  1. @@jennifernoel1 yes they do. I spoke to elite media yesterday they seem great if I don't fly someone in I'll probably go with them. It's $100 for wedding planners or band members to come on to the property I believe. And for video and photographers it's one night stay. Since my guys will be staying the whole weekend I should be fine
  2. What if you did a semi private dinner (FREE) And rented the disco for after dinner reception? We meet with photographer here this week my fiance prefers someone we know (I don't know why he thinks he should have an opinion. ..Lol)
  3. Hi everyone!!! Thanks @@helenk for telling me about this thread. My date is August 8, 2015!!!!! That's all I got. I'm having a bridal reveal party in 3 weeks I'll hand out a few of my save the dates and will have them all mailed by the first week in August. Heads up just from reading the other threads the coordinators are usually slow to get back to you so don't stressed out. Loreto is pretty good but he's the manager for the WCs . I'm still working on booking a photographer and video. Really considering bringing a team from here. Flowers I'm either going to make my own or work with an outside vendor. The florist the hotel works with seems pretty pricey. I know the contract states we can't use an outside florist but I've read where previous brides have with no problem (unless this is a new rule) Dj I'm going to go with resort Reception I'm hoping to have a private one but that depends on the guests count (I only like calabash or aunt Ruby's....70 Or more ppl) Hosting a welcome party with a fire dance the night before If I have to have a semi private reception then we'll do dancing and cocktails with a dj on the beach. Coral and teal are pretty colors you can incorporate them in many ways....tie chairs, flowers for the ceremony, you can bring candles, vases or water beads
  4. @@helenk I didn't know they had a 2015 thread thanks...Lol! I have read that in my contract but I've read that other brides did use an outside florist (unless they changed the rules)
  5. Hey Brides! So I've read about Geofry Guy who's a local florist on another thread. Has anyone else heard or using him? I'm an event planner at home and I considered doing the centerpieces myself but don't want to deal with the headache of transporting
  6. I've been reading that Misha is pretty good also i would try Christopher Lee if i'm not mistaking he used to be a resort photographer. I follow him on FB he doesn't have a website but i have read good things about him. He's young energetic and appears pretty passionate about what he does. Cocktail hour-a friend of mine got married last year at an all inclusive resort and lost some of her guests between the ceremony and dinner because they went to the bar to get drinks (something to consider).
  7. Hi All, I'm a newbie. I've always wanted to have a destination wedding so i have been following this site for a while now. I am officially an Iberostar Suites bride. My wedding date is Sat August 08, 2015. That's about all. I'm waiting to hear back from the resort to find out group rates. So far this what i have in mind for my weekend Friday night welcome party on the beach with entertainment Sat: Ceremony- 5pm Cocktail hour - 5:30-6:30 (food, drinks and steel drums) Reception-6:30-9:30- Either rent out one of the restaurants if i have at least 70guests OR have a semi private dinner and dancing and cocktails to follow on the beach Sunday- I'm going to arrange an optional excursion I'm having a bridal reveal party next month. There I will reveal my bridal party and give out traveling info. For those further along in planning please share pricing info or any suggestions if you don't mind.
