    All of those templates are great so creative and definitely a money saver! Would you be able to post the PDFs as well some of the fonts I don't have on my computer and I would like to see the full finished product.

    Thank you I am going to pass I was looking for more of a hard plastic for transportation so I do not have to worry about them breaking.

    Planning is going good, I also plan on bringing a lot down with me. I completely agree that they nickel and dime you a lot. I hate the vendor fee at $300 it is ridiculous and on top of it you have to pay for a $90 day pass also per vendor. Honestly all that fee is, is a penalty for not using there vendors which is ridiculous since I am bringing there resort a lot of business. So I am trying to cut corners where I can by bringing chair sashes table runners, center pieces, bridesmaid bouquets, etc. How is your planning going?

    I have us booked for 12 days right now considering dropping it to 10 days we will see. We are coming in 3 days before the wedding to meet with the coordinator and just relax a little. Our total was around $6k for the 12 days and I definitely got sticker shock when she said that much. Especially because we went 2 years ago stayed 5 days and including airfare that was $2,400 for the both of us and this is $6k without airfare, but costs go up over time and hopefully we will get some of a discount depending on how many guests we have.

    Thank you that was helpful, for the DJ since there was a break in when you were using him did you have to pay for that time. So since you used him for the ceremony and then not for the cocktail hour and then again for the reception. How many hours did you end up paying for the DJ. I think it stinks that they don't have some kind of set up for the ceremony and wont operate a ipod dock or anything for you. I find that they try and get as much money out of you as possible during the process which is a shame.

    Congratulations! You will love Secrets we went a few years ago and knew it was where we wanted to get married when we got engaged! I love this resort because it is newer, you get the perks of both St. James and Wild Orchid (you can barely tell when you transition over from one side to the next). There are a ton of restaurant and bar options and no reservations which is nice (except for the hibachi restaurant). It really is a great resort! Congratulations! The Jerk Chicken is phenomenal, I would ask my fiance to get me a water bottle and he would come back with chicken instead when we were there!

    Interestingly though I did a lot of research on this and July seems to be the exception, it has one of the lowest rainfall percentages of the year for Jamaica. Has anyone been in July and can confirm this.

    Thank you for posting your pictures are gorgeous! Thank you for clearing up the lamp post lighting that they set up I was curious about this and if I had to pay extra fro that or get my own lighting. I also love the Swedish fish idea and it was interesting about being able to have your cake throughout the stay. For the DJ did they give you his contact information before hand we want to send him a playlist of requested songs before the wedding. Also we were just going to get the DJ for the reception, did they provide stereo equipment to play music when you walk down the aisle and have someone who presses the button to play. Also are you selling the fans by any chance?

    I second Southwest the only unfortunate thing is my TA said they are not doing direct flights internationally yet, I am not 100% on the validity of that though. Also I am not sure of the price point for Mexico flights but I know for Jamaica they are around $500 so $420 does not sound to unreasonable.

    I love Secrets in Monetgo Bay you get the perks of 2 resorts St. James and Wild Orchid they share everything pretty much. I went there 2 years ago and it made my choice easy.

    You are definitely not alone, My fiance and I are paying for the whole wedding ourselves without any help. I love my parents and I am very close with them but they are just not well off or fiscally responsible. I have paid for everything my whole life including college and even starting at 19 they have been borrowing money from me. My fiances family will not help at all and made the whole experience in the beginning a nightmare. His mom freaked out at us and said we were being selfish for have a DW. Now his stepdad is not going and not sure about his sister and brother since they are not sure they can save up, which hurts because they are supposed to be in the wedding. Its hard not to feel bitter that we have to pay for everything ourselves and I even have to pay for my parents to go but at the end of the day I am excited that I am going to have a beautiful wedding that is exactly what I want. Don't follow the norms or be forced into doing anything you don't want to do and dont let money ruin your big day.

    What did you use as electronic reminders for the wedding, We are still a while out a year and 4 months but we sent the mail save the dates out back in November. I wanted to give people as much time as possible to save up with hopes that they would make installment payments. I do not want them to forget though since I sent it so long before the wedding.
