  1. @ you should u tube 'les mills body jam' and see the party! So much fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I love STEP. Man has it come along way from the good old days lol. We do athletic step and it barely mimics step as we know it anymore. I'm dying by the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. @@Meandhim Interesting about Zumba. I did it once and didn't like it either ..... So I tried Les Mills Body Jam which is a mix of hip hop, house, Latin, etc and have been going for 4 years. Dance is a great way to burn calories and no one cares what you look like (or I tell myself that anyways) lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you are on the MFP app you go to 'more' them 'friends' then click the '+' and choose 'email' Where you can add their username @@vancouverpetunia LOVE the Okanagan. If only there were jobs. My husband's family all share a boat so we spend a lot of time out there. I'm sure you've been to Naramata's bench? That was my first wine tasting experience. Mission Hill in West Bank is a neat experience too. Shawn's friend is a level 3 somalia (spelling??) and works at an organic winery in the same area. Can't wait to hear about your trip and where you go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would like to lose the 20 lbs I gained since my engagement in April 2014. (If not more with Vegas hehe) I'd like to get back to the gym more regularly to tone back up as it makes a big difference. This weeks goals - actually track a full 7 days worth of healthy eating (just finished day 3) - start back to the gym after a 3 week hiatus and go twice I didn't put my back history as I feel people already know it but if anyone wants to hear just let me know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is fantastic. Thank you @@Wafflesmom Stay tuned for my reply (once I'm not on my phone) In the meantime my MFP name is 'kimad' Please remind me again on there where the BDW group is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. No worries. Thanks for excusing the terrible autocorrects. Been thinking about beach yakula. What beach is the ceremony on? That may give me an idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If you plan to use them and not look outside then I say why not! Unless policy changed you don't even have to put down a deposit. I just checked in every couple of months and asked questions as needed. They were super helpful with timelines and such. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They have some at Staples. I got mine on Amazon -- advantus proximity badge holders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I don't think I could ever do a juicing diet, OMG I love to eat and miss chewing! When I started my weight loss journey back in 2011 I started with ViSalus, it didn't take long to realize I could never drink 2 shakes a day LOL!!!! I have one for breakfast now because I do find them filling! You are right, it is much easier with a partner to push and motivate you. I had that for many years, but everyone seemed to fall off the wagon. Now I try to push myself to go alone, which isn't all that hard - but certainly makes it much easier to change my mind! My gym friend is getting back at it too, so we try to motivate eachother! I can't afford a personal trainer either! Ohhh my, sounds like an interesting story! Hope it wasn't too bad. Thankfully I have had no issues with goodlife.
  10. Hey Alex, Here are my opinions/comments to your questions: 1. In the photo above 'ceremony' is actually at Playa Palapa - @@JoannaBanana was showing where everything was at the private beach. Playa Nueva is actually on the main beach just off to the left towards the spa. I am not exactly sure where beach yaluka is as I am not sure I have heard of any brides using this space? (if you have a resort map, it may be on there) 2. I used the spa for my hair and makeup, as did my 3 bridesmaid's and everyone LOVED their work. I had Carmen and then Isis did the girls. They had a 3rd lady helping but I didn't catch her name. They use MAC products but they don't have airbrush. Personally I think they did a PHENOMENAL job!!!! I had a hair trial just to ensure it held up in the heat (I have curly hair that I flat iron so I was worried it wouldn't hold, but it did). I have heard no bad complaints from the reviews on Carmen and Isis. If you do decide to use an outside vendor just ensure you know the fees. I had inquired once and it was a penalty per person using their services, plus a day pass for each person that came on site. It was like $600 plus dollars - ouch! then the fees for services. 3. I used Adventure Photos. What I did was request all their work and from that I picked the photos I liked the best. After that I requested who had shot those weddings and requested to have this lady do my wedding. Unfortunately the lady I had is no longer there. I do know they have other good photographers though, as maybe brides have complimented them (on here and on the FB group). That said, they recently just upped their prices for some packages substantially, so even with the outside vendor fee you can get an outside photographer for close to the same price, if there is one off site that is more to your taste.
  11. To be honest, I tried shakeology and didn't like the taste. That said, it was a sample from a friend so maybe another flavor I would have liked. I used to use ViSalus, but as you mentioned @@yycbride2016 I don't think they make a big difference. I love shakes though, so I just use the Body Fortress protein powder from Walmart I have never really done any of the 'at home' programs because I have a Goodlife membership - love the Les Mills programs. I give you guys props for doing them. If I relied on me working out at home I would fail miserably hehehe!!! We bought a juicer after our wedding and haven't used it yet. I am thinking I might, but not like a juicing diet, just a juice once in awhile in replacement of something else. Do either of you juice?
