Where are all the barcelo brides?! This thread has been dead lately and I have more questions for the brides to be getting married at this resort!

We have the same dress…AND the same size!! lol I also haven't thought about taking it up due to the sand. I think taking it out an inch is the best plan, that way you don't have to stress out too much about fitting into your dress!

I am so sorry to hear that! Can I ask what size your dress is? This worries me now since we have the same dress!! My dress was a bit tight when I tried it on (haven't put it on since), but I also have quite a bit of weight to lose before the wedding. Do you have the same undergarments on underneath? Btw, I never realized how fat my back was until I tried on wedding dresses!! My back alone is the reason I had to go up a few sizes!

I recently went back to David's Bridal (where I bought my dress) to look at bridesmaids dresses. I almost cried in the store because I saw dresses that were just soooo pretty, probably even prettier than my dress! Even though my dress is beautiful…I am starting to question maybe if I looked around more I could have found something even better :/

@@amanda2016 Thank you! You ladies are lucky …like I said I have not showed my dress to anyone that will be at the wedding except for my MOH and mother in law who helped me pick it out!

@@MissJen3 I know it is really hard to decide and being type A personality I like to plan things out ahead of time! I know a lot of people say to wait…but considering I have wanted a child for several years now, I do not know how I could wait any longer!

Okay…is this a Canadian thing to call them pool mattresses? LOL! I have never heard it called that. We call them rafts or floats.

I really want the matching veil, but it was kind of pricey! Congrats on having a fabulous dress

Did they say how much your alterations would cost?? Because of my height I swear I am going to need like a foot taken off!! lol

REALLY??! I have actually seen quite a few brides that have the same one. (Kind of makes me sad that I am not the ONLY one with that dress…but it is BEAUTIFUL, and hey my friends and family haven't seen anyone where it!) @@kmk2016 what is a pool mattress? I want our OOT bags to be REALLY nice, considering my guests are traveling so far, it is the least I could do.

Oh NO way! I have been getting my hair colored since I was 16, and I have about a million colors in there…it would be so hard to match extensions to my hair!!

I was going to put sunscreen in my OOT bags, but then I read a thread on here about what were "hits" & "misses" for other peoples OOT bags. They said sunscreen was NOT used by hardly anyone because everyone brought their own since they were going somewhere they knew they would need it.

I bought my dress a few months ago. I actually did not take any pictures (my MOH has a few on her phone). & the dress is at my MOH's house. The only people who have seen the dress, and that I will let see the dress are my maid of honor & mother in law. Everyone else I want to be surprised…including the groom! I like the first font the best too! I just like so many fonts it is hard to narrow it down to just one. Plus the mother in law thinks more than one font would look better…haven't shown her this yet though. Just trying to get opinions. Thank you for replying!

Thank you for sharing that site…it looks super helpful! I swear I did EVERYTHING to hide my clip ins but it was still hard to conceal (I had to use less), and then it was hard to make it look natural LOL. Do most places dye extensions for you? I know the hair salons I have been too will only dye your hair to match extensions, not the other way around.

I have had clip in extensions in the past, but my hair is so fine they are VERY hard to conceal. You are crazy if you pick anything other than that hair style…seriously I would come to st. lucia on your wedding day just to see the hair!!

I have looked all over at invitations. I finally decided to make them, and have everything I need now. I just cannot get past formatting the actually wording (colors, fonts, sizes). What should have taken me a few hours has taken me weeks!

I am so lucky that I have a great mother in law to be, and she helps me with EVERY detail of my wedding. I am not close to my step mom however, but to make her feel included, I normally show her things AFTER the fact of making decisions. I sent her my website when it was done, I have offered to have her hair and make up done with the team we hired, I hired a DJ and then asked her to give me ideas for songs for them to play, etc. It is an easy answer to say, oh we have already made the decision and it cannot be changed now. Also, tell your FI he does need to stick up for the both of you! Mothers and mother in laws are important, but their opinion is not more important than the bride and groom! Good luck
