I agree, I used to be a wedding planner for a venue on the beach and trust me its extremely difficult and uncomfortable to try to walk in sand in anything but sandals or barefoot, flats can work, they just get filled with sand easily. I plan to walk down the isle barefoot and have a fun pair of heels to change into after.

I am also trying to decide if its worth it, or if it would just be more fun to go to another bar after and maybe just have a little trio or something during the reception. We don't plan on a typical wedding, might just want to do a few speeches and maybe a first dance but really just want to have fun and enjoy the time with friends and family.

@@hapykat it is definitely not easy to book something site unseen, but I feel confident with all the research I have done. I am just working on figuring out what "extras" are worth it to pay for. Still comparing with Karisma resorts, but I have liked Excellence from the beginning and two story terrace room looks amazing! I totally over think things, go with your first instinct. If you don't mind the sand and potential stripes of shade and light I say go for it. I have never noticed that detail in any of the pictures, until you mentioned it. Either way you can't go wrong! @HNeal Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I keep questioning myself, but since the beginning ERC has been my first choice. They seem to have better all inclusive wedding packages, so less decisions to make! Ironically I am a event/wedding planner but want to make my wedding as easy and not fussy as possible. Thanks for helping make my decision!

Great review! We are thinking about getting married at ERC end of May next year. How was the weather when you went? Also, what other resorts did you look at and what made you choose Excellence? I keep leaning towards Excellence but I am a bit torn. Thanks for your advice!
