pack them in the same box they came in. I can fit the corsages in their too...so this way nothing with get damaged while traveling. If you are interested in this woman's name...let me know and I can get it for you. I love the idea of these, it looks similar to the ones I was going to get through the hotel, but these I can now keep. I see your wedding is 8 months away...congrats!! Wait till you see how fast time goes!!
