@kamelia054 Take EVERYTHING with you. My wedding Coordinator told me not to ship anything to the resort. She stated that a lot of things get held up in customs and the brides never see them. I had some family members pick up luggage at different yard sales so that I could just trash them once I was down there since I don't plan on bringing much home with me. Hope this helps! Hi everyone!! I wanted to do my welcome dinner on a Friday since that is when most people are coming to the resort. However they couldn't accommodate that time. I have welcome bags I wanted to hand out to everyone so I was thinking of having everyone meet for drinks. Just wanted an opinion, should I do a day time meet around 3pm for a quick drink or later in the night like 5 or 6pm? Everyone comes in by 1pm. Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated :0 @MrsHK Do you by any chance have a screen and projector to play a short video during the reception? Also, I plan on leaving everything down there once I am done with the wedding. So anything you want is yours. I will post some photos in a few weeks. My wedding is November 16th

My WC told me I was not able to have a rehearsal at the resort. How do I get her to let me have one? Also, how long is in onsite meeting with the WC? Are you able to request a time for this? I saw that it is generally the day after your arrive, but I would prefer the day we do arrive since our guests are arriving the next morning. Did you have charger plates at your wedding? Are they necessary? Never thought of them until this feed.

Hi again!! Do you guys think a cocktail hour is really necessary? I am thinking about taking the money that I was spending on the cocktail hour and using it to upgrade my videographer to a full day instead of a a half day. Considering half of my guests will be needed for photos and I still have to pay per person I feel like it may be a waste. I was thinking of maybe having everyone go to the beach bar, lobby bar or they can go freshen up. My wedding is at 4 (will end at 4:30) and my reception can't start until 6. Please let me know your thoughts.

@calgarybride2015 Yes I got the groupon. Paid $27 for a $70 giftcard. However after purchasing I realized that you can't combine with any vistaprint coupon codes. I still feel like I got a decent deal though. I ordered 50 of the menus for our reception and 250 of the WedPics business cards. I wound up spending another $7. So $34 total for everything which isn't too bad.

@calgarybride2015 You actually can't customize the background colors from what I can see on VistaPrint. My wedding colors happen to be aqua and purple. You can customize the font though. Yes WedPics prices for their cards was outrageous. If you go on their site you can actually download a copy of your cards. Here is how: log in to your wedpics account on the left hand column click on order app cards/props from there click "print your own" You can change the colors on the screen. Change the colors first to the ones you want. click download front, it will download to your computer and you can save it as an image. do the same thing for the backside. log into your vista print account, and you can upload these photos for the business card by selecting upload a design. Hope this helped

As promised I wanted to keep posing as I work on things. I am still deciding what excursion we want to do on Saturday, so that isn't finished yet. Otherwise my wedding pre-travel brochure is ready to go. I also made business cards of my Wedpics site. I will send these with the pre-travel brochure, again with the welcome bags, and will have them available at my wedding shower. I want all my guests to be able to utilize the site.

@@SoontobeMrsP2014 I heard many wonderful things about her associates. You will not be let down. I can't believer we have the same date!! Too funny. What time do you get married? We are getting married at 4pm at Gazebo 55 and then our reception is at Tucanes Bar. And I wish I could switch I heard great things about Claudia. It took a month (LITERALLY) for my WC to confirm my hair and makeup appointments.

@@tygrrlily I am printing a welcome brochure with all information for guests and will be mailing that in advance with a luggage tag for them to use. The Meet The Guests Page will be on a flyer style form and I will include with the welcome bags for our guests. At least that is my plan for now. 80 Days until the wedding!! I got a groupon for vistaprint...paid $27 for $70 gift certificate so I will be using them for all of my printwork

Hello All!! I have seen MANY different ideas using Vistaprint. I purchased my wedding totes on there (Team Bride and Team Groom). I am now starting to make my Meet The Guests, Welcome Brochures, and Luggage Tags. Just wanted to share some of the items I am doing. And get a little help along the way. Thank you I am starting with my meet the guests document. I am including a photo and description of how the guests are related or know the bride and groom. On the back I have a list of whose rooming with who and a space so my guests can write in important information (room numbers and phone numbers).

I am glad I read this because I was thinking about doing petals too. Maybe I will just leave the isle empty. -
Aisle Runner on the Beach
NickiLynn1116 replied to heartbeat's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I have read that the aisle runners tend to get sandy and not photograph well. I orginially wanted one until I started reading this board.
