Groom's Attire Since we're at 4 months out, unwashed getting nervous that we were cutting it close to finding a suit for Derrick. He kept stalling in shopping for one saying he wanted to lose weight before shopping. Well he finally gave up and we've been shopping for his suit. We went to Moore's but unfortunately he's too big for regular sizing (his chest and shoulders are quite broad) but too small for big and tall clothes. I researched a bit and thought that we should get a custom suit made. I've always liked Indichino suits and they're well priced so we made an appointment for last weekend. They have great customer service and really walk you through all the options, including fabric breathability and what combination works. So we ended up buying a three piece grey suit and a white shirt too. He's only going to wear the pants, shirt and vest but we got the whole thing so he can wear it for other occasions. We're going to buy a coral tie and pocket square for his vest too. I'm super excited! One less thing to worry about. Oh and the good part, they'll have it made by end of October. His first fitting is in November so that gives us plenty of time. This is the suit we bought:

Congrats on booking your honeymoon! That must be so exciting.I've never been there but I hear it's gorgeous. And your bridesmaid's dress is beautiful. I love the blue, it's a great tone for the beach. If you need a jeweler contact, let me know. I'm not sure if you wanted to do custom but if you do, I'd gladly share his info.

@@vancouverpetunia thanks for the well wishes. I will definitely take it easy this week, I don't want to get worse! @@cruisebride2016 you are so motivated and such an inspiration. Great job with all the exercises you've completed. Don't feel bad about being above your calorie goal weight. You've been tracking and being more aware of what you're eating, so that's a great start! And I commend you for planning ahead of time for your cruise. I'm weaker than you and tend to indulge at all the buffets, especially chocolate buffet night! During our last cruise, I made sure I signed up for gym classes and they helped a lot. Because I had to pay for the sessions, it forced me to attend them and I loved that I was actually active while on vacation.

Thanks @@deecol I'm really glad it's not something worse. I will definitely rest to make sure I get better. And yes, you're right, I will keep with a clean diet although I find that I actually lose weight when I'm on antibiotics. My body us resistant to amoxicillin now and I'm now on biaxin. It does a number on my stomach so I make sure to eat yogurt with probiotics!

@@deecol are you ok? I'm sorry to hear about the family stress. If you need to vent, I'm always here for you I'm glad you've used the negativity to your advantage though. And that totally sucks about the gym membership. I agree about not being able yo justify paying for a membership if you have a gym in the building. Maybe just up your HIIT training as substitution? @@vancouverpetunia you go girl! You're totally rocking it and I love how motivated you are! If you keep this up, you'll hit your goals in no time! @@SunshineDreamKay you're doing so well too! 3 workouts? Wow, that's awesome! @@JoannaBanana you're hilarious! Bargain hunting around michaels will be great cardio lol. Load up your cart and you can add weights while shopping lol As for me, despite still being sick, I managed to do two bootcamp sessions and one Pilates! My bootcamp yesterday was awesome, my legs are still sore from all the squats. As I told you all earlier this week, my coworker scared me so I went to see the Dr on Tuesday and I had a chest X-ray done. Well on my way home from work , I got a phone call from my dr's office and my heart stopped. They said they got the results of my X-ray and I needed to come in (that's never a good sign). So apparently I have bronchitis. I was relieved because at least it wasn't pneumonia. So now I have to take antibiotics for a week and I've been advised against working out until the bronchitis is gone my Dr says he normally allows ppl with bronchitis to do mild exercises but with my weakened lungs, he advised that I refrain all together. As stubborn as I am, we're now at less than 4 months and I need to make sure I'm at 100% by then. So I guess my health goal this week is to kick bronchitis in the butt and get better. Since I can't workout, I will focus on wedding tasks. Der and I have an appointment with Indochino to get his custom suit for the wedding. Woohoo, I can't wait! We're also going to Michaels to buy some wood frames so we can paint them coral for our table numbers. Aside from that, we'll label and mail out our invitations.

@@deecol thanks so much for the well wishes! You are seriously rocking the workouts and clean eating, you are amazing!!! So I just came back from the Dr and he didn't hear anything in my lungs. He did send me for a chest xray and I guess I just wait for the results. I do know that when I went in for a chest xray last time and they found out I had pneumonia, I was told immediately. I was told right after my xray. The xray technician actually made me go to my dr right after to set up an appointment. SO the fact that they didn't seem worried kinda reassures me. So today I'll heading to pilates, at least it's not as strenuous on my lungs! On another positive note, my dr's receptionist commented on my weight lost and how I looked good. Woohoo, that seriously made my day! And welcome to the group @@SunshineDreamKay. I'm so glad you've decided to join us! Let us know if you need any help or tips.

I love your bridesmaids' dresses and like @, I wish I had seen them and considered full length dresses. Maybe I'll get one for myself to wear around the resort, maybe for our rehearsal dinner if we have one? And those Michaels finds are great! I love the frames and will check them out too. I need silver frames and those are a great deal. And the roses are a great colour, they do look good all together. Like @, we are using greenery in our bouquets and they're similar to lamb's ear. They're called dustin miller and I chose them to add a touch of "silver/grey" to the bouquet. They're fuzzy and I love how they look. As for your hairstyle, I was considering that exact one! I saw a bride on Say Yes to the Dress request the same Hillary Duff hairstyle. It looked so pretty on her. It will look great on you with your veil and your dress.

