  1. @@linaco80 Yeah Guess has nice flip flops, but I'm only 5 feet tall so I need the height!!!
  2. Still in discussion for us but I think we are pretty set on no BM and MOH, our fathers will be our witnesses. Right now he wants 6 groomsmen (secretly hoping some of them will say no lol) As for bridesmaids I am not sure my sister will be coming to the wedding (long story) but if she does come I'd ask her. My 18 yr old niece, my future SIL, possibly his half-sister, and maybe my brothers gf, she's a sweety pie. Also his 10 year old daughter as junior bridesmaid... Bottom line is I don't know yet lol. All I know is I want to ask them at Christmas time. I am thinking about getting Will you be my bridesmaid wine glasses. Etsy has really nice ones.
  3. Anyone hear anything about bridalpure? They keep popping up on my facebook, and seem to have nice dresses. Can't seem to find reviews.
  4. I was thinking the same. I saw one on babyonline and I absolutely love it. I keep going back to it. But I want to try some on just to see if the style suits me. It's a bit nerve racking ordering a dress I've never tried on, but worst case i'll try selling it and it's really cheap so it's not the end of the world.
  5. ooops didn't see that! anyways extra posts
  6. @@linaco80 Same for me I would never spend so much money on shoes. I have looked online for bridal wedges. but I find they often look like granny shoes. I tried on a pair of MK yesterday, they were nice but not sure about the color they were very silver and they were $150 still over budget. In 3 weeks I'm going to try on dresses and the stores are surrounded with bridal stores so I might check out the shoes there. Maybe find something on sale Are you planning on wearing a long dress? I thought about the flip flops for the ceremony and then heels, but how do you hem the dress?

That is a really good price compared to other websites. Did you check arts and craft stores? You never know.
  8. @@becassidy I'm sorry you are going through this. I guess the only piece of advice I have to give you is listen to that gut feeling you have. There is a difference between wedding jitters and doubting the person you are marrying. I for one could not stay with someone that I can't trust. Love and passion come and go but trust and respect is what makes things work in the long run. I have seen so many women settle when what they should have done is walk away. People don't change, us woman like to convince ourselves that a man can love us enough to change... but sadly it is not the case. If a man lies to you, he doesn't care about you enough. Harsh maybe but it's the truth. Don't be afraid to follow what your heart tells you. You will avoid future heartache. Hope you figure this out. Good luck.

@@MJTK can you show me what the fans look like please?
  10. OMG what a tragedy. So sad. I don't know what I would do... I'm trying to imagine how she must feel and how she would react if you went.. but I honestly don't know it's too sad to even imagine. You know her best I guess you're the only one that can figure it out. very sad
  11. @081114ovcuba Yay for the wedding being so close but boooo for packing! I absolutely hate packing for regular trips, so I can't even imagine packing for my wedding. This site is awesome so many ideas and hearing about people going through the same thing! Let us all know how the wedding goes and post pictures!
  12. OH cool! soon I will see those pictures!!! so close but yet so far.
  13. lol @@Icis did you wear it for your ceremony? (making convo here) But I really do want to know lol
  14. It's what I want to avoid... I only have one father. If we both decide our fathers will sign no one can be hurt and everyone will feel like they mean a lot to me and he feels the same about his groomsmen so I think this is a good plan for us.
  15. @@MissJen3 you feel that way because it's not you. And that's ok. Actually a really long piece of tulle attached to your hair could look like a veil in pictures and be pretty cheap. This is a great idea actually. Thank your mom for me
  16. @@MissJen3 Yes I understand... I have long thick hair and it is one of the things my fiance loves about me. I'm pretty sure I know what he would like my hair to look like and I'm not sure a veil would go with that style. But I do love the pictures with the long veils surrounding the couple. So maybe i'll try to find a 'cheap one' if it exists, just for our pictures.
  17. Yeah I don't think a veil would make me feel like more of a bride tbh. But i'm sure for some brides it makes a difference. @@MissJen3 we are almost there.... feel free to explain in depth how the veil made you feel, or not feel actually lol
  18. @@MissJen3 Even at work sometimes I just look at it and smile... my boss is always laughing at me lol. I think the biggest OMG moment for us will be when all the craziness of the wedding has passed. On our wedding day we will only have been living together for a few weeks and will have been going crazy with wedding planning and last minute things. Therefore I think one of the moments I am most looking forward to is the first morning we wake up and have a normal husband and wife routine. After almost 2 years of traveling back and forth that moment will truly be THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!
  19. @@beckys98 aww it's nice to find a way to make him feel like he's apart of your special day.
  20. Beautiful @@calgarybride2015 I can't wait to make my decision and purchase mine. It must be a great feeling!!! I want to see all of the dresses!! I'm almost there!
  21. @@calgarybride2015 your post brought tears to my eyes! I have Omg moments all the time. I got engaged exactly a month ago today and to this day the first thing I do in the morning is look at my left hand. I honestly never thought I could be this happy. I have spent the last 10 years of my life (and I'm only 30, so it`s a big part of my life) taking care of others and helping them go through tough times, always putting myself second. When I'm with my fiance I feel like I don't have to carry any weight on my own. We share our joys and struggles. We are in a long distance relationship and although it has it's struggles I have never been this happy. So many exciting things in our near future and a lot more OMG moments to come!!
  22. @@helenk Ughhh families! Gotta love them but they can drive you crazy! I guess you could ask your mom if she would be hurt if you went with your friend? Or just don't tell her? But then what if you find your dress? Ugh idk you're right females and their feelings lol!! Just do what feels right I guess. Good luck!
