  1. @@diadiamond I love your planning thread! You must be getting so excited as your big day nears. I love your bridal shower, I love the tea pot cake. You have done such a great job with everything, and I love your OOT/welcome bags. Your guests are gonna appreciate just how thoughtful you are, you've included everything! I may have to steal a few ideas. Quick question, where did you get your Advil packets? I can't find them anywhere!
  2. You and Juan look so happy on those pics. Congrats again! Your dad's pretty good with the camera!
  3. You look beautiful for your legal ceremony! Congrats on being a mrs. Good luck with the packing, now it's time to countdown the hours
  4. @@snswedding2016 WOW, beautiful photos! Terre Bleu is such an amazing backdrop for your engagement photos. Your photographer is wonderfully skilled too and knows how to capture emotions and light perfectly. You and Sean are quite photogenic and you both look do comfy in front of the camera.
  5. @yooyoo definitely not tacky at all! I think your cake will look beautiful and no one will care if the flowers are real or fake. The flowers look great in that photo and I'm sure they'll photograph well on your wedding day too
  6. Oh no, im so sorry to hear work has made this week so stressful for you. You are so prepared so at least you do t have to worry about your wedding planning! Pat yourself in the back because if you think about it, had you not been so organized, work would not have been the only stressor. You're lucky in that it's only work. Pretty soon you'll be done and once you're on that plane, work can't follow you to Mexico! You'll leave it behind and you'll only have your wedding to Juan to concentrate on. Woohoo!!!
  7. @@acw271011 yay, I'm so happy that you've booked your resort and set your vow renewal date I've heard so many great things about Valentin. I asked for their brochure but unfortunately couldn't book there since we have kids attending. Please post pics of you in your dress. I can't wait to see it on you! Mike Canterell's videos are awesome, good choice
  8. @@deecol that is adorable! Such a clever idea and one that Derrick would absolutely refuse to do
  9. @@veryvalentine I am so sorry for the late post, I don't know how I missed this thread. You looked so beautiful in your wedding gown! And your wedding looked so fun and elegant. I'm so glad the rain, or rather storm subsided on your wedding day! How does it feel to be a married woman?
  10. @@JoannaBanana congrats on choosing your date and resort! I can't wait to hear more about your planning Oh and I wouldn't consider you cheap, that's a ridiculous quote you received from that etsy seller. For that price, that better involve personal delivery by the seller to each of those invited lol
  11. Hi @@MegLeLy and welcome to the forum! Congratulations, you have so many wonderful and happy occasions to look forward to. You have plenty of time and we're all here if you have any questions
  12. @@deecol oops, sorry I totally misread your post. I thought Colin had prepared the groomsman box! Lol Ok so Derrick and Colin sound too alike Derrick knew his best man would definitely make fun of him if he did anything like that. I couldn't see the attachment though.
  13. @@deecol thank you so much for the kind words ☺️ I love that you took the casual route to asking your bridal entourage while your fiancé went the elaborate way. You guys are cute. To tell you the truth, I saw a whole bunch of bridal "proposals" to their bridesmaids on Instagram and that's how I got inspired. I asked Derrick if he'd like me to order a label for his best man. He looked at me, picked up his phone and texted his best man. Then said, all done. Lol
  14. @@TinkerSofi I'm still shocked at their rude customer service. It always shocks me that these types of owners are unaware that the best and worst advertising is word-of-mouth. Well I'm sure they'll lose a lot of business. And if your eyes are sensitive, being that it's so close to your wedding date, I agree with your decision to hold off on lash extensions. But if your eyes are sensitive, will your eyes be ok with the glue/adhesive for the strip lashes? If you're getting your lashes tinted and you have naturally long lashes, you may not even need them. I have a friend with blond lashes and everytime she gets them tinted for the first time, her eyes just pop! It's as dramatic of an effect as false lashes.