Don't worry about laughing at Der, I tease him all the time about being so nervous! He's so nervous that I'm actually serious about him needing ativan! We're gonna have to do a test run first since he's never taken it before. Can you imagine if he doesn't react well to it and he's just a drooling zombie come wedding day? LOL And I love your table arrangement! I love the coloured glass and they all go really well together! Are you going to use real tealight candles or the led battery operated ones? I'm just thinking that if it's windy, you may want to use the battery operated ones. And will you have a flower for the vase? I was thinking maybe even a single flower would be nice to add a pop of colour? P.S. I hope you get well soon

Thanks @! I'm back to work now after being home sick for 6 days! I still have a chest cough and a runny nose but no fever. I was almost sent home yesterday bc I'm still coughing. I have an appt with the Dr today to make sure my lungs are ok. My coworker scared me yesterday by telling me about her friend who also had bilateral pneumonia last year. She apparently has pneumonia again and is now waiting for a lung transplant!!! She said she wanted to warn me since I was getting married. I told her I was fine since I actually got the pneumonia shot (yes there is a pneumonia shot and although typically reserved for the elderly, I was that bad that they gave it to me). And my coworker said her friend also got the shot and still got pneumonia! So now I'm a bit scared and that's why I scheduled my appt. On a positive note, I still went to bootcamp yesterday since I figured I've rested enough and it would be somewhat of a test to see how weak my lungs were. I totally killed it and felt really good. I still have my cough this morning and will keep you posted on my Dr's appt. Please send me positive vibes today! @@yycbride2016 don't be so hard on yourself! You have been killing your workouts and your diet has been awesome. Even on your worst weekend you still ran 5km! That's awesome. Do let your body rest while sick. You don't want to end up like me!

Ooh I love the taco bar idea. Actually I love the tortilla chip bar even more...I love my chips I saw your pics from the wedding and it looked like so much fun. I can't believe you've had to change the capacity to 200. That's great though that so many ppl want to celebrate with you guys! You must feel so loved. And as for vows, I'm still trying to convince Der that we should do them. I hate public speaking and it terrifies me too but I think they would be so meaningfull. Der is already terrified about being the center of attention and had already mentioned needing ativan to calm down lol. He got terrified watching my brother get married because it dawned on him that he would have to do the same. So right now my main concern is keeping my loving groom from fainting or puking! Lol once I figure that out, we'll revisit the vows

I love Sean's ring! Isn't it funny how the men take longer to decide on rings? I can't believe that couple would ask for so much and try to get a good deal. And to invite themselves to your honeymoon, who would do that? Good call on not telling them lol And have a great time at your site visit! I wish I could have done that but it wasn't within our budget

Oh wow, you leave tomorrow?!?! I'm so excited for you. I'm glad you were able to get so much accomplished beforehand and that you were able to take a few days off. I love your nails! Shellac is really good. They last forever on my toes Well I wish you all the best during your wedding week. Early congratulations to you both and I can't wait to hear stories when you get back

My week has not been good at all. I have been home sick for the last 4 days with a bad cold and fever. It started off with bad congestion and fever and it has now progressed to runny nose, fever and bad chest cold. Der has forbidden me to do anything, and I know it's because he's worried about me. You see, last year I was sick for 2.5 months with bilateral pneumonia. It started off as a bad cold and worsened to pneumonia in both lungs. He was so worried about me when I was sick that the poor guy ended up getting shingles! I know that once you get pneumonia, you are more susceptible to it so now I'm taking it easy. Ugh, can't wait until I'm better...I'm sick of staying home

So I have been home sick for the last 4 days but today I got something in the mail that's made me feel better....I got our formal wedding invitations As soon as we got engaged, Derrick's sister/my future SIL asked if she could make our wedding invitations. She makes cards for fun and I love all of her designs so of course I couldn't turn down her offer. My future MIL paid for all of the supplies including the card pockets, card stock, embossing powder, stamp and envelope. It was very generous of her. Back in July, my future SIL made two different versions for us to choose from. Right away, Der and I fell in love with one of them. So last month, my future SIL worked hard to finish all the invitations and today, I got them in the mail! I love them!!

@@STBMrsPowell it sounds like you won't have a hard time achieving your ethereal vibe! I'm actually on my second coordinator since my first one moved to a different Palace Resort. So far, I've lucked out and both of them were quick to reply. My experience with my second coordinator was a bit rocky in that her response times started off slow but now she replies within 2 days. I know it can get frustrating but they work so many weddings and typically only get one day off. I'd say just be patient unless they're starting to completely ignore you. I've found that writing my email messages in point-form or numbered really helps. It is to the point and not too lengthy. Did you have your meet and greet phone call with your coordinator or just meet her via email?
