  1. Congratulations! As many have said, a wedding, destination or not, can be as expensive or inexpensive as you make it. With about 15 guests, you can certainly keep the costs down. I've seen some resort wedding packages are inclusive of up to 30 guests! It's the additional per person charges that really add up. For example, the Now resorts packages range from $1000 to $3300 which include all you'll need for 15 guests! http://www.nowresorts.com/jade/weddings/packages
  2. Thanks for sharing everyone! I'm hoping that by splitting a few of our items amongst our close guests (our parents) that we'll be able to keep it to just 2 suitcases and our carry ons. I'll need to keep my eyes peeled on any sales on suitcases.
  3. Our groomsmen are wearing beige pants and white guayaberas which will be nice and breezy in the Caribbean sun!
  4. @@kellymiller, I have the same concerns. What dress did you end up choosing for your BMs?
  5. as I know my FI will love it and I love it enough for the both of us lol. Just wondering, what type of dresses did you ladies pick? Did you feel the pressure to pick a certain style or fabric? and if you did, what was the outcome? @, I totally know what you mean. But, as many have already said, it's YOUR wedding day and this is a once in a lifetime event... You and don't have to go by any "rules" and totally get to wear what you want! @@NJBride2014, GORGEOUS! So funny, I went in with the same mind frame - "a beach style wedding dress" but put on my lace mermaid dress and fell in love! And that was the one! Beautiful!
  6. Is there a Group USA near you? I went in this past weekend with my mom to look at mother of the bride dresses and saw that they offered lots of dresses at great prices, with many of them under $500.
  7. Hey girls, I've been considering a convertible dress for my BMs. Has anyone seen/felt the dresses in person? If so, what are some reviews? My concern is that the fabric looks super thin. Almost unforgiving. I definitely don't want my BMs to not feel comfortable in their dresses.
  8. Thanks for sharing everyone. I plan on bringing my dress on as a carry-on.
  9. I did see some dresses online that were far less expensive than the original. I opted not to go that route as I felt that it was too risky. I'm glad to hear that lots of brides had success!
  10. No definitely not over thinking. I'm like you, definitely want to make sure everyone is having a great time!