  15. Haha @@calgarybride2015 I love that! Yup, I'm sure my friends will agree with that post, I can definitely be an alpha bitch @@Danielle1 thank you so much It's not feasible to do when your bridesmaids live far away. Plus, don't you have a lot of bridesmaids? That would have been a lot of wine
  16. @@TinkerSofi that's such poor customer service! Since they didn't technically do the service completely, they should refund you the money. You shouldn't be at a loss for something that's within the control of the business! So I've mentioned it to you ladies already but I was not blessed with full long mashes so I gave tried almost anything to lengthen them. In addition to lash extensions, I've also used strip false lashes (which I'm using for my wedding) and younique fiver lashes. Younique dies work like @@calgarybride2015 said. I suggest you try it out to get used to it though. If applied incorrectly, it can look a little like spider legs lol. Google younique fails and you'll see what I mean. But once you get the hang of it, wow, the lashes are super long!
  17. @@acw271011 we've booked Samuel Luna too! Great minds think alike
  18. Your wedding bands are beautiful! Good choice in not hiding any part of your e-ring. It would've a shame to not be able to see the full beauty of your e-ring @@calgarybride2015 he's a Gemini, funny and adaptable. Definitely fits him to a T!
  19. @ you can definitely join the bday biatch train lol The more the merrier! And same here, Der keeps me grounded. He's the little angel on my shoulder who whispers that I should be nicer lol. And "Harriet"? That's so not even close. This wasn't at Starbucks but someone once called me Bridgette.
  20. @@calgarybride2015 thanks so much. But as I've said before, I'm sure I'm not the only one who shares this sentiment but you have played such a big role in all of our planning. Your advice and support means the world to us. I know I definitely appreciate it @@ashhtayy thanks so much! At least I got to propose too lol
  21. @@calgarybride2015 you and I will be bday biatches together Could it be because we're Leo's? Lol @@yycbride2016 you and a lot of brides on here are a bunch of Martha Stewarts to me! If I only had one ounce of creativity that you ladies have. Oh and I didn't know they deliberately misspelled your name too. Wow, I feel bad for your friend to be marrying someone like that. Honestly, many people have misspelled my name, just go to any Starbucks and it's always a treat to see how they spell my name. It's not the end of the world!
  22. @@ashhtayy see, it's not all wedding planning on this forum lol Mike should be used to Canucks bashing, coming from Vancouver, we're the best fans and the worst fans too since we love to bash them when they're losing lol. I will pm you the jeweller's name. His office is in downtown. Hopefully you'll get to see him. If you have any questions, feel free to ask
  23. That's such a great deal for a whole day of photography! I hope it all works out in the end As for the diy projects, wow, you are truly amazing! I can't believe you've turned pb jars into beautiful candle jars. They'll fit so well with your theme. And that woman is a real piece of work. It's not like it was misspelled to the point you got her name wrong. Ooh, an extra e, regardless it still reads like her name! That is so rude to post it on social media, and to talk about price? Wow! Get off your high horse lady, as if she's never made a mistake in her life. And a simple no thank you rsvp you've sufficed! I would keep writing her name like that from now on lol. But I'm a biatch that way muahaha
  24. @@yycbride2016 thank you so much. I got to enjoy the wine when they opened it so double win for me lol @ thanks! I'm sure you would have done the same or something more creative had your bridesmaids been local. I was lucky to have all them by me so it was easier to pull off
  25. Bridal Party: As soon as we got engaged, I started planning my own bridal party proposal. I knew right from the start who would make up my party: my sister as my MOH and my three best friends would be my bridesmaids. Being the eldest, my sister has always been there for me and I knew that on my special day, she would make the best MOH. I’ve known my three best friends since we were 10 years old. I have been a bridesmaid for two of them and I knew that I needed them by my side. Like every new bride, I turned to pinterest and etsy for ideas and these sites did not disappoint. I decided that I would propose with custom wine bottle labels. I found a seller on etsy that had our exact colours in one of their designs so I ordered them right away. If anyone is interested, the seller was very responsive and the labels were perfect. The first person I “proposed” to was my sister. I came over for a Sunday bbq with the wine bottle in a bag and placed it on the counter. She immediately asked what type of wine I brought so I told her to look for herself. She looked at the label and immediately started crying and said yes! I “proposed” to my bridesmaids during my birthday dinner. We all went out to a nice restaurant and I had hidden the wine bottles in a large bag. After dinner, we were all just chatting and they surprised me with my birthday present. After I opened my present, I told them to all close their eyes. They all looked confused but did as I asked. I placed their personalized bottle in front of them and then told them to open their eyes. They were so excited, and obviously said yes!
