  1. My wedding dress cost $500 bucks. If I have to spend another $500 to get the ass taken in, I will get myself a pair of those shorts with a sewn in booty. And I won't feel so bad when I trash it 2 days later!
  2. This is the look he's going for and if he wants to change his name to Brandon I won't mind after all Shot at the Night and Dustland Fairytale are my 2 Processional songs so I guess we will look the part! Party on can't wait... To see our men looking great! Meow!
  3. Yep sticking dress, veil suit, sons tux and daughters dress. One big bag.
  4. Off topic, but I couldn't relax for a second having anyone even family babysitting my children out of my sight in a foreign country. Would be a wreck the whole time.
  5. Don't jump the boat before it's sailed! You have SO much time before your wedding. And it's only been what 2 weeks since you mailed something. People are probably waiting for an invite or waiting to get caught up on their regular finances after all of the Holidays etc. Don't worry dear!!! But I would say your off to a success, it's only been 2 weeks and you have 2 people confirmed already, even if they are your mother and grandmother. There may be people who don't want to stay at your resort or ones that want to make their own arrangements etc etc so don't panic! My wedding is in 4 months and over 85% of people have not RSVP to my March 1st RSVP deadline. I think it's appropriate to send out something 7 days before your Feb. 28th deadline.(Just my thought but do what you think is best!) I would keep it geared towards securing their room. And don't worry if people don't bc that doesn't mean they are not coming to your wedding Good luck!! I guess I should mention our family and friends financial ability is on so many different wave lengths that decided to have a wedding off site from a hotel and we also made it clear on our wedding website where we were staying, the promo code they could use when they booked to get a discount, but STRESSED that people can book whenever they want and wherever they want as long as it's by March 1st and if not by March 1st we comically listed the name of nearby take out joints they may want to eat at before they come to the wedding! Lol I couldn't even think about getting everyone in the same hotel together and keeping up on people. So if something goes array you have many other options to get people there and also keep your sanity!
  6. Good question! Mine has not bought his yet. But we went to Jos A Banks and tried on some. I think the total for a slim cut 2 piece suit similar to an Italian cut, was like $284. We are not having a traditional wedding party but if we were I would start calling local mens attire suiting stores to see what their policies are for renting for destination weddings. I know a lot of men do not wear a suit on the beach and I'm not even sure where your ceremony is going to be held but, I LOVE the photos of men in a suit and a bride on the beach in a veil etc. Good luck! Let's us know what you find out!
  7. It takes a lot of strength and conviction to post what you did. Happy to hear that you made the right decision for your boys. Kids always come first. So rejoice in your strength and let it be a true testimony of real love. Love for your boys and love for yourself. Hugs.
  8. Hey there! No your not being silly. Weddings are very personal. Your feelings are normal. And probably... She could have approached you differently. Don't be too caught up on the small stuff. I've said it a million times. Anyone and everyone invited to a destination wedding should be allowed a guest. True it was her man, but now it's not and if you still want her to come it's important to be flexible, as people coming to your wedding are making a huge commitment financially and with their time. Blah lol ok now for your bags. It's a nice gesture to give them to people. And going back to your childhood remember your parents saying " don't eat a snack unless you have enough to offer everyone"? That rule kinda applies with everything in life. But I imagine you would have put 2 cups in your friends bag anyways so I wouldn't change anything just put whatever you had originally planned in the bag which would have been enough for two people... Ok I'm done lol
  9. @@Kayla88 i understand and it's so selfless of you to have made it happen for him. My 2 friends are coming and my cousins from NY who I haven't seen in 5 years! Scott's whole family is coming. I think subconsciously I knew it would turn that way and that's why I wanted it, but I hope he feels surrounded with love at your wedding. Xo
  10. @@Kayla88 That is super awesome of you to do that for you FI. Really cool.
  11. @@NotSoWitty Your leaving soon! Correct? How exciting! There's another bride on here leaving the 17th too! Congrats and I hope it is perfect! Let us know how Petra did for you on your wedding ceremony!
  12. @@Matt Adcock the little girls expression in the first photo is priceless. What a great shot. So innocent and filled with excitement, I'm going to show Carla this photo!
  13. IMO considering she's providing a service I would tip irregardless that you are flying her in. You asked her to be a part of your day in a diff location so flying her in and paying for her things is accommodating you so you can have her there. Make sense? So I would say you should tip, just like you would if you had hired a local or even a little more because of how much traveling she is doing to come to help you on your big days! Congrats!!!
  14. Ditto. All veils can have this happen. Uses a steamer. Then hang. Almost every resort or other has one. If that isn't strong enough place it down in between 2 clean white towels and place low temp iron on it and move the iron around so it doesn't get too hot.
  15. @blushingbride19thanks! Is it a real flower? What kind?
  16. Agreed. Every wedding is unique so finding a photographer or dj or whatever that is flexible and dynamic is a good sign. Also gauging their communication to see if it is aligned with your style will give you a tip right form the beginning. )))
  17. That's an awesome idea! I love seeing everyone's creativity in the works!
  18. @@calgarybride2015 hahaha isn't that the truth! Ha! Scott will probably be struggling with mine too! I decided for the bouquet toss - minus the garter @@Wafflesmom Oh no problemo! It's Catherine cole on etsy. The "shoes are called "something blue".
  19. This is my something blue for beach wedding. What is yours?
  20. That's what I meant by posters remorse. I can see the truth in people probably either loving their photographer or hating them when it comes to their wedding. Makes sense.
  21. Hola! Sent out ours in Sept. for our June weddings. Our families are well low on funds hmm hmm so we had to give lots of notice. Take your guests needs into consideration and mail it based on that; that's my advice.
