    Depends on the deal you're able to work out with that photographer / videographer. You'll have to discuss those terms. Whether you pay for their flight and room and get a discounted package or they pay for their own travel expenses for the opportunity to shoot at a destination wedding. But most will expect you to pay at least a port of their travel costs.

    This is always the risk when you decide on doing a wedding outside... not just in Costa Rica. But glad they were able to set up a Plan B for her.

    Thank you again @@larapanget. Great review. I first considered MA but will end up on the far north end of Guanacaste. I don't want a beach wedding, just but I'll take the view. I hired JW as well. I can't see your pictures since I don't have enough post. I'll send you a DM. Hopefully you could email me your pictures, I'd love to see how they turned out.

    Ohh nice. I would love to see your pictures. Not sure if I can view on here yet but I'll look for your post. I know there are lots of weddings in Costa Rica but there aren't too many CR brides posting here.

    Thank you @@larapanget. I will keep this in mind. I was speaking with them regarding my wedding in April. I know that's a busy time as well and I don't want to end up in the same boat. If I know going in that it will take 7 months to receive that's one thing but they should give a reasonable timeframe.

    This is why there are tons of designers and tons of options out there. If strapless doesn't work for you then you don't have to wear it but they obviously work for some women. I personally do not care for lace but it works for another bride I wouldn't knock it.

    I called, sent texts, and email those that didn't respond after we sent the save the dates. I'm going to send them invites just in case since our wedding isn't until April. But I'm requesting an RSVP by end of January.

    Not doing it. If our families want us to have an AHR then I will simply tell them they'll have to host it.

    Congrats ladies! I booked at a new Dreams property and it's not opening until Nov 2014 as well. So I'm in the same boat as you with not having any idea how the wedding will be since it's not opened yet. But I'm sure everything will work out and be beautiful.

    I'm partial to AMResorts (Secrets, Dreams, etc.) Beautiful all-inclusive properties in the areas you're interested in. Secrets is Adults Only and Dreams is family oriented. There isn't a Dreams property in Jamaica but they are opening a new one St. Thomas in December.

    My wedding is a day before yours. I sent out my STD a few months ago and then plan to send the invites and thank you for booking in November. I'm requesting to RSVP by January as that's when the TA requested payment. That gives me time to plan for the number of guests.

    Thank you @@calgarybride2015 and @@MorganRene. I need to learn how to shop around for the best bargain. I usually just buy things as I see it and then get upset when I realize I could have gotten a better price.
