@@cruisebride2016 I love your motivation! You are doing so well, way to go girl! @@vancouverpetunia welcome back! How was your trip? I'm so glad you've joined us. I'm glad you have a friend to join you in your fitness/health journey. I know you'll be able to meet your goals by April and we're here to motivate you:) And great job turning down the chocolate cookie, that's a step in the right direction @@deecol Great job hun! How are you feeling? How is the HIITmax program? I've been tempted to try it but didn't know if it was good or not. As for me, I have not had a great week. I had my bachelorette party last Saturday and after a lot of drinking and eating, unfortunately my body gave up on me. I have been sick with a fever and a bad cold since Sunday. So basically I haven't exercised. I also haven't eaten too much since I can't taste anything at all. I have been so tempted to workout but Der says I'll just get worse. I'm hoping I'll get better soon!

@@STBMrsPowell your colours sound beautifully elegant. I think the cobalt against the chocolate will look so sophisticated, then add the calla lilies, wow! Planning decor in the complimentary package wasn't too bad, as long as you have an idea of a vision for your wedding. The only thing that's really affecting our budget is the horrible Canadian dollar. When we first started planning, our dollar was higher and now it's at its lowest since 2004. Aside from that, I'd love a videographer but I don't think I can add to our budget at this point. The fireworks sounds great, they always look good in pics. What I can tell you about early stage planning at Palace resorts is to ask for a complete list of ALL approved vendors. I think every bride has been told only certain vendors for certain things like DJ and decor, only to find out there are other vendors. Some are cheaper than others so definitely shop around. Also make sure you save email messages of decisions. I've had to rely on this when it comes to vendor fees (they were gonna charge me more but saved a previous email from my WC quoting less). I love BM shoes. My sister in law wore blue jewelled ones for her wedding. They were gorgeous!

Thank you very much for the kind words @@STBMrsPowell ☺️ And congratulations to you as well! I see you're getting married at Moon Palace Jamaica. I've seen a few photos from there and they did an amazing job! It's such a beautiful resort. How's your wedding planning coming along?

Your wedding band is beautiful! I love how your rings look together and I love that your wedding band looks so beautiful that it can be worn on its own. I'm glad it cost under your budget, I definitely agree that independent jewellers are awesome! I hope you have a great time at your site visit! Keep us posted

Those don't look like fake flowers at all! They're really beautiful and elegant and will look beautiful against the coral bridesmaid dresses. And I can't believe the price, what a steal! You've done so well with your flowers and your dress. Reusing flowers and decor is definitely a great idea, and I plan to do the same. All the flowers from our ceremony location will be reused for our reception. We're going with real flowers do it's even more important to reuse!!

First off, congratulations on your engagement! I love your story and am so glad you two were able to make your long distance relationship work. We were on the Epic last year, we're Norwegian cruisers. My family loves cruises so we've been to three so far. I've heard a lot of great things about Royal Caribbean and excite to learn more about cruise weddings. Can't wait to hear more about your plans

Thanks @@yycbride2016 I still can't believe so many ladies came out. One even flew from San Francisco for it. I honestly couldn't have asked for better friends. I'm still so touched. And I love that dress, it actually has a sexy key hole back! @@acw271011 thank you so much! I'm not wearing a veil on my wedding day (fir now anyways) so my sister bought it so I could feel what it's like to wear one ☺️ Are you in town for vacation? I can definitely give you a list of restaurants if you'd like. My bridesmaids actually want to bring it to Mexico with us! I said that one of them would have to bring it bc with my luck, I'd get the red light and be searched carrying it! Can you imagine? Lol My friend used to work for cbsa and she said she'd deliberately pull out vibratory when she saw them during checks. They do it for fun lol

I had my stagette last Saturday and I must say, I have the best bridal entourage for organizing such a fun event. We decided to have my stagette 4 months earlier so we could take advantage of the nice weather. Plus, with all the upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day), it would have been really difficult to schedule since everyone gets really busy. There were 21 of us and all of them wore pink since it's my favourite colour. During the day, my sister/MOH took me to Blo to get my hair done. I chose to have my hair down since I'll have it up for the wedding. My sister bought me a tiara with a veil and a "bride 2 be" sash to complete my bridal look, it was really cute. We had a limo pick us up and we headed off to a new restaurant in downtown Vancouver called Glowbal. The restaurant just opened last month and I must say, it is beautiful. It's really upscale and kind of had a New York vibe. We started off at the lounge for drinks and appies and then headed off to our private dining room. My bridesmaids set up the room and had fun things like penis straws, and buttons that said "frisky, wild, etc." They also had a small canvas for "Kiss the Miss Goodbye" where everyone applied lipstick, kissed the canvas and signed it. I love that idea and will be a great memorabilia from the night. We also took "Before" and "After" photos. They also had me play "How well do you know your future husband" game. With this game, my bridal entourage thought it would be fun to have me drink each time I had the wrong answer. BUT to make the game more fun, my drink would come out of a penis gun. Yup, my girls got me a giant penis that I had to squirt LOL It was hilarious! I'm proud to say, I only had three questions (out of 10) incorrect. My sweet brother also surprised us by sending a bottle of Patron to the room. I was touched by his generous gift and when I called to thank him he said "I only get married once". The night was really fun and let's just say that it's Monday and I'm still recovering. Plus, I think I'm now getting sick but that party was worth getting sick!!!

