Just jumping in.... from my knowledge since it's a non-legal ceremony you don't have to bring anything with you. Either before or after Mexico you will have to make your marriage legal back home and that will require some paperwork depending where you live.

Hey! Those are both beautiful dresses. I had a couple thoughts after reading your post.. 1. Does David's Bridal ( or any bridal store ) have a similar style you can try on to ensure you actually like it on your body? The only reason I say this is because everything I thought I wanted, I actually didn't once I had it on me. 2. From my experience with David's Bridal, their measurements to dress sizes are accurate. We ordered 2 BM's dresses solely off measurements/their recommendation on what size to order and both fit with minor alterations. 3. My other experience with David's Bridal is that they don't take as long as they say they will. They told me 3 months for my dress and it came in 6-8 weeks, and they told me 12 for my BM's dresses (as they were a new fabric color) and they took 6 weeks. I know you can't bank on this but wanted to let you know. If you feel this is the dress for you, I would ask David's Bridal to order you both as they can't offer you them on their floor to try on. Or atleast have them seek out where you could try them on around your house. I would probably recommend though trying to find something similar to try on first, just to save yourself the hassle if they do arrive and you decide it's not for you. Good luck!

Well with our package for our family of 4 we get 6 free bags. 4 can be 70lbs (first class upgrade for b/g yay!) and 2 can be 50lbs. We hope that we can pack all of our clothes into 2 and push those 70lbs limits. And we can have 4 for our wedding stuff -- but this is my idea if we use 3: Suitcase 1 - tumblers. I got all but 6? in this suitcase. I have some bubble wrap in the suitcase but there isn't room to pack them each individually Suitcase 2 - maracas (this is a small 20 inch suitcase) I am not wrapping these extra whatsoever as Amol's didn't and they were all ok. Suitcase 3 - frames, vases (sit flat), chest, postcards, glow sticks, fans, flower girl pail, and extra tumblers. I think all the fans will actually go inside the chest itself, so it's not wasted space. Most of my stuff is small and not bulky other than the pail and chest. Then we can have 3 for clothes and our personal stuff. If 3 for the wedding aren't enough, then I will ensure I can get all our clothes into the 2 suitcases as I mentioned above. I will hand out all bridal party gifts before we leave. I also plan to bring all wedding day entire or breakables in my carry on (I get 2 as my kids can share 1 between them). So all in all I think I will be ok. Then if all else fails, I am asking friends lol!!!!

Thanks! Lol I stole that sign off etsy. It fits our group well Ahhh sequins and vintage - I'd do it. I don't really have a theme, just bright colors to spruce up all the white linens. Sometimes I wish I had went vintage but it's too late now -- I don't regret what I have at all. Love the color. Small details is my problem - I'm toooo into the details they drive me nuts. I was in ikea yesterday and they have beautiful lanterns and such, thankfully I didn't go there before I started planning, I'd have no way to get it all there. Thanks!! I am pretty excited about my hair. Still hard to find pictures online as inspiration but when I am at my hairdresser's getting my hair dyed next week I plan to ask her for some ideas and/or possibly a quick up-do. I had planned to just use a basic frame that had 4 frames in one, one for each table. But it was black and didn't match LOL!! I found this idea on Etsy, I almost paid someone $20 to do it for me as I was sooooo stressed out, but fiance was like 'nah you can make that yourself' So I did. If you want the file let me know. We wanted a seating chart, as did the resort, so I never once considered people sitting wherever. I also feel it could turn into a mess. That was me 100%.... I would see a thread like 'cake toppers' and go DOH!! I swear if it wasn't for this site I don't know where I would be.

I agree, everyone who has said yes is super excited. When do you ever get to vacation with 44 of your friends and family!!! We are happy too that the dramatic people said no.

Hey! I didn't do STDs and just sent out our invites 8 months in advance. They had 90 days to pay their deposit. After final payment was due I sent out our pre travel mailers which was about 2 months in advance - I waited as we had people drop out inbetween. This worked well for us - you can see my pre-travel items in my planning thread (link below) but it was a brochure and a luggage tag. What date is your RSVP deadline? Also do you have a booking deposit deadline with your TA? (I made my dates both the same). I would definately send your invites out before this date as it will serve as a reminder to book and give them some time/notice. Update I have been a busy little lady lately and to be honest a tad bit stressed. As I mentioned in another post, when I started getting it all put together to take pictures I realized that my 'travel' theme for the guestbook and such just didn't match my bright pink frames! I was up until 130 am today trying to come up with a way to display my seating assignment as the one I had planned to use no longer worked well. So I have all that sorted out - my guestbook table is very travel related, and the rest of my theme is bright, vibrant colors. I think it's ok they don't match and honestly at this point I don't care. I am well over crafts, color matching and paper cutting lol. Can it be wedding time now? With that said, we are under 3 weeks until we leave now!!!! eek!!!! Thankfully I get 2 long weekends in a row to get a lot of stuff done. I don't regret whatsoever that I started planning and making my crafts super early. If I hadn't I would be in PANIC mode right now. Some updates: - Legal marriage booked for January 10!!! My resort has said for our symbolic ceremony they will have our witnesses sign as well. Which is a nice gesture. - final dress fitting is January 3rd. - I am ironing out the final details with the wedding coordinator. She is super helpful, but painfully slow - taking about 1 week to reply We are making lots of progress though on the little things. I am going to hope that my dress sorts itself out as I haven't booked it for a steaming!! Same for the bridesmaids. I may still look into one of those portable steamers but at this point I am really strapped for space! Left to do: -attach tags to fans -finish up the bridesmaid's gifts - print pictures for the frames and do final presentation. -wrap groom's gift and sign card - get groomsmen's gifts (I knew he would leave it last minute) - do my BRIDE iron-on tank - make timeline for our MC - make list of 'must have shots' for photographer - print out our timelines for the guests - legal letter from the kid's dad for travel (debating this as lots of people travel without a notarized one and are fine. We don't live in the same town which makes coordinating it hard) - wash all the clothes - pack - sort receipts, etc. Doesn't sound like a lot but it's overwhelming! could be much worse though, that is forsure. Well without further ado here are some new pics (cause we all love pics) ohhhhh and I need to lose 5 lbs I made this sign and the vase for the glow bracelets which I had originally thought would be on the guestbook table. Since they don't match they will be on the bar! I think that works better anyways. (I fixed the punctuation error in the sign if anyone notices it LOL!!) I decided on bracelets solely based on size. I have about 100 of them. I ordered another hair flower - I know!! I got a stellar deal of $9 on Etsy. She is a Canadian seller and I had it within a week. My daughter has a pink one that is close to the same. It's the one on the right - just put it beside my original one for comparison. A shot of my necklace with the bracelet I had made to match Pictures of the fans with their tags. These will be on all the ceremony chairs My aunt got me this for Christmas. It's super cute. I may bring it if I have room and put it on the cake table?? Here is a picture of getting my cups assembled. They are all in a suitcase now. I got about 42 of them in a large 30 inch suitcase, a few will have to go in another bag. That is it for now!! Thanks for all the help, advice, shoulders to cry on, and ideas over the past 8 months. It's been a blast! ohhhhhhhhh I just wanted to add that my hair is SUPER long now (for me anyways!) and I can actually put it back into a small pony tail. So with that said, I am hoping that she may be able to pull off some sort of an up-do. I have a trial booked and am eager to see what she thinks!
