    I planning to make my RSVP date dec/jan for our April wedding. It more to just help me plan get all of our numbers straight. I understand it's around the holiday but I will be sending out emails and texts as a reminder.

    Welcome and congrats! I picked a new resort as well and I'm a little nervous but I'm confident that everything well turn out well. This resort looks wonderful!!! If you haven't already done so, I would recommend finding a travel agent to help you with planning. Good luck!!!

    I'm doing boarding pass invites with a passport "information" book. I'm going to cost a little over $5.00 per but I'm also planning to get upgraded paper. I thought about doing this myself but no that I don't have the time to make them they way I want and have them sent out in a timely manner.

    I'm trying to keep it as small as possible. FI is set on having 3 groomsman. I can see how it would be difficult to ask 1 and not the other two. But me.... I'm only having an MOH. I said I wasn't asking anyone else simply our guests were already spending enough to come down with us and I wanted them to just enjoy being there. (But this should be fun trying to figure out my entrances.)

    Your planning thread looks great. And I love your engagement story. LOL Sounds like my emotions the day before my FI proposed.

    It's your day and you should have it the way you want! You shouldn't feel obligated or pressured to host it. Just let them know up front that you are not hosting the reception and they should understand that. I'm not sure if you're sending invitations but if so, you can just omit the line that says "reception to follow." You can include a little card that says you're planning to have dinner at a particular restaurant if you know. Say something like a "cash dinner" (I don't know the right words.) But if you want to have anything maybe just provide a some cake and punch to celebrate with your family afterwards.

    We're paying for it ourselves. We're also paying for our parents to come as our gift to them. Like @@calgarybride2015, we never really considered to asking and I don't understand that tradition. But yes, it's customary that the brides family pays but I'm an only child too and my mom has paid double her share for me so that's my reason for gifting her a trip.

    I don't understand it either. Every site I've been on says they have to be shipped ground only. So I assumed I wouldn't be able to pack them in my suitcase for Costa Rica. I'll talk to a few of my TSA friends and try to find out. If not, I'll have to find another alternative.

    Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures @@flo628!!!! I wanted to do party poppers too but I thought they couldn't be sent via air (ground only). Did you purchase them once you got to your location?

    These are great ideas! I definitely think you can keep the same printed items; like the other ladies said just do a play on the hurricane for the new date. I know it was completely unplanned but April 2015 is a fabulous date!!

    How did I miss this thread?! Beautiful dresses ladies from the ones that I can see so far. I wish I would have found this thread when I was doing my dress shopping.

    Ohh wow! Hate to hear that your DW did come together like you planned but glad to hear you were able to still line up a date. You're still getting married regardless and that's really all that matters. London/Paris sounds like a wonderful honeymoon.