How about some starfish? You've gone with a beach theme so would either drawing starfish or decorating it with shells work?

Ok I have to start off by saying how gorgeous you look in your wedding dress! I love the bottom and the sweetheart neckline looks great on you. And $650? That's a steal! I love the how organized you are! My family bought me a wedding iPad to keep me organized (they know my type A personality too well lol). I'm gonna prep my wedding binder soon with all the receipts and correspondences. I'll bring that to Mexico with us. I love your ceremony location! And your colours are gorgeous (mine are pretty similar to yours, grey and coral). It's gonna be such a romantic colour scheme ☺️ As for your parents, I'm sure they'll behave themselves for your sake!

You leave in 5 weeks? Wow, you must be so excited! Everything looks fantastic! The navy dress from lulus looks great. I love navy, it's such a sophisticated colour. And your rings look fantastic, can't wait to see them all on you. Ok and your dress.....WOW!!! Such a beautiful dress, I can't wait to see it on you. I love the lace and low back. I know it's stressful but I'm sure all the alterations will work out in time!

I love your planning thread and why wouldn't I? The story of how you met is super cute and I'd say that's definitely a "meant to be" moment. I love that it was featured in the newspaper too...take that cheating ex! And I love your engagement story. Colin is so romantic! You got such a great deal on your trip. I'm so jealous!

@@acw271011 thank you so much! I love our custom rings and am glad we went down that route. Waffle loves attention so she loved her little photo shoot! And yes, you should get a tulle skirt! They're so fun to wear @@maria1488 not a stupid question at all. The flowers from the gazebo are actually arranged together and can be easily detached from the gazebo. Like @@calgarybride2015 said, they just lay them flat on the table and can be used as a big centerpiece. No sense wasting good flowers

@@ashhtayy I'm so glad you joined us! You sound like you live quite an active life already with all the sports you play. With most life changes like a new job and moving, it can get pretty hectic so don't be too hard on yourself. Plus, I'm sure you're burning a lot of calories moving boxes and lifting things! And based on your pic in your wedding dress, you're looking quite hot already @@deecol @ thanks for the support. This weekend will definitely be bad on my liver @@ashhtayy I'm so glad you joined us! Plus, I'm sure you're burning a lot of calories moving boxes and lifting things! And based on your pic in your wedding dress, you're looking quite hot already @@deecol @ thanks for the support. This weekend will definitely be bad on my liver. My workouts have been incorporated in my weekly schedule so it's not hard to get myself to go. I've basically gotten to the point that my week feels incomplete if I don't go to my workout classes. As for pop, believe it or not but I can't burp. Since I can't burp, carbonated drinks just make me feel bloated and it eventually hurts my stomach. People always thought I was faking and that I was just pretending I couldn't burp to be more "ladylike". I set them straight when I explained to them that if a person can't burp, there's only one other way gas can come out and that's not very "ladylike" at all! Lol That basically settles that argument quickly

So it's been two weeks since this group started and this week was not my best in terms of eating. We went away during the weekend on a family camping trip and it was carb overload. I confess that a whole bag of marshmallows was annihilated by my nephew and I (I apparently have no self-control when it comes to roasted marshmallows). Then we all did copious amounts of tequila shots. As a result, my stomach was not happy with me and I could not keep anything down from Sunday to Tuesday. Despite all that, I still managed to put in a solid effort at bootcamp yesterday and Pilates tonight. So at least I ended it on a good note. This week will be another bad weekend. My stagette is this Saturday So basically it will be a lot of drinking! I'm so excited and will keep you all posted. To make up for it, I intend on working out 4x next week (bootcamp on Monday and Wednesday, then Pilates on Tuesday and Thursday). I'm also going to try to make healthier meals, inspired by @@yycbride2016, @@deecol and @ In terms of wedding planning, this week I bought my last bridesmaid's dress! Woohoo, they're all done. And I bought my nephew/ring bearer's outfit. As soon as it arrives, I will post it on my thread. My goal is to now find Derrick's outfit! Wish us luck
