You look gorgeous @!! I can relate with the whole weight loss journey. I was once a lot bigger then I am now. When I was trying on dresses I was pulling size 18 and 20. The consultant was getting so frustrated because they were gigantic. She didnt understand that that is what I am use to being in. Any way, the dress I finally bought is a size 14!! I believe in you! You can do this!!

My FI and I have had this discussion, and we both agree that we feel more comfortable wearing them until we get to the resort. I would constantly be checking my bag to make sure they were still there. Better for us to just wear them down, and know they are not going anyway. This is the stress free way for us, even if it isn't the traditional way for others.

Is it bad that I am 8 months out and I just want it to be here already? LOL I kind of just feel like I am ready to be married already. Ready to be husband and wife. Ready to move on to the next stage of life. How did you ladies get through this and make it to the 3 month our mark without driving yourself insane? LOL

Wow! In my personal opinion, no one, not a single person I have ever seen on this site, has said that they are forcing anyone to go on a vacation that they don't want to. In reality, most people are letting people know that they COMPLETELY understand that it is the bride and grooms choice to do this style of wedding, and that not every one can make it/wants to go. In a large majority of these forums talk about how we all recognize that our choices do not comply with every ones wishes/fantasies about OUR weddings! That's just it though, it is OUR wedding and if we want to celebrate it by jumping on a plane, going some where other than our home towns, and celebrating a week long event (in most cases) then that is what we are going to do! The ladies (and few gents) on this site are here to help each other, to guide each other, and not to judge each other. It is your choice to attend the wedding of your son and his fiance. I am sure if he read this post and saw that you felt forced to be at his day he would tell you to make a choice that you feel comfortable with. Which is what most of us DW brides, and grooms, are doing with their guests that can/do not want to attend. I think that the original post was made so that she could have opinions, and voices of reason about her situation. Believe it or not, DW require planning and typical wedding processes as well, and at times, it is overwhelming, and beyond stressful. Sometimes we just want a non-judgmental ear to listen to us, and remind us why we chose a DW in the first place. I have been following this thread since she first posted it, and I never once thought she was being forceful, or demanding! I feel like I could go on about your post for a while longer, so I will just end it here. Just remember, NO ONE can force or demand you to do anything that you do not want to do.

I can see why this is such a hard decision. I am partial to lace myself, and not too much poof, but having said that, I have to agree with the ladies above, there is something about #2 that I love on you! All of them are beautiful so whatever you choose will look great!! As a side note, I also tried on #3 and it was my third choice. However, I knew I recognized it from some where and could not figure our how. I went back and tried on all 3 the next day and it hit me, one of my good friends chose that dress for her wedding! All are beautiful, go with what you love!

I am making a spread sheet to keep track of the items we have so far for our OOT cups, and I am wondering how you decided to do it. I am torn as to whether or not each individual needs pepto, advil, tums, etc or if giving each family a package of each is sufficient? For the singles, or guest who are bring people we dont know (we have 2 booked so far who still do not know who they are bringing), they will obviously need their own, but for the families, did you still give each person their own package of advil, tums, etc?

A little off topic, but I was wondering if you have put any thought into what you and your fiance plan on doing with the 'free 11th person' money? My fiance and I have 2 free people so far and we have very mixed feelings about what to do with the money. Our TA gave us a couple options, but none of them seems just right. At this point I am thinking about taking half of it and putting it towards one of our trips, and splitting the other one between the rest of the guests. I cant help but feel guilty for keeping it...any of it really...

I dont think it is too much at all. My dress is similar to the one pictured here and I personally dont think it is too much for my wedding. It is your wedding day, you should feel beautiful, and if this dress makes you feel beautiful then it is just perfect!

As of now my FI and I plan on getting legally married the Friday before we leave (we leave on a Tuesday), but celebrating our anniversary on Nov 20th (symbolic ceremony date).

Both are very cute, but my vote is for the cap sleeves with a delicate necklace.

@@Meandhim At times I feel a little bummed out about my dress as well. I dont think I have regrets, I think it is because I havent seen it in a while. Like you I took my dress to my Sister in Laws place last August and have not had it on since. Thankfully I have pictures that I can look at when I get bummed and when I look at the pictures I still get very excited. Maybe your first step is to go and try it on again? Maybe once you have it on again you will have that 'this is the one' feeling again.

My fiance and I were told that we were referred to as 'rude'. The person who called us rude is my fiances sisters 'boyfriend.' What gets me is that he wasnt even directly invited. We assumed that he would be her guest, but it was never discussed, because the discussion of her bringing a friend was talked about most. The kicker is, his sister has now decided she is not going to be attending our wedding. I was floored when I found out she would not be attending because she was a big part of the planning in the beginning, and expressed how excited she was. Sean asked her if he was the one who changed her mind, she tries to reassure us that it was her decision only, and that his opinion doesnt reflect her choice, but I am not sure if I buy that completely. Worst of all, I am a little heart broken because of all the people Sean talked about wanting at the wedding was his mom,and his sister. Surprisingly, Sean has been the rock and reminding me that the people who will be there will try to be there, but most importantly, if only him and I are somehow the only ones there, he is completely ok with that as well.

@@calgarybride2015 I am in Ontario, and the Targets here have the dollar bins. They are (typically) at the front of the store right by the registers. Maybe your store is a smaller location so they eliminated them? p.s. Congrats on your marriage!!!

I did happen to watch it the other night when it was on. I have to agree with you @@acw271011, I found it was cheesy and I just could not get into it. I will not be making it a regular show that I watch. I will stick with my Friday night pjs, chips, and SYTTD US style.

My wedding is not until next November but my TA has already advised people that the payment must be received in full by Sept 22 so we are probably going to send them out the first week in Oct next year. Gives about 6 weeks for people to receive them and look over the package.

Im not sure how many of you ladies have a Big Deal Liquidators near you but I just found Banana Boat Aloe Aftersun for $1.88 each! I picked up 12! I had promised myself I was done OOT hunting until after Christmas, but who can pass up a deal like that? Lol
