We have been buying old suitcases at Flea Markets and such. This way we only have to fly with them one way and we can throw them in the trash when we are done. We are each packing one suitcase for our clothes (2) 1 Suitcase with our centerpieces 1 Suitcase with our waterbottles 1 Suitcase for the rest of our welcome bags 1 Suitcase with gifts for bridal party and family members We are asking that our family members all help us out with taking luggage.

@@HancockBride My WC told me that I could have sparklers but only immediately after the wedding ceremony. She said I couldn't use them as a sendoff. They also charge $7 per sparkler

@@nadiakat17 Who are you using? I have to use Lomas because I am getting married at El Dorado Royale. I feel the same way about them. They nickle and dime for everything. I have gotten them to bend on some items. For example I am doing chairs with covers and bows at the reception AND the ceremony. They normally charrge $8 a chair but they are charging me $6 a chair. They are charging me for items I am bringing which I do find rather ridiculous.

Hello! I want to do something special for my mom and play a short video with a song and some music instead of a father daughter dance. To rent the equipment from LOMAS I would have to pay $650 for 2 hours and I only need it for one song. Any suggestions of another way I can play the video without having to rent that? Thank you

My dad passed away a few years back so I bought two little frames and put his photo in them. I am wearing them on the backs of my sandals so he can "walk me down the isle". Also, since I won't have a father daughter dance and my mom feels funny dancing with me at the wedding I am going to make a video collage of me and my mom to Carrie Underwood's a song for mama and play that for my mom.

Hi everyone! This thread is wonderful. I have 5 bridesmaids I got them all a coach beach bag/tote, making their flip flops and got hand painted wine glasses of each girl off of etsy to drink out of at the wedding. I also got the mob and the mog a wine glass so far. What is everyones opinions on getting ready robes or outfits? Are they worth it? What is everyone doing for mob and mog? I want to do something extra special for my mom but dont know what. And I wanted to get his mom another small gift from me. Also my maid of honor aka my sister paid for my honeymoon as a wedding gift so I am so grateful and want to do something extra for her and her hubby. Any ideas on that???? One more! Is anyone doing groom gifts? Do I get my hubby something special too?

@@AllieH I LOVE your cake topper. I ordered mine from her as well. Did you have trouble getting it there? I am so nervous because it is so fragile. I am doing cupcakes as well. Did they provide you with a cupcake tier? If not what did you do with the cupcakes? Did you get one per guest? @@AllieH do you still have the music spreadsheet? I would love to use that. Does the DJ give you a list of songs to choose from or do you just pick whatever you want? What if you choose a song they don't have, can they get it? @@AllieH How was the weather in November? Was it hot at Tucanes? I am having the floating pool lights, I love those. I didn't think of Tiki Torches I should look into them. I was going to get poles wrapped in Christmas lights, but it's an extra $300 so was wondering if it was really worth it. My WC told me she didn't know if I could get ready with my wedding party since I am staying on the Casitas side. I originally had Styling Trio booked and I was very excited, but the resort wanted to charge me $800 to use them. We have 5 bridesmaids and 4 other family members plus myself who all need to get hair and makeup done. I

@@lynie First off CONGRATULATIONS! I get married there on November 16th of this year. I feel like everything has been so unorganized with my wedding coordinator (Marisol). I have been getting most of my information from these boards. Is there anything that you can think of to do prior to make things run smoother? I have a trial for hair and makeup and I am also bringing my own bouquets (silk flowers). However, I have been waiting over a month for Marisol to confirm the hair and makeup appointments for myself and my wedding party. I am having my reception at Tucanes as well. What did you do for decorations? How is the lighting there? Sorry for all the questions just the closer it gets the more nervous I get

@@HancockBride We will be distributing our during our welcome dinner. The guests are mostly arriving Friday and that Is when our dinner is. My WC said that the guests wouldn't get the bags right when they checked in. They would get them after 7pm the night they arrived. I am going to mail our guests an itinerary 2 weeks before as well

@@lauralane I didn't do the memorable moments route because it is pretty pricey. We are adding the chair covers and bows for the chairs ($6 a chair) and we are bringing our own centerpieces (charging $15 a table). I decided to keep the white napkins and white table cloths. Any flowers you use in your ceremony can also be brought over to your reception area free of charge. However, if you do chairs with covers and bows they charge you to have at the ceremony and again for the reception. Hope this helps
