  1. Where do you plan to put the favors? In the bags or at the reception table? If on the reception table may be easier to do per person incase your WC mixes up who gets what and someone misses out completely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Awe I love your quote. My bridal party watched down the isle to this song
  3. I like the first one the best with sand -- just given you are getting married in the DR it seems more fitting
  4. I assume painted because the word 'painted' was used in our flower catalogue. For certain flowers they offered original colors and painted colors. That said I can't say with certainty unless I asked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. @@Sheaka I actually just found a site linked from a legit Canadian site that said $500USD, but I did find a Mexican tourist card that said $300USD -- looking more closely at it, I think it is outdated. I would stick with the $500USD -- I apologize!!! but atleast you get more and you now know http://www.sat.gob.mx/BienvenidoaMexico/Paginas/english/opcion02.htm Outdated one but if you've never been to Mexico gives you an idea of the tourist card- http://www.aduanas.gob.mx/aduana_mexico/2010/Descargas/DECLARACION_ADUANAS_INGLES_18102010.pdf
  6. I've also seen $600. Funny how the info varies. I had one found what seemed like a legit Mexican site but should have book marked it. No as as the tourist card basically asked us if I had more than $10k which I didn't. The other ones were more food and dangerous good related. I just had them ready in case and had no issues. No one searched us. Going to google again to see if I can find that site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. $300 per person. So you and your fiancé. Any kids? Some people have friends and family help carry. How often have brides had to prove the price? No idea but I just know (from reading this board) brides carry them! That's the only reason I did or I would have never looked into it. Mexico has pages with the rules Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Me me me!!! The blue roses in my bouquet were painted. This is a VERY common practice Color didn't rub off and honestly I had a guest argue with me they were truly blue. It wasn't evident until they started to bloom I was right!! Looked totally legit. Lol Edit -- that said I didn't have any roses close to my dress so maybe run that past the WC. She would know because if it happened I am sure the bride would have complained. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just jumping in. Your dress is your own clothing so that isn't an extra that has a $$ limit. It's a personal affect. They look at the other things that are gifts or wedding decor as there is so worry you could sell it. Your limit per person over and above personal effects is $300. Lots of brides bring receipts as well as wedding guest list / resort confirmation to prove it's for the guests not resale if customs checks them in the airport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Those are great the guests will love it .... And will create such a beautiful photo. As another idea, you can get gold shimmer paper at Michael's as well. It was the larger size ?12x12 and sometimes they have them on for 20c each. I used the silver and champagne colors for our wedding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Congrats!!! Glad it all went well. Gorgeous pictures Edit to say your photographer did a fabulous job! I hadn't heard of them before but wow!!! captured some great moments! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I love the ones @TinkerSofii has so I vote those or #1. Going on practicality of you wearing them again - my fear with 2 and 3 is that you won't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Could you tie the escort cards on with ribbon? I've seen that done before. Also have seen them displayed in a tray of sand on the welcome table. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My friend used one for her wedding and then again as a bridesmaid at mine. I'll get a review from her Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is it on the Strip? May be the MGM Signature Suites as I know you can get timeshares there. Heck, you can probably get them anywhere! have fun! HAHA in Cuba our resort had toilet seats but off the resort it was a large hit and miss. My first experience was in a pub in Varadero. There was only one washroom to boot and I was like 'ewwww' So as I tried to hover over it and not get pee on myself I touched the back of my thigh to the toilet. I was so disgusted that I honestly rubbed the back of my leg with hand sani. I thank my girlfriend for advising me to bring a little kit of sani, kleenex and wet wipes everywhere I went. Made it much easier! You are right - not sure what is worse trying to hover and not touch or just squitting with something built for it. EWWW none the less. I actually asked our tour guide in Varadero why no toilet seats - he said because toilet seats are covered in germs. HAHAH but the edge of the bowl isn't? come on!
  16. I knew they would! I gave my bridesmaid's the coconut body butter too! I got myself a few and still am using it. LOVE it. I just saw they had peach which I may get next The grapefruit and satsuma ones are also nice. WOW it sounds like I endorse The Body Shop, when truth be told I am a Bath and Body Works girl but can't beat their body butter!
  17. @@acw271011 Washed out is a great word to use. There was something about them but couldn't come up with the word
  18. can you tell I am alone today and tired of all the purging I am doing in prepartion of moving You may hate me, but..... I think I change my decision back to pink! When you have them on with your dress (which is absolutely gorgeous BTW) the pink look fantastic. I almost think they match it best and is a nice contrast. I will never understand a person's body whatsoever! If you had been doing a lot of weights a gain but baggy clothes would make sense - not sure if you are? nonetheless WOOHOO you did it up. As someone who had these issues with their dress :/ it's better to be safe than sorry! Even with my dress being taken out twice (lol) we still could barely get it done up in Mexico. We broke one of the clasps (embarrassing) So if you think the dress will fit the same way as it does today in Mexico, I urge you to either have it taken out a smidge or have the corset back. You will swell and when you have to kink your body around to get it done up you may get a 'skin crease' and those aren't pretty. I had one until she let it out. Let us know what you decide. Your theme is awesome for all your print outs. Those are fabulous. Good job to you two!!!! Can't wait to see it all come together. August isn't that far away girl! yay!
  19. Oh i didn't realize that Argentina isn't until next year -- it is nice though that things are spaced out because gives you something to look forward too!! and well, money! haha! I am way to much of a planner to book last minute but I know some people who get SMOKING deals, maybe I have to try to let go This will be my 6th time to Vegas. I LOVE it there and truth be told, it was my #1 destination for our wedding. You will have a wicked time!!! Do you know where you are staying yet? When we booked we thought we would be getting a house so needed to save ++ money -- so we booked something cheaper which ended up being the Flamingo. I have been there and liked it, so i am not concerned but otherwise I may have done something like the Wynn hahaha!!!! Shawn is worried Vietnam is too much out of my comfort zone but if we don't stay at hostels I think I will be ok! and I said I don't want to squat above a hole in the wrong to use the facilities LOL!!!! Cuba with no toilet seats was hard enough!
  20. I totally understand reusing it for Argentina, it gets expensive!!! HAHAHA you make a valid point. I know my resort doesn't offer a lot of that extra stuff, so I think what is left over is what brides can use who don't bring their own/forget something. I literally left all my candles, vases, signs, frames, flower girl pail, etc. I brought home my chest, cake topper, and ring bearer shell. Then my favors that were left over and gave them to my friends back home What are you guys thinking for a honeymoon? We are going to Vegas a couple days after your wedding. We are really trying hard to decide what to do for our 1 year -- I was thinking Jamaica (I am an AI girl lol) but Shawn is really wanting to do Vietnam. He has been but has lots more to see there. We will see what happens!
  21. I used www.mywedding.com Fully functional website and you can delete it when you are done! All for free
  22. I left all my stuff in Mexico or I would have went and gave it all a way for free!! Hopefully the resort recycles it I am sure they will as certain things they asked if they could keep ha! I really didn't want to lug it all back with me.
  23. Me as well. The only thing really wedding like was the jewelry but for a Christmas party or another wedding they could use it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
