I saw it online it's meant for their name apparently aka Ms/Mrs/Mr.....I'm debating about leaving it in.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yea I printed this at home and the colors are really light so I hope when I go print them the colors pop more! Did staples test print it for free? Can you have them cut them for you also? I wonder how much extra that is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm not a crafty person either as this is my first DIY ever! Its def not a one day thing. I downloaded the template from aylee bits. The clip art I just googled and copy and pasted it but I had to resize and drag it into the template. The fonts are what took me the longest! I am weird about fonts and everything I was doing at first just looked bad to me. I ended up downloading the cursive font used for our names. It takes patience esp if you're not savvy with MS Word. It took maybe a few sessions of playing around to get it how I wanted. Since I plan to let staples print and cut them for me the work is pretty much done! Just have to arrange them in the sleeves I plan to buy [emoji16] can't wait to see the finished product! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hate when I read stuff like this because weddings are supposed to be happy occasions and people should not be ruining it for the couple! We decided against having a bridal party for this very reason! He has 4 brothers and 4 best friends and I didn't have the numbers to come close to his, lol. I was stressing over adding people to balance it out and I didn't want to do that. So to avoid drama and stress we opted out. Good luck to everyone though! I say to confront the people being douchy....sometimes people don't know how they come off to others until you confront them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok so I haven't printed my invitations yet but I just finished designing them and the luggage tag RSVP. I think I'm going to go to staples and print them on card stock since my printer sucks lol. Let me know what you think! It took way more effort than I thought! Who knew picking fonts could be so tiring?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

hey ladies! I was just thinking about wedding stuff and thought about being able to contact the other guests while at the resort! I think our resort only includes free wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. How do you all plan on being able to contact the guests while on the resort? I don't think everyone will have an international plan, although me and my fiancee were thinking of getting one just for the wedding.

Preventing tan lines before the wedding?
helenk replied to wemkulaf's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
Haha yea I know what you mean. I don't see a difference when I look in the mirror but my clothes show the change. I honestly wouldn't mind if they were smaller, I always wondered what it'd be like to find clothes that fit or not to have to worry about showing too much cleavage. You know I have never worn a push up bra so that would be a new adventure! lol. My fiancee is more of an ass man anyway I can't wait for the day that we have a final guest count and everyone is booked! That is what I am most eager for! And to have it all paid off haha! I feel like we're still so far away! -

thanks! and wow! you are huge woman! lol. i hope i don't get too small as i've been a D/DD our entire relationship. of course i'd rather be healthy than have big boobs, but it'll def be an adjustment. your wedding is coming up soon! that's so exciting! i can't wait to get closer to our date so i know how many guests will be coming and we can really start planning all the details! -
Preventing tan lines before the wedding?

I was also thinking about this alot in the beginning of my planning as I was a DD cup. Well now that I've lost almost 40 lbs I have noticed that my bras are a bit big in the cup area I am still losing weight and our wedding isn't for another year so I guess by the time the wedding rolls around I may be able to swing a strapless bikini top without any problem, lol. -
Alteration-1/2 Cost Of My Dress!
helenk replied to cmingalone's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Wow I had no idea alterations could be so expensive! I am losing weight so unfortunately I'll have to get alterations at some point. I plan to purchase my dress in January in my size at the time or maybe one size smaller and then alter it closer to the wedding. How long does it take for alterations anyway? How far in advance do you all do the final alterations/fitting? -
Yea I don't get it either. I'm still wondering if it'll be better to have them mail the RSVPs or do it online. I have done both when responding to people's weddings, for me the online one was so much easier but I'm inviting some older guests that I am unsure if they are computer savvy....for my parents and such I could just do it for them but I don't want to be doing it for EVERYONE. Lol. I'll def tell people an earlier deadline though....I'm not going to chance that! Lol.

