  1. 1) love the lashes 2) love the brows 3) love the welcome letter design and layout Basically, love everything you've done. How are you doing? I hope you're feeling better and that the burn is healing nicely. ☺️
  2. @@moonpalacebride2be don't forget the complimentary bouquet you get with the package, you can also use those for the guest book table if you weren't going to use them as your bridal bouquet. I believe you get a dozen roses. If you don't mind me asking, how much are the flowers? Can you pm me? Perhaps I can do something similar for decor. I'm still trying to figure out centerpieces. I like the idea of tall centerpieces and have thought about babysbreath but I want colour. Still looking through Pinterest for some ideas. And thanks for asking about the tables! I had the same question
  3. @@moonpalacebride2be I love your colours! I wish I was creative bc I do agree that it would save a .ot of money! The exchange rate is really eating into our budget and it's an unexpected cost. I didn't anticipate our Canadian dollar to be so low! That's great about the bulk flowers are you just ordering flowers for your bouquets or for the centrepieces as well? And I just asked my coordinator about the extra tier and it's only $99 usd
  4. Another Canadian bride? Yay!!! Yes, definitely get your TA to see if they can contact them for you. My TA is a destination wedding specialist and she travels to resorts quite often so she has her connections. Even my wedding coordinator knows who she is so I was quite impressed! Are you asking about the air travel contract or palace contract? We went with Air Transat and we get every 11th person free. We also get priority boarding, a reserved overhead cabin for my wedding dress, free seat selection and I think we get a free room upgrade. My fiancé hates the idea of travelling with a lot of decorations so most of it is rented from LatinAsia. I'm bringing a few things but not a lot And I hope you find your dress!!!
  5. @@TinkerSofi yay, I can't wait to see what you've bought. I absolutely love Nordstrom because they have a nice selection and carry our size! Yes, please post a pic when you get a chance
  6. @@KatieMcBride your photos are beautiful, thank you for sharing. You can't even tell that you guys are freezing, you hid that well lol
  7. @@TinkerSofi love all the updates on the diy projects! Love the envelopes for the first aid kit and I'm so glad the bags turned out well So I'm a size 5 in shoes too and am a bit of a shoe addict. My fiancé had to build me a shoe wall in our walk in closet so I can showcase all my shoes! Lol yes, I have a problem. I've had no problem looking for shoes in our size so I can try helping you out if you like. What type of shoes were you looking for and what's your budget? If you don't want to spend too much, I find aldo online has a ton of size 5s since they look at what's in stock across Canada. They accept returns at stores if you don't like them. Nine West, especially the outlet store always has a nice selection of size 5. Aside from that, across the border, nordstrom carries as small as size 4. They can ship to Canada and carry Valentino, Kate Spade, Monolo, etc. The Bay online is also pretty good, they've expanded their store here in Vancouver and the downtown store has a great shoe department
  8. @@tygrrlily I love the dove grey one! I bought the lace blush one and maybe it's not as poufy with the lace. But I love the poufiness, I don't think I've ever outgrown playing dress up lol. Maybe try it with t-shirts to dress it down a bit?
  9. Sorry Lily, bought a blush one already for our engagement photos. If I had a different colour, I would have bought it from you in a heartbeat. I love tulle skirts and don't mind wearing it around, just so I can feel like a princess or ballerina lol Are you sure you don't want to keep it? If you have an upcoming wedding to attend, it will be a good skirt to dress up.
  10. @@moonpalacebride2be yay we have the same locations! My coordinator recommended them to me and said those are her favourite locations. I'm not great with makeup or hair and thought this was one day I don't mind splurging! We've booked them to do mine, my MOH, two bridesmaids, MOB and MOG. It will be fun having everyone get ready in the room and drinking champagne. We're having photos taken whole getting ready too. LatinAsia is a preferred vendor for flowers and decor. Just double check with your coordinator since Palace has done a lot of changes in the wedding dept. LatinAsia is great to deal with and super responsive. I have heard great things about Maya Floral so you can't go wrong with them. Our colors are coral and grey and have also gone with the complimentary wedding package since I wanted to decorate it however way we want. We've rented a chuppah with white draping because I like that look better. The one with the complimentary package is nice but I've always envisioned it to look a certain way. I'm not very creative so I won't be doing too many DIYs. The only thing would probably be our table numbers and my friend is making our place cards. I do like the Polaroid idea so I may also do that. Who's your photographer? @@FutureMrsSam my destination wedding travel coordinator actually arranged all of my contracts with Moon Palace. She just had me sign and review the contract, tell her my ceremony date and time preference and she dealt with them the whole time. It may be different for me since I'm Canadian. Here we book our flight and accommodations as a package. I didn't find it too long but I was doing this around October. I know that right now their really busy so that may be what's delaying things for you. I've seen the peacock package in photos and it looks so nice. We went with the complimentary package since we wanted to add our own touches. I'm a bit of a bridezilla that way lol I know a bride who actually had her wedding at Caribeno beach. She highly recommended it since it's more secluded. I love the dress! But if you want strapless, maybe it will be more cost efficient to find a strapless dress with similar aspects of that dress? It may be really costly to do all those alterations. I hope you do find it though so you can try it on!
