  1. @@Bnt14 If you're not getting answers I would call. It's better to be safe than sorry. I'm not getting married there but when I have questions because I like to be clear I call the hotel and speak to the WC. I just have to make sure we're on the same page. I know that the hotel WC doesn't start communicating and planning until 45days until the wedding. What you should do is look up vendor and read your contract thoroughly.
  2. @@Gibbs150 So many people had different things to say about the food. I'm really big on food. So I ended up going with Jamaica because I went last year and the hotel we stayed at we didn't really have to leave the property. In addition the food was great. They have four different restaurants and a buffet. And they have activities at the pool and nightly entertainers.
  3. I agree with you. I think that it should be the most important. I recently contacted elite media concepts after reviewing a groom on here that I follow. His wedding video was a story and I loved that part. So I'm waiting for a response from the company. But if I am going to pay for pictures it has to be quality.
  4. Hello Ladies, I thought about Mexico than decided to go with Jamaica. Great Planning ladies.
  5. @mariakI stayed at Iberorstar beaches last year and loved it. I booked the suites for my wedding. Iberorstar is amazing looks good, great customer service, and excellent food. The hotel has alot of activites so you really dont have to leave the hotel if you dont want to Did you eventually pick a place?
  6. Jennifer and Bruce 10-23-2015 Suites @@FutureMrsGlover @@helenk @@budgetbride2015 Roll Call. Add anyone else on our thread to here that I may have missed
  7. The cheapest way to go in my opinion is lanterns and candles you cant beat that. IKEA has lanterns for about $3-10 each. Or cylinder vases with food coloring to incorporate your wedding colors and silk flowers. And go to etsy and get the mr and mrs sign for $50 bucks @Tatimrivera Thanks for the heads up. But when I was there I seen a wedding on the beach and they had no tent. I wonder if this is a new policy. They had a very nice reception on the beach. I also seen a reception by the pool area. @jennifernoel1 i'm not. I am going to send the WC a pic of a design I want them to incorporate into my cake but since they don't credit you for not using something in the package I'm using everything @Tatimrivera Will the create the cake based on the design you want?? If so, Ill be doing the same. I do know that they will charge if you want a a bigger cake. Their cake is pretty good. They had one made for my cousin and my best friend because we vaca there for their birthdays. When we came back to our rooms each one had a cake on their night stands
  8. @budgetbride2015 Yep they charge day passes. I was also thinking about bringing someone as well just not so sure yet.
  9. @@AYC house your planning going.n I'm getting married there next year. Trying to decide if I want the wedding on the beach or not
  10. @@budgetbride2015 they charge for all outside vendors. You may want to read the contract. I refer to it almost everyday. I'm currently looking at elite media concepts
  11. I feel like have been responding but not going anywhere. Hope everyone is doing well in their planning
  12. @@Tatimrivera congrats! Are you referring to the $800 for the private dinner when referring to the tent dinner on the beach.
  13. @@helenk I agree. Trying to keep it as low as possible. But I do want my pictures to be very very nice so I'm willing to spend on that.
  14. I run up and down the stadium stairs and started using herbalife
  15. @@budgetbride2015 @@helenk @@FutureMrsGlover I agree I think it's the craziest thing in the world that you would have to pay extra for an open bar at an all inclusive hotel. Are any of you using an outside vendor for the cake??
  16. @@FutureMrsGlover congrats to you as well! Thanks I'll call on Monday. I'm ready to send out save the dates so my guest can start making payment arrangements. I plan parties all the time but this is my first for destinations
  17. Unfortunately prices won't be up until around nov. But last summer our tickets were only $251. So since October isn't peak season I'm hoping it will be a bit cheaper
