  1. This is the thing I saw at Swimco. This one isn't that cost effective either, but was just trying to find a picture to give you an idea. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-Plastic-Container-Key-Money-Storage-Box-Case-Holder-/391050737206
  2. Ohhh darn. Maybe I got lucky with that sale Glad you can find alternate ones on eBay for a good price!!! Edit - I was at cross iron. Not sure if that's an outlet. I may go today and will take a quick peak unless that was the one you were at lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Congrats on your engagement. I just got married and my budget was around yours - for the wedding itself - and we had 45 people total!! So I think it's totally doable depending on what you want. I agree to find a TA to help you narrow down some choices they are free and get paid thru the tour operators. Are you guys thinking to choose a location in Mexico close to his family? As you will find some areas of Mexico cheaper than others. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Glad your wedding went well and it was what you hoped it would be!!! I hope you will share some pictures with us You made a few notes I could agree with and I didn't even stay at your resort lol. Our room wasn't cleaned before we got ready either so I quickly made the beds but the photog said not to worry she'd ensure they weren't in the pictures. Also we signed before exchanging rings too. The friend who taped our ceremony said with the walking it was all over in 12 mins lol. Super fast. Congrats again. Glad you had a good week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I didn't bring mine so not sure. We just confirmed in our meeting they had the right songs and versions of those songs -- one she found in utube to play me - so unsure if they use utube for ones they don't have?? Nonetheless I never provided them with anything other than the names of the songs I wanted and it went off without a hitch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Haha you will drive yourself insane so try to let it go. Just send out your timeline before Mexico too and advise people to have a late lunch or whatever - they are adults our guests had to leave at 2pm to our wedding and we had dinner maybe around 530pm. No one complained and our buffet got good use. I think the sunglasses will be a large hit. I love that I know now what would have been awesome - thankfully all our items were a hit but I know what else would have been. Swimco sells these 'containers' on rope necklaces to hold valuables. I'm sure there they would be like $8 each but maybe less on eBay (I'll find a pic and post it) Also since it's not summer places like la vien rose may still have sales. Our beach bags from there were $3.99 and they had various colors. Is that more cost effective than wedding chicks? Cause if yes these bags are way more usable as a true beach bag. Did you see the ones I got my bridesmaids? Sorry to hear about Juan's sister. Hopefully she can figure something out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. While I don't want a PS4 (one day he'll stop asking for one lol) I also don't want a crystal pitcher or candle holders or picture frames. So with that said I'd much rather people make a registry of things they want and need so no one wastes their money so I say it's ok and if people think it's pricey or silly they just won't buy it. 8. I'm going to ask my family as we are all around that age. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. @@newmansmiths If you can look at your photos the day before you go home - do! So we had to look at our photos Friday evening and we left Saturday AM. I HAD to choose which ones I wanted in the photo book so I had no time to really process which ones I loved or not. So I found I put a lot in the book I didn't love and missed some I truly loved. Also double check photos hahah on our signing page we have me signing and the best man! Not my husband. Kinda funny. Just annoyed that they don't take care when transfering pics over - my group photo was too large for the spot they put it, so instead of cropping it they just cut people off/out of the photo. i am not sure if your packages would be the same as ours (if you went thru your TA not GS) ... but from what I remember the Platinum package was for the beach and the Presidential package was for the palapa. Honestly, email the WC and ask - I bugged them all the time, that is what they are there for. I would recommend the palapa over the beach just for weather, solid wood dance floor (no extra cost to pay for a dance floor), etc. Also, I know a lot of brides love the pres package but for us it included A LOT of fluff we didn't need. Since we used the free package (silver) and upgraded, I in the end got what I wanted and still paid less than the pres package.
  10. Bahaha the maple leafs jersey is terrifying. hubby is a die hard leafs fan and love to tease him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I didn't limit anything and even with my dress stress it still did up!! Haha ok we struggled I was soooo thankful to sleep again once the wedding was over but truth be told I had no issues and/or nightmares while in Mexico. I swear people think DW are free too. 11. I wore jeans and a nice top/cardigan. We went out for dinner after so didn't wanna be in lulus lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. A lot of my items came from etsy - BM jewelry, my hair flower, daughters flower, bouquet charm, cake topper, banner. Bracelet, wedding hanger, tumbler labels and more... All in my planning thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. They all do it, that's how they get away with it!! Like silly gas prices! Hopefully you get it soon!
  14. Don't worry about white against your ivory. I took Plenty of pics before the wedding and it's barely noticeable. That's the last thing people will notice as it's that small of a color difference. Your dress is beautiful and can't wait to see how the corset turns out I went to Vegas in August for my 30 and I said I'd never do that again lol. Oops!!! I'd love to go to New York. As a bride of January not August I can say Juan will die lol. We died all of us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I know a December bride who started at 4 and had reception at 6. Worked for them. I was worried we'd start late and then it would be dark and and... And .. Lol. Just my nerves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Haha don't have to worry about that in Mexico. I could barely get mine on But I agree. Makes me nervous it will slip off and I'll lose it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Agreed!!! We are going to Vegas in August (see my post on your planning thread) and all I can say is 'who's dumb idea was this?!?' Lol hotter than heck there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I know. It goes so quick!!! Our honeymoon is after your marriage! We wanted to do Vegas and our friends asked us to join them for their vow renewal in vegas (aug 19-23) so we decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Makes total sense. I've seen those before. I know with some of those types you can't just wear the band as it would look silly. Since mine is 'twisted' the bottom is solid so I assume they can size it without running design. So it slides and you can see that part and drives me nuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That sucks, have you had any luck trying to contact them to see if it got lost in the mail? I didn't use Caribe Photo, but mine had mine to my door (in Canada) in 3 weeks.
  20. But don't wish the time away --- as I sit here 3 weeks after the wedding a part of me wishes I was still waiting!!!! That sucks about your ring!!! I want to get my solderer together but I think I want a band for the other side which I can't afford (or don't want too) right now and not sure I want to get it soldered twice. maybe I can get a nice eternity diamond band for my other hand instead hehehe.
  21. I think any OOT item is a hit and miss. My tumblers were used but I know others weren't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I totally agree too!!! Seeing that number drop stings but on the flip side you had the money saved and didn't charge it, soooo that's something to be proud of too!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Haha I had mine at 3pm. Damn it was hot and sunny but 330pm wouldn't have changed a thing and 400pm would have been to late as the sun set at 530!! Win some you lose some Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
