Lol! If I had the money I'd definitely look into it. Even just a little for my arms would help bc right now I feel like my arms won't get to where I want them in time for the wedding. Just gotta keep at it! Dumbbells are my besties right now. And squats.

@@jennifernoel1 Aww thanks! I definitely don't want to be skinny, but def more toned. I don't want jiggling arms, thighs, or tummy on the beach lol! My arms are my biggest problem right now. And thighs.

I'm currently trying to get out of my plateau as well - it's so frustrating bc I have gone up and down between the same 5-6 lbs since we joined the gym and I started doing strength training. I don't want to just do cardio bc I want to be toned for the beach! Ugh. Lol. Although my weight hasn't changed much in the last 2 months I do physically see a little bit of a difference with muscle growth and my tummy slimming down. I wish I could not focus on the scale but I still want to lose at least 40 more before the wedding. I'm at 195 right now. That is why I decided to design my own invite! I couldn't find any that I loved online! Designing it didn't take too long - finding the perfect font was the hardest part for me. Now I just hope it prints the way I want. We've also put deposits on everything. I'm just going to use the resort makeup person I think. I've read reviews that said they were good. Since the hairstyle comes with our package I'll just have them do my makeup as well. I'm stressing on money so I definitely can't wait until everything is paid in full and we are on that plane! That's awesome! You can totally do it! We still have 9 months to go! Planning is going fine. We put the deposit down with our TA to book our travel package already, so that's a relief. I've purchased my dress as well. And that's about all I've done, lol. The invitations are my main focus right now. I'm going to be mailing them out soon, hopefully before the end of the month. I had a snag at kinko's when I did a test print - the font came out different so I'm going to try saving it to PDF file and go to staples and see if that works. So now that I have my dress I'm super excited because it has a built in shaper so I won't need to wear Spanx in Jamaica ! Yesss! I will probably wear a bustier and regular underwear.

So I went to do a test print at kinkos and my cursive font that I downloaded online and used for our names and titles didn't print in the right font. The guy wasn't sure why and even when he printed it behind the counter and pulled it up on his computer it looked different from what it looked like on my laptop. Anyone have problems with this? I wonder if staples will print it correctly, but just wondering if anyone had this issue.

So I definitely want to wear one.....but I'm not sure if we'll be doing the toss only because we're not sure yet if we're having a "reception" where we could actually do it. Our wedding package includes a semi private dinner and then any sort of private thing is an extra cost and has a minimum of 30 guests. So we'll have to wait and see how many people book!

I'm not sure actually lol....I bought it at an outlet off the rack. I'm going tomorrow to try it on again so I'll check and let you know! I'm clueless when it comes to wedding stuff, lol.

Thanks ladies, all turned out well! I had two days with my friend of trying on MANY dresses and after going back and forth between 3, I finally picked one today! I def had to sleep on it bc I had a lot of opinions coming at me and everyone but my friend only had pics to go off of, and it doesn't help that I'm indecisive. It would've been nice to have them here but it was still a lot of fun trying on all those dresses!

I looked it up on google and there's basically nonstop flights from MBJ to the states, Europe, Canada, and Panama.

So here's the story. We moved to Houston last August. All my friends and family are still home in Boston. I only have one friend here with her husband who we knew from Boston who moved down here the year before we did. We are good friends and I value her opinion. I'm just sad because I can't make it home to go dress shopping with my family and best friend nor can they make it here. Have any brides gone shopping without their moms, besties, etc? How did it go? It seems most places require you to get the license first, wait a day or two and then go in for the "ceremony". It's annoying, I wish I could just sign papers too but you gotta do what you gotta do [emoji4]

Well it's weird I've gotten some comments from my family who are back home in MA who aren't even here in person to see results, only from a few pics that were up online. My mom was all "you don't want to lose too much weight" and after seeing like a couple pics from a baseball game we went to "your face looks weird" well thanks MOM! Lol. My grandmother said the same thing about not losing too much. She's like "you don't want to have loose skin". First off, I don't think I was THAT BIG that once I lose all my weight I will have loose skin. And I'm trying to be healthier, don't they get that? Greeks I tell ya! I had thought about trying this a while back but totally forgot about it until I came across this thread! lol. Our wedding is not until October 2015 so I feel like I should do a test run seeing as I have never gotten one!

My fiancee and I are both in need and want of losing a lot of weight before our wedding next year. In February of this year I was 242 and right now I am 188. Still have a way to go but that's why I started early. I am really proud of myself for sticking to it and having us both doing it helps of course! It would be really hard if he was eating whatever and I was eating healthy. We are both just eating healthy and working out. We have a cheat day once a week otherwise we would not stick with it, lol. Once you get into the habit of eating a certain way and working out it feels weird to not do it. I am actually excited to go to the gym now which is something I have never felt! Here are some before/after pics so far....I actually am at a size now where I feel okay going dress shopping so I have my first appointment scheduled in a couple of weeks. Yay!

Well I haven't gotten my dress yet so I have no idea what I will be wearing underneath! But whatever I get, I know I am definitely wearing a bra - I would not feel comfortable without one! Unless they sew in the cups, but I've never done that so I have no idea how it would work. As for underwear, I would probably do something nude and full coverage - depending on if I can tone my tummy down enough

I was wondering the same thing....now I think I'll be sending them even to those who have already said they can't make it. I know how emotional people get around weddings, so to avoid any drama - I'll just send them out I designed my own invitation anyway and the cost to print is way less than the headache it will cause if people's feelings get hurt.
