My fiancé and I were just in Moores last night and I noticed that they have a large selection of bow ties. They were even offering to order some for us if we wanted. Do you have a Moores close that you could check?

I am sorry that your mom is making you feel guilty about that. At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you happy, and not what makes everyone else happy. Like you, my grandpa will not be able to attend the my wedding due to his age (he will be 89 when I am to be married..closer to 90 actually) I feel a little guilty about that fact that my grandpa wont be able to make it to the wedding but at the end of the day, all he wants for me is to be happy and do what makes me happy. Hopefully with a little time your family will be able to see that you are happy with your decision and that is all that matters.

I was originally thinking cuff links but he has stated that he would like to wear a short sleeved dress shirt so cuff links wont work. I am now thinking a belt buckle. He wears one every day and sort of collects them? Not sure completely yet.

What about a convertible dress? You pick the colour but the girls can wear their dress however they feel comfortable? I was reading a different thread about bridesmaid dresses and someone elae suggested them. If I do end up with a BP I think I will go this route. I could be wrong. I feel like I read it somewhere when reading up on wedding packages. We havent locked down a location (TA is on holiday until Aug 5th).

We are planning just a symbolic ceremony, so I guess the WC usually officiates them???

My FI and I dont want a registry, but the strange part is that a few of his friends are 'pressuring' us to have one. We wont end up doing one, but they just keep asking.

My FI has a niece and a nephew that he is very close to and he wanted to make sure they were invited to the wedding. He also has a lot of friends who have kids, and we realized we couldnt just invite a couple and not the others. So now on our invite list we have the potential of 9 kids coming.

@@calgarybride2015 At first I was all about the travel sized packages. But we started getting coupons and when we were in the stores we realized it would be cheaper to buy in bulk and separate. So that is what we are doing with our pepto and immodium products. Everything else will be travel sized. @@ng2015 My FI nixed the sunscreen idea all together. He keeps saying "who goes on vacation and doesnt bring sunscreen?" He is all for the Aloe because he hardly remembers to take it, but he does not want to spend any money on sunscreen.

I have less than 50 posts to go and I cant wait! Ahaha

@@Sabes44 At times I feel almost needy about the whole house situation. In the sense that I just want this part to be over and looking ahead to our future and our house together. My FI has been renovating and working his butt off to get the property on the market and because he is focused on that he spends little time thinking about thebwedding. Which is understandable, but at times hard because parts of the wedding I am planning on my own and I didnt want that. @@pddcmc thanks for starting this thread. Ahaha. Its almost like therapy for me!

@@ng2015 like a package within the larger bulk boxes. So the boxes of pepto we bought have 48 pills in them. There are 8 individual sleeves in the package, and 6 pills in a sleeve. So each of our quests will receive 6 pills. I guess you could say our OOT bags have a 'sample' feel to them as opposed to a travel vibe to them when it comes to the few medications/aides that we are including.

I can relate @@pddcmc. My FI lives in a different city and is looking to relocate to my home town. The stressful part is that he owns a house with his siblings and needs to fix up, and sell that place first before we can even think about moving in together. ! It also doesnt help that one of his siblings doesnt see the urgency in selling. The stress is overwhelming at times

I almost broke this same rule today. My mom and I went just to look. We went in with a budget in mind but quickly got carried away. I did learn that I love lace, and it needs to be an A-line. The problem with lace is that it is more than I was hoping to spend. My second choice was organza? It was beautiful, but not lace. If I were getting married tomorrow I would have purchased it, but I am not, so I am still holding out for lace... It was an exhausting day..
