  1. Has anyone quoted you a group price then showed you what it would be without the group? Our group price was always lower than anything I could find online which helped our case but generally I was under the assumption they were. That's one reason people get group rates because they tend to be better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Have you considered having the train shortened on the dresses you really love but are too long? A good seamstress could def do that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Price over the 10 depends what food you want. We paid approx $32 per person for the beach BBQ. But if you wanted the surf and turf it was around $50 I think. That includes everything needed for the extra people (ie chairs, tables, toast, appetizers, cake, Etc). Their handouts list the exact price in peso. That was the conversion to Canadian when I got married. From my experience and research the presidential package is the palapa. I believe the platinum package is the beach. 4. This late in the game you have every right to say no to the plus one attending your wedding. They are definitely welcome to join your friend otherwise. We had a groomsmen that lives in Mexico ask 3 days before we left to bring all his kids. While early on I wouldn't have had a problem not 3 days before!!! (He did have 9 months to tell me he wanted to bring them) I said no and didn't feel bad about it. Use any excuse you want - bills paid, resort has closed off changes, no more seats, etc. That said, early on everyone was offered a plus one to the wedding. If I knew them or not. I felt it was the right thing to do as they were paying so much to attend our wedding. Thankfully I didn't have any wafflers for plus ones! Just the incident I mentioned above. We also had people try to invite other family members we didn't invite lol. We also stood firm and said we'd consider it. In the end we said yes and they didn't come anyways sigh!! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm Canadian and not sure if that makes a difference but it was 10 double rooms booked for 7 consecutive nights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The presidential package includes the palapa. I believe the platinum package is the beach but would have to confirm that. It was in my handouts. I could email you them. Gold and down was an ala carte. I used the resorts DJ and he was awesome. No need to go off site for that. For photography I used Adventure Photos and requested Perla. She is no longer there but Hazel also had good reviews if he is. If you don't use Adventure Photos you have to pay a $300 usd off site vendor fee. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm glad you did like I said I was sooo nervous but by the time we had the reception I was ready to let loose. Can't wait to see your video Thanks!! I didn't have a theme just wanted bright colors. Thankfully it all worked out. Haha shorts were always a must have. They would have died otherwise. Even the BMs in their dresses were soaking wet. It was a hot day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well said. That last quote can help us all, even me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Omg they were only pictures but I felt so much love and excitement. Did you guys 'run' done the isle? Can't wait to see that in video. Loved them! You looked gorgeous. I was so nervous I stared straight head :/ hahaha!!!' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think it's perfect Haha men and their holy socks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Those are super pretty and if you did something like baby's breath you should get more for your buck over things like roses, well you would in Canada anyways.. What type of flower were you thinking for the tables? Beautiful idea. Even if they doubled for the BMs bouquets your WC could take apart the bouquets to put singles in the vases maybe? Just throwing out ideas. My stems were too long for our vases so the WC knew to cut them down as she prepped for the reception. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sorry haha!No I mean I loved it a lot and had I have seen it early on in my planning I may have incorporated it too! I love pink so I was dead set on fushcia no matter what, but maybe I would have found a way to use the oasis color. It really caught my eye and I was a little bummed that I just chose pink and didn't explore alternatives or complementary colors first lol. That said I did add on orange and turquoise later on in my planning but by that point the begonia dresses were purchased and the other colors were used as a 'touch of' to compliment fuchsia. Haha why am I having a hard time getting this across tonight? Edit - and I agree. The colors look darker than they are. They are more vibrant in the right light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I loved oasis. I saw it in person at the store and went man! Maybe I should have scoped out their colors before choosing my color scheme. Haha! I loved mine though -- begonia they called it. I only have one BM here so the other two we did measurements and hoped for the best and worked perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I warmed mine up with the blow dryer and they peeled right off. Super easy. Mine had labels on the actual cup too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Agreed. When I finally chose mine the place had cleared out some so it didn't draw a lot of attention. Not sure I said this above but I had intended to go for a short dress but then it totally escaped me when I was trying them all on. Hahah! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That's awesome. I am so happy you had a good experience. Did you ring the bell? (maybe that is only here?) That was my first experience there too.... but when we went back for the BM's dresses we had the same lady but she wasn't busy so she sat with us and we had a blast! I even put my wedding dress back on with the BM's to see how they looked together lol
  16. I only had 3 BM's but 4 tables so I ordered an extra bouquet. If you didn't want the centerpiece, per say, could you ask if you could substitute it for BM's bouquets? Then if you had 4 or 5 you could use them in the ceremony and reception? Just a thought. I know some girls on here get items swapped out for other ones. I felt lucky in the fact that my BM's bouquets were only about $30 each - which is stellar considering the bouts were $18 each ha!
  17. It looks fantastic!!!! Great job! And that price is awesome too! I was a bit hesitant of going to David's Bridal too, but honestly you can't beat their prices. I got my dress and all my BM's dresses there too!
  18. I think I've only seen the 50% off one or two times! Actually I believe it was last July long weekend (Canada) they had a 50% off your entire order but I've never seen that again. It was one they gave out at the till not thru email I believe. That said if you have time you can certainly do better than 30% Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Michaels has 30% your entire regular priced order for those wanting fans I can say the silk ones were good quality and produced a lot of wind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. In the end we paid for our guests .... They lived in Mexico but the day pass at our resort was from 6-2 or 2-6 which doesn't really work for our wedding. The wedding day pass included 3 hours before the ceremony until the reception was over and included their meal/booze for the included 3 hours. There was no way we would have made them pay for their meal at our wedding. Certainly depends how it all works. At the beginning the fee was communicated as their fee but when we really figured out how it worked there was no way we could ask them to pay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. And you'll have the wedding budget for the house heheheh. It was so nice once the wedding was paid!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I couldn't imagine moving before the wedding. And it gives you more excitement after to help with the withdrawal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. From what I saw they were only in white! They are in the wedding isle with all the other favor type things, invites,, etc. @@TinkerSofi yay!!!! That's super exciting is your possession before or after the wedding? I thought before but now thinking it maybe was postponed? I don't mind unpacking and deciding where to put stuff but the rest sucks lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I agree. 40% is better than nothing!!! I know I hate when sales throw a wrench in. And there was no way I was paying full price for those fans -- I ended up at $1 a piece woot!! Weddings are super expensive. Gotta be budget savvy! Booked the moving truck : 2 more weeks !!! Time to pack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