I feel the same exact way! I cry so easily I'm afraid I'll start bawling during the ceremony! Lol. And I also don't want to miss the entire cocktail hour for pictures! Especially since we're paying extra for it and also I hate when the bride and groom are never at their cocktail hours! I don't wanna miss our whole wedding to take pics! Maybe we will take some pictures before but in a way where we can't see each other? I've seen pics like that and they're so cute!

I personally am not a fan of A line dresses so I like dress #1 with the belt! Looks amazing on you!

Reading this thread is starting to worry me that people will be late to book or not respond! Lol gahh why is planning events always such a hassle! People suck. Lol. Hopefully everything works out for everyone! Me and my fiancée were just saying last night we aren't even going to stress it, the less people the less money we have to pay. I'm going to try to think that way when booking time comes around.

My aunt who can't make it to our wedding is throwing me a bridal shower back home. I'm inviting the people I've invited to the wedding bc I feel it'd be awkward to invite people I didn't invite to the wedding. She wants me to register and everything. I feel a little weird about the people spending on travel buying me gifts, but she is really excited about doing this for me and I know everyone who would come is doing it because they care so I guess I have to just suck it up!

Well we had fully intended to do the legal courthouse thing right before our wedding but now something came up. He's going back to school and since we just moved here to TX last yr he doesn't qualify for in state tuition unless he's been employed for the last 12 months. (He got hurt on the job and had to leave after a few months and hasn't been able to get another job). Unless we get legally married and he does it through me....I'll be employed for 12 months in another month and a half. I felt bad cuz my reaction was kinda iffy on this, but I just feel like doing it so far in advance will make the DW seem less special or something. Idk why I'm having a hard time deciding to do it this early when we were going to do it anyway. It's like over $1,000 difference with in state and out of state tuition so we could totally use that extra money for the wedding!

I am also having a hard time with this. I'm from MA but me and my fiancée moved to TX last year. All my family and close friends are in MA with the exception of a good friend who moved here the year before us. I know I want to go with my mom so I'm planning a trip home in like January for that. My dilemma is my best friend from home is coming to visit in a few weeks and I really wanna go try some dresses on! But I don't want to take away from the first time dress shopping experience with my mom. Ugh! Females and their feelings, ruins everything! Lol I will prob take my friend who lives here to my fittings for sure and my best friend will be there when I go home for the dress shopping either way but I am getting anxious and want to go try some on to at least get an idea of what looks good. Sometimes family can impose their opinion on me and I kind of want to make an opinion on my own with just a friend so I know what looks good.

That sounds great! Our wedding is at 4:00pm. How are you going to fit the dances and speeches into the hour and a half time slot? I'm at a loss as to what to do to get those things but not pay the $800 to rent the restaurant out!

Anyone Else Overwhelmed With Cost?
helenk replied to kcole123's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I'm starting to worry a bit but since we have over a year until the wedding I'm trying to keep calm. I'm buying my dress in January and will start my shopping then as hopefully I'll have an idea of how many guests are coming. Hopefully the guest count is like 20 or 30 so I don't have to worry about a traditional private reception Man who would've thought even destination weddings would be stressful! -

@@pddcmc Wow that is definitely stressful but very exciting! We moved cross country last August so I can imagine everything you're thinking about! Well we're not buying a house or anything but my biggest stress is money! We have zero money saved as I am the only one working (Fiancée injured his back and hasn't been able to find a new job) so he'll be going back to school next month. It just makes saving for a wedding that much harder with only one income. The only saving grace is that he got a lot of financial aid for school and his tuition is only a small percentage of that so he'll be able to use that money towards the wedding. Just want to fast forward a few years to already having a house and being married and being financially where we want to be

@@calgarybride2015 I was thinking of doing this too but now I'm wondering where I'm going to carry all the extra stuff. Lol. I'll have to think about this one.

@@jennifernoel1 Did you block the rooms through your TA? Is the $1000 the price for 10 rooms ? I'm wondering if I should block the rooms now....
