  1. for those of you who recently had your wedding, did the wedding coordinator at the hotel do a quick dress rehearsal the day before so everyone knows where to walk, stand, etc
  2. @@lolita2014, congrats! you will have to give me all the details! so I know you told me in earlier post about the sheer. So you just bought what you posted and gave it to the hotel and they cut it and placed on the gazebo? Did you have to tell them how to place it? Was that enough sheer? I'm debating to bring the sheer or just rent it from hotel to save hassle, but based on your post I would be saving lots of money if I brought the sheer myself. How much did they charge you for decorations?
  3. thud office if Miami is so unorganized. i sent payment for the bride dress rehearsal, got confirmation, booked my ticket, there's proof from bank that payment was made and now they emailing me that they have not received payment yet. argh! no number to call back either.
  4. thank you for everyones input and support. I really appreciate hearing from all of you. I really don't want to sound like a bridezilla but with the wedding only 6months away and invitations haven't even sent out i'm getting inpatient with the coordinators. I'm trying to decide what I need to buy too and that's why so hard when I don't hear back from them. So I do have a question. for those of you that brought your own sheer, if I bring my own sheer for the wedding gazebo, what is the dimension I need? im getting married at the zocalo gazebo on the beach. I just ask the fabric store to cut that length and bring it with me to hotel and they know what to do with it? I don't have to do anything to that sheer? how much do they charge if you bring your own decorations? i'm also debating to bring my own lanterns to hang from the gazebo for the reception? my reception will be at palapa yoga. anyone had it there and have any input? I don't know if I need to add any additional lighting or if the lighting they provide is enough. thank you.
  5. I'm having such bad luck with the wedding coordinator on Miami. this is the second one I requested and she is just the same as the first one. takes her 2-3 days to reply. my wedding is 6 months away and I just got confirmation on reception location and time. I still don't have information on dj, decorations, etc. if I ask her something she sends md a link instead of helpng guide me. isn't there job to let us know what comes standard and ask if that's ok or if we want something different let them know. she doesn't ever inform me what is "standard" I have to ask her specifically and then it takes 2-3 days to get answers. they does this day in and day out but yet I feel like pulling teeth to get answers from them, more like I'm the coordinator than she is. I've spoken to her once and addressed my concern, I just had to call in again bc having heard back from her. I don't want them to take it out on my complaints and ruin my wedding but I'm so fed up with the poor lack of customer service. any other brides have this problem.
  6. @mention: I have Ashley Fermin right now. If I make a request that would be third time and I don't know if they would let me. I don't want to sound like a bridezilla but all i'm asking for is reply to my email I don't think they would let me request anyone specifically either. when I asked to switch from my first coordinator (Isabella Perez) that took them 2-3 weeks to assign me Ashley so I'm kind of scared to ask again. how quickly did she reply to you. I sent my email (actually multiple emails) to her Tuesday and still have not heard anything back (today is Thursday). btw, congrats on your wedding in 2 weeks!!!
  7. is anyone else having a problem with the wedding coordinators in Miami? This is the second coordinator I requested that does not reply to email in timely manner. I had the same issue with the first one who did not reply to email in timely manner and was not able to leave voice messages. My wedding is in 6 months, and I do not have a dinner reception location or time confirmed yet because she does not return emails. I cant even plan anything because she doesn't return email answering the questions I sent her. I sent her email 2 days ago and still no reply. Its a bit frustrating because I can't even send out my invitations to my guest yet because she has not confirmed anything for me. I read the reviews and it says they are great to work with but so far has not been very helpful/pleasant. Anyone else have these similar situations?
