I do agree that pinterest can create unrealistic expectations! I am on there a lot for work (event planning gla here) and its a nice break from the craziness at work. Just try to not compare myself or want to be the perfect pinterest gal, cause I am definitely not perfect, nor want to be!

Agreed! For me (and I think many on here) are doing a destination wedding because the background is the decor so you can get away with a lot less than a white, blank boring hotel ballroom that is the norm. Keep it simple, people are there to have fun not criticize what you did for your wedding.

Are there any other local craft stores? You could always incorporate coral other ways (ribbon, beads, feathers etc) in your bouquet if you choose to make it. I would imagine the resort should have options for that, just depends on what you really want. For me I don't overly care about my bouquet as it won't be coming back with me. i want it to look pretty and be in some pictures, but I also don't want it to take away from the background. Also check out pinterest, you might find ideas on there and maybe you could but white or ivory flowers and make they coral your self!

I agree with @@acw271011! I was thinking about getting a second dress for the reception too, but I doubt I will want to change out of it day of! We are legally getting married here the weekend before our wedding, just the two of us. I am planning on getting a short, white, cute/fun dress for that and wearing it at the welcome reception too. I think a little sparkle is a great idea, just a touch can go a long way!

The wedding package through the resort comes with bouquets (I haven't seen the options yet) and I heard they can make something similar if not exactly what you want if you send a picture. Micheal's would be my first suggestion...what about doing coral toned shells with flowers? Not sure what your other colors are.... I love coral and hope to integrate it in my wedding, but haven't really chosen colors and am not doing a wedding party so my "colors" might be random Also have you checked amazon??

We have enough points to pay for one first class ticket and are going to see if we can just buy points for the other first class ticket. They are crazy expensive, but with points I can justify it and its our wedding! I love everyone's ideas and that they are so willing to share and I don't mind borrowing!

I am not going to ship anything either, the resort allows it but doesn't guarantee anything. We are hoping to fly first class too that could help too

Good ideas! Those look amazing for iron ons! I found this super cute colored salt from esty and loved it, till I saw the price tag of over $100!! I searched around and now am doing them myself for $20 total.

Got it, we are sending save the dates this week. But have already talked to everyone and sent a save the date email. But the resort is still finalizing the room block agreement. Really hoping to have everything done in the next week.

Great question! I was wondering about sparklers and I think they would be super cute in pictures. Could you buy them there? I read somewhere else you just have to make sure you have receipts for everything and can't bring in over a certain $ amount of items. If you are using a TA I would ask them.

@@kcole123 do you already have your rsvps in? I am not sure how many to order, we have an idea of how many guests will go, but don't think I will have a solid number till the beginning of next year.

I totally agree with @@Meandhim and think you are making the right decision @@MrsRoy. You need to put yourself and son first and communicate with your FI. Not always the easiest thing to do when you are feeling vulnerable but when you do it and realize he can help you will feel much better! I do agree that drugs are just a band aid and speaking from someone who has gone through some tough stuff. I highly recommend talking to someone else about everything. I wouldn't be able to commit myself to my relationship and think I could have a successful marriage (or even relationship for that matter) if I hadn't gone through all the therapy I had. Hang in there, you are doing the right thing! My thoughts are with you too!! BTW don't feel dumb!! you made the best decision you could with everything you are dealing with.

I think you should stick to your original plan. Everyone on here does have Great ideas! OF course each persons wedding is unique to them and everyone has different reasons for spending money on certain things. I have a couple of things on my budget now that I can cut if it gets too far past what we planned to spend. We have had a few additions and I am comfortable with cutting a couple of things without being heart broken.

We haven't decided yet! A few weeks ago we went through songs for a few hours and still didn't make any decisions. I want to walk down to "god bless the broken road" but my FI is anti country. I just love the words of the song and very fitting for us. We want to walk back up together to something fun and up beat....still looking! What about you @@upstatekj?

I do agree if its meant to be it will be. Everyone has ups and downs and its good to not take marriage lightly. I think most people get cold feet or second guess everything. You are going through a lot right now and moving in with someone alone is a big deal. It helps if you talk to him about any fears or concerns you may have. Sometimes we talk too much, but it helps me clam down about stuff that in my own head I might freak out about but when I talk to my FI its all fine