  12. Oh no, that sucks to be dealing with right now Thankfully they have some options for you to pick from, I hope you can find one for your date. You must be so frustrated, hugs!
  13. @@Meandhim Awesome, congrats!!! Is the 21 Day Fix associated with Shakeology? I hate to admit this, but I am really good all week. I eat the same things so I find that part easy - the diet itself isn't the problem. It's the temptation for beer and snacks! ha! We love wing nights, we love beer, we love going out and not eating at 'calorie friendly' places! BACON! This is my large problem! I have made a commitment to myself to stay on the plan all weekend. If we eat out, we will pick a place like Boston Pizza or Applebee's who has a calorie conscious menu! And no booze! (which I don't need as my liver is still aching from Vegas)
  14. @@yycbride2016 from my experience they don't do City Hall weddings here. On Service Alberta's website there is a list of all the commissionaires you can hire for this service. The lady I used lives over by the Grey Eagle Casino, we did it in her living room for $100. She filed all the papers for us, we just had to have our marriage license. I know of 4 other people who used her and I believe she is now $120. The marriage license cost about $90 and is good for only 90 days so you have to get it at the right time or it will expire. @@JoannaBanana I am glad you got this all sorted out!! Congrats!!! In Alberta we didn't need to have rings, but we did have to say vows - that was law. The person officiating your marriage should be able to tell you all the rules. Super exciting Edit - and by vows I mean the 'repeat after me' part. We didn't say our own or exchange rings.
  15. Ohhhh 13 lbs is amazing too and I can say this as I work to get my 20 off. Nothing is an easy feat. So any success is huge!!! I agree I blew thru this the first time, like it was almost too easy! Def the body changes and I'm learning this. But also have to make changes realistic for you. When I first started I think I ate too little. I wish sometimes I could have a do over but I have upped my calories over the years even in weight loss mode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Oh it's definitely a lifestyle change. Trust me I hear you on that... I am a large advocate for a healthy diet and exercise. I didn't lose 125lbs using pills or shakes or what have you.... and I didn't lose my weight in 30 days! But I have yo-yo'd for a long time and I have struggled with my weight since my early 20's and it's more than just saying 'it's a lifestyle' There is so much more mentally to it than that for those with weight issues! It's a complete mind game. I seem to go in extremes from scale nazi to food nazi... I thought I had found my place, I had maintained my loss for 2 years -- so much better than the 1-2 months I had done in the past - but life got in the way of my little routine I had as a single mom. I got a boyfriend, then I got engaged and I needed to redefine how it was going to look and I just didn't I know I can do it, I have done it before, but I need to figure out this time how to make maintenance work long term. Losing weight is a whole lot easier than maintaining it, that is forsure. It is good @@yycbride2016 that you can spot the fact it is harder to maintain your weight now so you don't end up at 280lbs like I did (mind you 80lbs of that was pregnancy lol)... It's a lot easier to keep in check before it gets out of control.
  17. I struggle with maintenance. I was at my goal (well 2 lbs off) and in the best shape of my life. Now I'm not. You take some cause it's maintenance then it falls apart. I shouldn't be so hard on myself I did maintain for 2 years then I got engaged and that took over. I just wish it was easier. I wish fighting my weight wasn't going to be a life long battle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hahaha let's just say I think my liver is still hurting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Absolutely gorgeous. I love it and you look so beautiful. Great choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Bahahah!!! Awesome. I didn't know they did balloon hats until this trip! I've been collecting cups for years although I've never re used one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I burnt my first time tropical. Like a lobster. (See my Mexico 2013 pics on Facebook). I was using SPF 15 and 30 Cause my friend said that's all I needed. I quickly learned to use SPF 60 and nothing else lol. @@acw271011 ugh I'm sure your meds didn't help either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Definitely tough. I had some tan lines I am not going to lie, but overall I think I did ok. I just applied SPF 60 every hour or two. Unless you stay in your room there isn't much more you can do.... unless you avoid the sun outside (find a lounger with a shade cover), bring a large floppy hat, etc.
  23. Yes it's close. I actually hopped onto the shuttle to go to the disco after our wedding. It was taking awhile to fill so I got off and walked around the corner (bushy area) and I could see it hahaha so I walked there. We all LOL that it was that close and we almost got a ride. That said it is still far enough away for privacy. I could not hear their music whatsoever. Chapel and palapa are close, you are right. Just across the 'road' from eachother but again very private due to the greenery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. @@JoannaBanana I totally feel you. I was up close to 8 at my wedding and now 20. I've recommitted and this time I hope for more than a week I've done it before but can't seem to get the mindset back! Help! I'm 'kimad' if you want another friend lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
