  2. @@MichelleT that would be so great if you can provide an update and include photos! Lupita definitely set my mind at ease, but hearing from someone like you who is not out to make money on us still being there would be a relief!
  3. @@hyoungquist I think we all need to bear in mind the guests who were there during the storm have been traumatized and saw it all at the absolute worst. We are still going to have our wedding there - our travel agent said that even if we were able to move to another Sandos resort, if the hotel is able to receive us, airlines would not be offering waived fees. Most of our guests have already booked. My hope is that the resort itself is in great shape by the time early December rolls around. We all should keep in mind that Cabo's economy is based on its tourism and it's in the best interest of everyone there to get these resorts back up and running ASAP. With all that said, I will be sure to update this post as I get more info and post pictures post event!
  4. Hello fellow Cabo brides! I am getting married at Sandos Finisterra on December 6th and I just got this note from Lupita today: Dont worry everything will be fine for December; right now I am not In Los Cabos, so I dont have access to the wedding files; by the first week of october I will back to los cabos, and we can continue with the coordination of the details for your big day. Just wanted to pass that along to those of you who may have wedding dates later this year. My heart really goes out to those of you who have been severely affected. Please keep us posted as to how you make up with the shuffle of plans!!
  5. This is such good info. Up until this point I have been working with someone in their group reservations department and it has been painful to get responses and they are giving us no breaks on rooms. At this point I would prefer to work with a travel agent or something. Did the TA charge a fee to work with them? And ditto on the photographer reccomendations. The one the resort sent me is mediocre in my opinion and while they are also fairly inexpensive, I would rather spend a little more for better quality. I will check these all out!
  6. @@DVon18 I am in the midst of booking my wedding for December 2014. Did you have any issues with the resort in booking your rooms outside their group reservations dept? I have loved working with Lupita, but the other woman has been pretty slow to respond and not too helpful. I am going to give Theresa a call today to see what I can do outside of booking with them. Also, are you using the photographer they recommend or another one?
