For The Canadian Brides..... What Did You Think Of
calgarybride2015 replied to acw271011's topic in Random Thoughts
I've honestly never watched the show ever. Not a big tv fan except the odd show so I usually don't have cable either (I get a free special here and there lol). Anyways I was just chiming in to say that no show we copy off the USA ever stacks up. Most pale in comparison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Interesting. I have some prescriptions that are supposed to help with the same and the continually regenerate your skin so you shed it off quicker. I have been on antibiotics continuous for 3+ months too as some are so bad the area that it is swells and involves my lymph nodes. Gross problem. I am always willing to try something new though - thank you

Bridesmaid Gifts
calgarybride2015 replied to leharris5's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Great ideas! I got my girls - paid for small portion of their dress - anklet - necklace and earrings for ceremony - sandals for ceremony - makeup bag - beach bag - little package of nail/foot files, compact, body butter, body spray, etc. - colorful sunglasses for wedding pics They will get the same OOT stuff as everyone else. I wanted to get them everything they needed for the wedding day itself so they didn't have to spend anymore of their own money. Sometimes I feel like I didn't do enough but fiance told me to quit spending as it was adding up! Fiance got his groomsmen leather shaving kits, travel package for inside (shaving cream, etc.) and a dog tag necklace that is personalized for them. -
Bridal Shower - How To Handle?
calgarybride2015 replied to jeffandrobyn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Sorry your friend is going thru that! The only thing I can think of is that you ask your fiance to speak to your MIL. He can let her know that your friend is handling the shower based on discussions you two have had/her knowledge of what you would like and while some of her help is appreciated the 'bones' of the shower have been decided and they aren't going to be changed. -
I believe you with the comment 'I'll believe it when I see it' Shawn joined the gym in September and maybe has went 4-5x, maybe!!! He was going to tan too but hasn't went so here we are 9 (yes 9) days from leaving and we are slackers! I would have thought this would be the time I am in the best shape of my life and alas I am not hahahah!! dress fits so I am happy! I would love to hear what past brides forgot and wish they had - or the best thing they brought. I plan to bring glue gun, extra ribbon, scissors, sewing kit, travel steamer, humidity spray (just bought, yay!), clothing tape, blotting clothes for my face, every med known to man for myself/my kids. I also just realized my kids didn't have real sun hats, only ball caps, so thankfully I found some yesterday at Osk Kosh. I got them crocs as water shoes so they are dual purpose if they need water shoes,I also got them long sleeve SPF/rash guard shirts, I also was told to get the sunscreen stick for their faces. hmmmmm I am sure there is more but drawing a blank at this moment. The sunscreen for the 4 of us may take up half the suitcase lol

Awesome! everything looks great and is coming together!! You are crafty with those shoes - they look fantastic - I would never be daring enough. Well maybe, but they would never look that good!!! I got my hair died 1.5 weeks before we leave, I just don't have time to do it next week. I am ok with it, the growth won't be overly bad - if even noticable at all. I started to tan, but since I have minutes at the gym I find I only tan when I work out and honestly, just not much time for that lately or I go to a different gym depending on their class schedule. Sigh, kind of late now, maybe I will try to go 2-3 more times. Sounds like things are coming along!!!

hehehehe, good for you ignoring some of her calls and texts today!! take a breather. That would be a struggle that is forsure, and why is she concerned if kids can come or not, if it doesn't directly affect her? Why wouldn't you want to bring kids? mine are coming Hopefully she eases up a bit for you!

Sunglasses For Oot Bags?
calgarybride2015 replied to TinkerSofi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Awesome!!! Your guests will love those! -
I agree with Kathy and like her revised wording! Since your deadline has passed this makes things a bit easier on you, forsure! But my question is - did your travel agent put thru their booking or did she call to make sure it was ok with you first? I hate to say this, but this is kind of case in point why I would never invite someone who I didn't want to be there and only invited due to circumstance. You see that on here a lot 'is it rude if I don't invite x' but in your case you did it to save face and they want to come!!!!!! So for that I think it's easier to just invite people who YOU want there, noone else. It's your wedding and your choice that's forsure. Good luck!

Which song? I hear his 'don't' song a lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I am putting my hangover/oh shit kits right in my cups so not doing bags. For the kids I just put in some snacks and gum. Kids will appreciate it due to the change of food they accustomed too - heck I would too and we don't have room to bring sand toys and stuff. We got some small coloring/activity kits for the reception table for them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now Larimar - 2015
calgarybride2015 replied to BrandyMarie1023's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Congrats!!! The fact your are Canadian gives you better package options - ie our prices included airfare, resort, transfers and tax. I recommend finding a good travel agent who specializes in destination weddings to get you started. I ended up with air Canada Vacations and with them we got a free package (minus taxes) for every 17th person booked and got a free upgrade to first class. Also our group rate was always better than any price listed online Our guests from Toronto to the Mayan are paying $1465 which is all inclusive in price for 7 nights. Good luck.
