    Yeah I'm ok with it now, but originally he wanted to just be in board shorts, I drew the line at that, my dress is pretty fancy so a shirt was required!! I agree with other posters let him wear what he wants (within reason) if your both comfortable, you'll both be happier!

    I am getting the divine package as well, and I am bringing my own photographer as a guest. I'm up in the air about centerpieces still, I am thinking we are only going to have 20-25 people so paying the resort for centerpieces for 2-3 tables does not seem like that as big of an issue, I may still DIY though, I am just worried about glass breaking in transit!!

    Does anyone who has had there wedding already know what kind of makeup the salon uses? Shoulda I bring my own, or do they have high quality makeup?

    I am wondering about the same thing. I definitely want barefoot sandals for the ceremony, but the reception is not on the beach and I wanted to switch to heels, however if I get my dress hemmed for me to be barefoot, how will that look, and if I hem it for heels won't it be too long during the ceremony?

    I'm slightly jealous of all of you who have gotten the guys into even linen pants. I have worked my way up to black pinstriped board shorts with a belt and a long sleeve button down shirt, and it was a fight to get to that point. I read this last night and suggested a vest, and he was like just a vest? So ridiculous!

    Thank you, I was super worried about this as when I googled some places said I would be fine, and other places said that the bigger prong will not fit in the Dominican as they only use 2 of the smaller prong!

    Yeah Hopefully we can do kids meals or the snack bar will probably be it. My niece was adopted from the Congo, and for some reason she is extremely picky about the food she will eat. That's my main concern!

    We will be traveling to punta cana for our wedding in Oct. Of 2015. We will be staying at Now Larimar, do we need a captors to charge cell phones/tablets, etc. I would hate to bring an iPod for reception music and not be able to use it because we cannot charge it! Does anyone know what to do?

    I'm curious about changes as well, we want to do a buffet, but we have children coming. Does anyone know if you can order kids meals even if you are doing a Buffett? Or maybe swap something out for a kid friendly item like hot dogs?

    I agree with all of you, pick the dress you love, not what people think you should wear! Everyone showed me typical DW wedding dresses and they were so not me! I wanted ruffles and a dro waist! I ended up with a gorgeous dress that I love that I am slightly terrified about dragging a mountain of sand behind me, but whatever.     That's what I'm thinking as well, and we are also going to do a first look to get some pictures in then! If I'm timing it out correctly, I should be able to take pics for about an hour, and still attend part of the cocktail hour. Although taking pics for an entire hour will possibly be you long for my FH, especially after the first look!

    Yeah, if you are having a longer wedding that makes sense, our ceremony is only going to be 15-20 minutes, then Depending on whether they start the cocktail hour immediately or if they delay it till six, I will probably take pictures in the free time and during part of the cocktail hour. I would get married earlier, but I do not want our guests to have to come to the wedding, and then entertain themselves for a few hours before the cocktail hour/dinner.

    I officially booked my wedding finally as well! Oct. 22nd 2015. I've asked for a beach wedding and a reception at the quiet pool. I think that we are going to do 5 pm for the wedding with the reception at 7. We did the divine package. I am also bringing my photographer as a guest in order to bypass the 500 dollar fee. Does anyone know if you still get the pictures/video in your package even if IOU bring your own photographer?

    I will bring mine home when it gets super close, if anything happens I guess I will be stuck wearning a sundress or getting a new sample dress and getting it altered. I fit almost perfectly into most samples so hopefully in an emergency it will all work out!

    The parasols look like a fun idea, but with doing out of town bags and our own centerpieces, there is only so much luggage we can check!

    I agree completely about the cost of the decorations, definitely planning on DIY my centerpieces and just checking them and hoping for the best!

    Yeah, I definitely think that where you are flying out of matters, however I would keep an eye on southwest. They are just starting to fly there so once they open up flights in May I bet their prices will be super competitive, plus you get two bags free. Even if we find cheaper flights we will probably just stick with southwest, as we love their customer service and free checked bags, when taking two bags that saves about 100 a person!

    Yeah, it helps that I only have one brother and he only has one sister. We wanted super small and intimiate as I get kinda shy when all the attention is on me. We kept it as immediate family and close friends. I am going to go ahead and send out invitations anyways, but we already will know who is coming as we set up a group package and got a great rate for anyone who pays their hundred dollar deposit soon!!

    @@KAT2015 and @@DR2015 I know they are so expensive, Kat we are thinking of doing the same, bowl with beads water and floating candles, and just packing them since we will most likely fly southwest. DR2015, if I needed that many centerpieces I would probably just pay for them as well, we only invited 35 though so I'm thinking 3-4 tables/centerpieces

    This is such a fun idea, a friend of mine invired mickey and minnie and recieved a card back from them! I am definitely going to do this, but who to invite?
