    @@jengak5 Congrats. I'm sorry to hear that your date isn't available. My wedding is on 4/17 at Las Mareas. There aren't many other options in that area. It's pretty secluded. Recreo is the only other resort close to the property. I think they have weddings on the beach in El Jobo or Rajada. If you want something inside, I don't think there is anything else close.

    My pictures would be AWFUL!!!!! LOL I'll have to talk to him and see what he thinks. We're not really into tradition so I'm hoping he'll be okay with it. And yes, it'll be great to spend cocktail hour with the guests. Usually that part is completely missed.

    I'm doing coral as well and will probably do a rose gold or silver. I'm not a big fan of gold. Ultimately I'll probably let my MOH decide what she thinks looks best.

    Our guests are averaging about $1500-$1800 depending on where they're flying from. Flights to Costa Rica seem to be on the high side unless flying out of New York. So I don't think it's too bad.

    Congrats @@Dportbride on your engagement. It may be awhile to hear back from some of the WC in Cabo due to the hurricane. There are several threads related to the cleanup and reconstruction effort for resorts in Cabo.     I like the idea of just using the BM bouquets. That seems very cost effective.

    I was debating this as well. I think I will still send out the invites because I didn't get any definite no's.

    Completely agree with @@TAkathy. Seems a bit high to me if they're asking you to also pay decorations. We're going to Guanacaste as well but in April and I'm just doing everything at the resort. I didn't "hire" a planner I'm just letting my TA and resort wedding coordinator work out the details for me.

    I can't give you "bride" experience but my friends recently got married at Cap Masion and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a place that I was considering but decided on Costa Rica.

    You can definitely wear a belt with that dress. You're probably just stressing. Try on some accessories when you head back for your alterations. You will look beautiful.

    Curious about this as well. Hair and Makeup is included in my package but I'm still concerned about the resorts ability to do this for me. So my backup plan is looking at outside vendors or I will just do it myself (like I always do).

    Definitely sounds like you're not consuming enough for what you're burning. Up your calorie intake and modify the intensity and activity that you do and you should see changes. But don't focus on the scale numbers focus on inches. Could be that you're gaining muscle. Good luck!

    My package includes hair and makeup. But I don't have much confidence they're know how to handle my hair or have makeup that complements my skin tone. So I'll likely end up doing both myself.
