@@racht33, I also extended my reception to 4 hours. Tell her that you want to cancel the cocktail hour and ask her what would the price be for the guests over 20. See what she says. That was a deciding factor for us .

@@danni I didn't. I had her and she typically responded within 3 days. Resend the email.

@@phdtck1 I plan to print out everything. Every bit of correspondence between myself and the resort and my travel agent. I am also going to write out some notes to have handy. I don't want any mess. @@smileitseb that is awesome! it all worked out. Happy for you. I can't wait to see your pictures. You are going to be one beautiful bride.

@@smileitseb amazon sells the fake candles and so does Target I think. Let me check for you,. @@smileitseb Target has the flameless votives for $9.99 for a dozen. Walmart has 48 for $28 amazon has 24 for $12.75 good luck hun

They are pretty quick. I can't attach the text from the email about the candles, but basically because I'm having my reception inside I can light my candles.

@smileitseb I am having lanterns at the wedding ceremony and was told that the candles inside couldn't be lit only in the ballroom, which is where we are having our reception.

@@pddcmc thank you. I am concerned that on the day before they will say that they don't have a room for him, since it's based on what is available. I'm seriously thinking of getting the speakers. We won't have a dj. My fiancé's friend who is a dj won't be able to make it and I can't bring myself to pay the resort $1000 for a dj for 3 hours. Thank you so much. Bubble wrap will be my friend. I am going to start wrapping stuff soon and bagging things that are definitely going and that I don't need. Thank you. I am sure I will have a million more questions later

Or did you use your sound system? Where did you get the sound system? We are considering using this as an option. Thank you.
