Thank you. On my contract, the tax and service fee is added to everything including the package price and external vendor fee! Although it is a different resort, it is still Secrets. I brought it up to the WC but she said all prices are subject to tax and service fee. I remember reading somewhere on the Secrets website that it included it but can't find it now. It's another thousand dollars on top of the package price now

Hi, You have to ask your WC for options. I didn't ask for many upgrades and have about 40 guest but it's adding up especially with another 30% of tax and service fees on top of all the prices.

Does anyone know if the prices of the Secrets Wedding Packages already include tax and service charge? I thought I read somewhere that it did but can't seem to find it. I know add on's and other upgrades will have the additional tax and service charge. Thanks.

I've never been but from what I have read while researching, it is not the turquoise blue water you would see on the Cancun hotel zone. The water is more greenish blue in Playa Mujeres but does seem to be much more calm than the hotel zone. Sometimes there can be seagrass but assuming the resort does a good job raking and cleaning, it shouldn't be a problem. Can't control mother nature so no worries. To get a better idea of the beach conditions, check out photos on Tripadvisor for Excellence Playa Mujeres or The Beloved Hotel. They are on the same strip of beach. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who chose a resort that is not open yet. My date is April 19, 2015. The wedding coordinator, Claudia Cantillo, has been pleasant to work with so far. She used to be the WC at Dreams Cancun. <-discovered that on this forum. Happy planning Megwade!

April 2015 Where did you get the group rate? Was it through the resort directly? Or through travel agent?
