  1. I like that. I think I would like for my oldest brother to marry us. He is actually doing it for one of his friends at the end of August... so we will see how he likes his experience.
  2. @@Maggietron Yes I think if they have all the same colour it looks nice and they can be comfy. I actually want to get a convertible dress for myself!
  3. This is one of the pictures. I don't know how to post the actual picture yet... still working on it. but I think you will able to open the link http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a407/lily_1202/image1_zps0cfd0bdf.jpeg
  4. @@Maggietron That is a dilemna I am dealing with as well. My bm are all far away from each other and range in age and size. When my sister got married she bought material and all 7 of us had them made which ever style we wanted, the only rule was a knee length dress. It looked really nice and everyone was comfortable. We had a seamstress that was pretty good and affordable.
  5. I agree with the other ladies here. Even if you beg and she caves in she might ruin the entire thing. You tried everything you could already the ball is in her camp now. If you your FI feels like he wants to try again, then he should, but i'm a firm believer that each spouse should deal with their own families... try to minimize the drama, although it is not always easy to do.
  6. @@MJTK not much you can do... but it sure is stupid. Why would she charge you in USD? Unless I'm missing something here.
  7. I like that, the daughter in a lighter shade. where did you get their dresses?
  8. Awesome... When it doubt go with sparkles!!!!! Great deal and post pics please!
  9. Traditions have changed a lot when it comes to who marries you. Neither of us want a religious ceremony, and we both like the thought of someone dear to us marrying us. I was just wondering who will be performing your wedding ceremony?
  10. I really like these labels for mini liquor bottles. My fiance thinks all our guests are lushes and it won`t really be a favor they will keep lol. But I still want to get them. https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/91061832/custom-mini-liquor-bottle-labels-wedding?ref=favs_view_4 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/166938604/custom-jack-daniels-mini-bottle-labels?ref=listing-shop-header-3
  11. @@Sophiaone95 You should definitely do what makes you happy. If you ever start feeling guilty or feel like you will cave, post something here and one of us will kick your butt right back on the Mexico route again
  12. Oh thank you!!! I was trying to figure it out My fiance lost his mother last November, and she had left a ring for him to give of woman he would choose to marry. He proposed using that ring saying that if I wanted i could get a diamond ring for our wedding. But this ring means so much to both of us, I am thinking of just having a custom made wedding band to fit with it.. still not sure about what to do. http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a407/lily_1202/394_zps01c9a573.jpg OH well i almost got it! I think the link works, but it's still not the actual picture.

  14. I was just about to mention the US account. Last time I was at the CIBC bank, they suggested I open an US personal account. My fiance is American so I travel quite often. Their suggestion is that when the exchange rate is good you can transfer money in that account and your CAD becomes USD. So I guess it depends how far away your wedding is, and if the timing is right with the exchange rate. The only fee was $0,75 per withdrawal or transfer. It seems like it could a good option.
  15. What about an April wedding? I would like a late afternoon ceremony. Do you think the weather would be ok?
  16. @@VegasBride121314 Oh wow those are cool. Screw the bridesmaid i want one in each color lol! Thank you for the tip
  17. I have been a bridesmaid twice and MOH once, and I have always done a lot for the bride and to make sure she feels at ease and do everything I can to be supportive, even if I sometimes did not understand or think the marriage was the best choice. My thinking is It's not my life it's hers. And it does get frustrating when you don't get the same thing in return. Even things that should be the fun stuff like shopping for dresses turns into a guilt trip because I'll be moving away... Ugh i'm hormonal too and need to rant! But bottom line is we shouldn't let others ignorance, or lack of support affect our happiness!! The End
  18. Looking to see if anyone has experience with my issue. I will most likely have 3 to 4 bridesmaids, my sister (38) (if she comes... which is another issue completely) my niece (18) sister in law (32) a friend (37) and as a junior bridesmaid I would like to have my step daughter (10). They obviously have different styles and are quite different in shape, what will suit my 18 year old niece that has the body of a model, might not do so well with the other bridesmaids. For my sisters wedding she ordered materiel and we all had them made. Any style was fine as long as they were knee length, the result was nice, I just found it to be a hassle running around and making sure everything was ok. I also want to save on cost, so have any of you done this, I'm looking for a website that will offer different models in the same color and material. I was thinking a turquoise or hot pink for the color of their dresses. Still undecided. Thanks!
  19. I want to save as much as possible on my dress. I love deals! and told my fiance my dress would probably cost less than his suit. He didn't believe so I want to prove him wrong. Looking at a dress I love from babyonline. But I need to go try some dresses on before I make a decision.
  20. @@linaco80 You and me both... I'm trying to post as much as I can. So many things I want to see lol. I get that way too it's like there`s so many ideas in my head but everything is a mess of ideas. I really need to sit down and make lists. Lists are usually my savior. Well that and wine!
  21. Maybe it's just me but shoes are one of the first things I notice. I'm a shoe person Unfortunately I can't see your flip flops @@calgarybride2015 because I don't have enough posts. But if you keep doubting it might be for a reason... sometimes you can find fancy looking flip flops at a reasonable price. I just think if you keep doubting something it might be something you look at in your pictures and regret. Just something to think about! Good luck
  22. Ugh moving... as if wedding planning isn't stressful enough. I completely understand, in addition to getting married I must apply for my fiance visa. I'm Canadian and my fiance is American. Dealing with the stress of going through the process plus moving my life from one country to another is enough to make me want to pull out my hair! And to top it off once I enter the USA with my visa we have 90 days to get married!!! Therefore it is very difficult to predict when I will actually have my visa, so choosing an exact wedding date is practically impossible until I know for sure that my visa is ready! I'm hoping I can move in February and get married in April which is the off season for tourism in Florida where we plan to get married on the beach... crossing my fingers everything goes to plan. This weekend reality hit me and I kind of went into freak out mode! I'm just hoping I do not become a bridezilla In the meantime... Wine helps! Cheers!
  23. Oh wow love the dress. It looks like one i have been looking at from babyonline. Can you give me the brand of your dress if you know it. Thank you
  24. sorry you're going through all this... that really sucks. In the end just remember that this is YOUR DAY! Your sister probably had hers, and now she should respect what you want. And you need to believe that, it's the only way to get through something like this. If your fiance and you want to get married in Mexico. Do it!!!! Your family has a choice to be there or not... But they will be missing out on it. Do what makes you happy and Stay strong.