  11. @@marinah84 your pics are beautiful! Kudos to your brother Your little girl's dress came out beautifully, love the colorful tulle. She looks like a fairy! I hope you two had a great time on your mini honeymoon. At least you guys were alone for that
  12. @@moonpalacebride2be congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum!!! So glad to see another moon palace bride. Planning is going well, I'm a Jan 2016 bride So far I've booked all vendors: Hair and makeup: Styling Trio Photographer: Samuel Luna DJ: PSAV Flowers and decor: LatinAsia We're having between 25-30 guests and have reserved cocktail hour at Tucan Garden and reception at tucan terrace, we'll be having a beach ceremony. I've also already bought my dress, it's hanging in my closet right now Please share your details @@FutureMrsSam how's the wedding planning coming along?
  13. @@kcole123 sorry, the seller is misdress? I can't seem to find it. I found an "asdress"
  14. @@kcole123 I love your dress! Gonna check out that seller asap! @@calgarybride2015 thanks for the tip! I'm sure my cycle will fall during our wedding. It has a way of doing that! Lol
  15. You are such a gorgeous bride, absolutely stunning! Thanks for the sneak peek and mini review of Samuel, I'm so glad we went with him. I saw that facebook pic yesterday and loved it, I didn't know that was you! Such a gorgeous shot
  16. @@kcole123 I know what you mean about the lashes. You'd think that laying there with your eyes closed would be relaxing but I got claustrophobic! Your lashes look fantastic, so glad you went with a place who knows how to do them well, it shows I agree that your swimsuit design looks great. I'm sure it was frustrating trying on swimsuits with a pushy saleswoman hounding you. I kinda giggled at your list bc I could see myself getting all bridezilla on her lol Wishing you positive vibes for when your second dress arrives. Hopefully it will be a perfect fit and it can be one thing crossed off on your to do list!
  17. @@veryvalentine omg are you ok? I'm so sorry to hear about your bronchitis and most of all, your second degree burn. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for you. You still have three months for the pain to subside and lungs to clear up. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers ❤️
  18. I love the video Lily! Your videographer truly captured all the emotions throughout the day and did such a great job piecing it all together. Thank s to you, I have something to help convince my fiancé that a videographer is a must lol
  19. @@veryvalentine I love your swimsuit! And thanks for the tip, I have 3 email addresses I can use lol. I agree, let's all keep each other in the loop
  20. @@TinkerSofi I have to commend you for at least trying I don't have a creative bone in me so I give up before trying lol Love the belt, and it's a steal at that price!
  21. @ I know, I'm so tempted to buy one of the bangles on sale instead to save costs but I think I really want the MOH and bridesmaid idiom bangles as presents. I'll just wait got their next 30% off sale. I'll be sure to send you that when I get it
  22. @@Victoriabride that is a tough situation you're in. Personally (and please don't take any offense to my thoughts) I wouldn't ask for help unless you really need it. If you can both afford to pay for the wedding then I don't see a point asking. I don't think anyone is entitled to have parents pay for anything once you're an adult. They have spent enough time, love and money raising you. My mom is a single mom who raised three kids on her own. She would give the shirt of her back for us. I could not ask her to help us pay for anything especially knowing that she's already given us so much. Your parents attending your wedding and spending money without hesitation is already a great thing. I have read so many instances on this forum where parents refuse to attend bc of costs and hassles! I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear but just my thought. Perhaps you can explain to your fiancé that if they knew you were in a difficult position, that they would be more than happy to help you out financially
  23. Thank you so much for your detailed review, and photos! I'll see how much Palace charges for setting up decor and do a cost analysis. My fiancé is completely against us bringing so much luggage back and forth so we've had to go through the resort vendors for a lot of the decor. He says it's worth the money but this way, I can still save money! Sorry to be a bother but I just had a few questions (may not be the last) 1) Was it quite easy to pack everything after and return the decor? 2) how much were the sparklers? 3) did the resort set up everything for you, including the lights? Thank you so much
  24. Thanks for the quick reply @! I really loved your photos, they looked like the ones I first saw when I was looking up destination weddings and convinced me that was the way to go. Basically, yours could be used for ads lol How did you get out of having to pay the vendor fee? My wedding is at moon palace and they have vendor fees for so many things. They even have an electricity fee ($250) for outside DJs, on top of the $800 outside vendor fee!
  25. @ your wedding photos are amazing! You looked so beautiful in your dress and I love the decor. Did you bring most of those down or did you have the resort provide decor?
