  1. Love all of these! Leaning towards cupcakes and a small cake for cutting but can't make up my mind!
  2. Such a hard choice....I'm leaning towards a Coldplay song.
  3. Glad to hear there are others not partaking in this. My FI is not comfortable doing this in front of my dad and I have to say I don't blame him.
  4. I love all the cake topper ideas! Leaning towards a "Mr&Mrs" one I found on etsy FI actually picked it!
  5. Thank you @@DVon18. Has anyone come across any weddings where they have used the inside services? I was hoping to try them out.
  6. Tommy Bahama is a great idea! Definitely will be heading to the outlet in the near future.
  7. Not sure what we will do yet either but I do like the thought of the "anticipation" before walking down the aisle
  8. We don't know as they all verbally say "Oh yeah we are going" when we have seen them at get togethers (which is akward....HELLO we didn't even invite you and your talking about coming down during our wedding!). Whether they go or not is up to them we just are going to make it very clear what functions are for who we invited to the wedding (Goingto the spa beforehand, getting ready, "Welcome/Rehearsal" dinner, wedding ceremony, breakfast the morning after, etc.). Where do you draw the line though? Our wedding is on the beach and you can see the area from the pool so what do we say...oh by the way please don't sit by the pool this afternoon so you can't watch our wedding? But I feel like some may do this and it seems like it would feel like getting married on a public beach where whoever wants to can witness your wedding.
  9. Would it be reasonable to say that the tip should also be based on the price of the wedding package? Our entire wedding package is $3,700 so I am not sure what would be expected.
  10. I hadn't even thought about this yet. My FI is very alarmed by Facebook and Instagram posts while we are out of town (he's a worry wart) and whenever we go on a trip I wait until we get back to post anything just out of respect for him. His biggest concern is people knowing we aren't home and someone breaking in (yes, we have heard of it happening where we live). I will definitely consider as being required in something that goes out to our guests.
  11. We aren't having a bridal party at our wedding. It is going to be so small anyways (around 30 people) and we don't want to deal with the stress or drama that it can add. It is mostly family coming and a couple of really close friends that will be there through the whole process that I don't think anyone will be offended that they aren't "standing" next to us at the aisle.
  12. I like the idea of doing it when you get back. I feel like if we do it before our actual ceremony I will be more emotional about it rather then doing it after.
  13. I am currently in the same situation as well. My future SIS has invited about 15 other people to come to Cabo the week that we are there for the wedding. I have made it very clear that we can't afford to pay for everyone to come ($100 extra pp) and that even if we could, this our one day to be surrounded by those who love us, not people who want to come for the party. It sounds selfish but I would NEVER do that at her wedding. And aren't you there to spend time with us (we are very close friends)? It is a hard situation but I strongly believe in putting your foot down. It is your wedding and only happens once so make sure it goes the way you want it to.
  14. I didn't know that....definitely not great for brides @@kmk2016
  15. I found that booking through sites like Expedia are much cheaper then booking through a T.A. or the hotel directly.
  16. I'm planning on no shoes for the ceremony and then Tom's wedges for the reception since it will be on a terrace. I can't imagine walking down the isle in heels....all that I would be thinking about it trying not to fall on my face instead of looking at my soon to be husbands face!
  17. My dress is by Sue Wong and I paid just over $200 and need NO alterations whatsoever. It was on sale on The Habit and I've seen her dresses also on sales through Ideel and Rue La La. They are BEAUTIFUl and the first one I ordered on a whim and it was the one!
