Ya I am not sure either! 11 may be more reasonable than 12 lol! but.. besides you - people may not even want to change. Depending on what they are wearing. You could play by ear. I don't think pay $900 an hour for alcohol is worth it to me but I think I am going to just bit the bullet. Let's just say - I will get all of the guests still there drinking lol

@@racht33 your ta doesn't have the contract with Karisma so they cannot book it? Hmm... Weird. to be honest I am not getting one single perk and I am still choosing the resort. I am assuming that you are in the US though so it would be more expensive for you with the package and everything. @@ashhtayy I don't think it is crazy at all to ask guests to book a year in advance. I did - actually like a year and 2 months. it gives them time to save up and book the holidays/get babysitters etc.

Question About Planning Threads
Smellsey replied to diadiamond's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
I think I am going to start mine soon. My best friend is getting married in September and I am her maid of honor so I find it hard to plan things when she hasn't done stuff yet but I just have to remind myself that EVERY person is different -
Boating Excursion - Hot To Decide
Smellsey replied to Smellsey's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Well they are all booking on their own, 2 of those people I don't even know if they will stay at our resort. I have been hounding them since September and (since it is all my fi's guests) I told my Fiance, I don't even want to count them in the numbers until they tell me something is settled. I don't know what they are waiting for and it is irritating. My fiancé's mom told me to call them and tell them I need to know by August 1st or something just to make them make a move. I think that is what I am going to do. I don't want to make assumptions and look like an ass. I have tried to negotiate with Samba and they are the best price by far. I really hope I only have 60 people who want to come and then I wouldn't even be debating this lol. yes please tell me all about it when you return!! My elderly/children wouldn't come whether it was on a yacht or a boat so really it is about the price. I prefer a catamaran but I am not set on it.- 8 replies

Boating Excursion - Hot To Decide
Smellsey replied to Smellsey's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
@@be1122 yes.. I would have to go with a different company though because Samba does only 4 hours. It just seems such a shame to do less hours for the same price as a 7 hour one. These all include open bar and lunch with I loved about it. I just think my guests are traveling so far that I want to do this for them. I am so so so torn though. That may be the way that I have to go.- 8 replies

Hi brides!! I am trying to determine what to do about my excursion. We have decided not to do OOT Bags and do a boat/catamaran excursion for everybody. Presently we have 55 adults, 2 kids under the age of 2 and 4 kids over the age of 2 -12 attending. So 63 total bodies. Plus about 8 more people that tell us "they are coming" so that would put us at 71 people. I went to a bunch of different places and received quotes for all. I was trying to choose between Samba Catamarans and H20 Cruise boat. Both were similar prices but the Samba is 7 hours for 60 people at $2750 plus $10 pp docking fee and I thought 7 hours would be so perfect. This was before I was counting in the 8 other people who say they are coming.. So I figured ok, 63 people are booked to come but out of those I have my FI's grandfather who won't want to come, an aunt who won't want to come, an grandma who won't want to come, plus 2 babies under the age of 2 who I am assuming wouldn't want to bring their babies out on so then I took 7 people off that list and thought a 60 person boat would be perfect. Then if I am mistaken about a couple I have a little room and if not, then we are more space. Well now these 8 people are telling "We are coming, we are for sure coming." So I went back to Samba for a price and the next size up boat is for 90 people and the price is almost DOUBLE. So instead of $3950 I am looking at over $7000! Now that is insane.. that is more than my trip for 2 weeks! So I went back to H20 and the price is $4402 for 71 people but that is only 4 hours and I really wanted a catamaran. I have no clue what to do. We are getting married January 7th so I wanted the catamaran to be on January 9th. My FI's father said I should just book the 60 person one and then the day before we will figure out who doesn't get to go but I don't really think that is fair and neither does my FI. If all of those people that I said I don't "think" will go, end up wanting to go then I really am screwing over 10 people. What do you all think?.. my topic is supposed to say "how" lol.. must be a long day for me haha

We are buying a catamaran for everyone. I have reached out to several vendors and received quotes on a bunch if you want me to send you the document I made. We are paying for everyone but this is our thank/welcome gift. I think it is fair if you do not want to or can't afford to pay. I would suggest perhaps they pay for their trip - but you can pay for the open bar/food portion? sometimes the trip can be like $40 a person and then the food is $15 pp
-
We have 63 people so that might make a difference in price. We are buying everyone a 7 hour catamaran for $3500 so that is where a huge chunk is going. I am going to buy the sunglasses at logolenses for the wedding favour. I am going to put them on the place settings with a little note about the trip - some cute saying - I haven't decided yet. I would love to do the bags though.. Superstore wholesale - I don't think they have one in WPG either but it sounds awesome!!!
-
Wow only $350 on your oot bags? Good job! I am trying to decide if I am going to do them and I keep budgeting like $1000 and I just don't have the money to spend on them. if they were even $400 I could afford that though! I may be pushing that to the fall to see what I can really afford. I love them though!!!

@@kimmyd2 congrats on choosing!! I swear I personally thought that was the hardest part lol. I haven't been doing a ton. I am stuck between 2 wedding dresses. I have given myself until this Saturday to decide - I have been thinking about them for like a month now lol! I also went and bought some silk flowers from Michaels that were 50 percent off. So pumped!! How about anyone else? I have been emailing Katy from Lace and Love as well and I have it narrowed down to a catamaran that we are going to get everyone

I am having my best friend since I was little and my sister and my FI's sister. My Fiance has his brother in law, his best friend since he was little and his cousin. I think you should do whatever feels best for you. That is the beauty of a DW!!!

I am going to buy my dress next week... I have 2 choices and I gave myself the deadline of March 21st to make a choice. Was anyone else stuck on 2 and could not decide? They are both Maggie Sottero and are at the same bridal salon so that is nice. I cannot WAIT to have that detail planned out ha

Ya I am going to see her tomorrow so I will be bringing up a couple things. It doesn't hurt to ask right!! Congrats though!! I transferred some money into my US account last week because my financial advisor figured the dollar would go down even more - 12,500 CDN was like $9,000 US. How annoying! So if I get can free stuff - I will try! lol
