what decorations do you recommend? do we need chair sashes or table runners if we don't want all white? I was thinking maybe lanterns as well as candles for the tables.

I didn't even get to that part yet. I was still at the point of deciding what I wanted for dinner and such. I will be asking her soon, I also need more info about flowers because I want lots of them!

I finally got a response from Maria answering most of my questions. I want the private reception by the pool which was said to be $60 a person. We have 90 people so it adds up to be quite a bit but I still prefer it this way rather than having dinner and reception at different spots. And I was told I had to pick one main course for everyone so now this way everyone gets to choose from a variety set up. We chose the BBQ menu. I did ask her what the options are in case of rain, so waiting to hear back regarding that.

We have 90 guests so it's been very difficult trying to figure out what to put in OOT bags and budgeting it. With this many people I threw out the idea of towels and flip flops immediately. so now this is what I have: - the bag itself (we personally customized our own on vistaprint.ca) - sudoku puzzle book (dollar store) - playing cards (dollar store) - a set of cute candles as our "favours" (littlethingsfavors.com) - sunglasses (e-bay) - fans (littlethingsfavors.com) - postcards (ordered from vistaprint also) - customized suntan lotion bottles (bought hand sanitizer from dollar store, emptied them and put our own stickers (from vistaprint) on them) - beachballs or paddle ball for kids (have to decide) I hope they all turn out okay. I wanted to put more but had to cut down on a lot of ideas unfortunately due to the number of guests we have. I may still add last minute things such as wipes or something...

October 30th, looks like are dates are close together. I think I will call them this week. It's stressing me out that I can't continue with planning details. Anyone else have this problem before?

I have less than 3 months to go and my emails are being responded to extremely slowly (once every few weeks). I have yet to discuss any details with them, I confirmed my date long time ago but since then there has been little communication! should I worry or this is normal?

We are staying at Coba. Our ceremony to be held at the gazebo. It doesn't make sense to have to pay for children as much especially for infants (we have a few). I think we are leaning towards the theme night just to be able to get a bigger selection since with 80 people we would have to have a one main course set menu. Do they always offer alternatives if it ends up raining? Thanks for your quick replies.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing all this information. We have ourselves and our guests booked for October 30th wedding. We have 80+ guests, and with less than 3 months ago I am still confused about how the private theme nights work and costs work though. I was hoping to either have a private restaurant dinner/reception or go for the BBQ Dinner Theme night. How do the costs work for these? do we pay per person including children? (in our case 80 people) As some others mentioned on here, I'm also worried about the flow of the entire day as I don't want all of our guest going from one location to another every 2 hours. I also saw on their package info the resort sent me that the theme nights include a "domestic bar", does anyone know what this entails? I appreciate your help in clearing this up for me.
