  1. @@yycbride2016 Don't let that get you down. You worked out hard - obviously because your body was sore!!! I bet if you get back on track today that you won't even notice anything on the scale. I really do believe that!! With all that exercise you gave yourself some wiggle room Days of rest are def good to repair the muscle.. hahah I love the 'omg I can't sit down to pee' feeling I didn't work out this weekend, I suck I know! hahah! Great intentions. I did get up and get the DVD in the player yesterday AM as the gym was closed, but it wasn't hooked up since we moved ha! I am committing to 2 times this week (Thursday and Friday) due to my work schedule. I also had a small blip on Saturday - too much beer! The story of my life, but I did get on the scale this AM and was down a little so I know the slip didn't give me a gain. I kind of wish I knew what I was right after Vegas because I have no idea what I have lost!!! But I will use my weight now as a starting point and I still have the 20lbs to go. I am losing small amounts and I know once I get myself back into the gym it will be easier!! Have a great week ladies!
  2. Enjoy!! I love the area. And the weather has to be better than ours brrrr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No they don't do name cards for you. The only reason I assume they ask for the table numbers is to know how many tables you want and how big. I got my maracas from amols.com as they were super cheap. Shipping would depend where you live. Playa del Carmen would sell them and I've heard of brides doing that -- you'd probably just not be able to be picky on colors and take what they have . I wanted mine on hand as I personalized them myself and didn't want to do that in Mexico and take time away from my fun lol Some have used Maracas Mexico. A bit pricier but they personalize them for you. I believe they'll ship right to the resort just ask the WC if that's allowed at the GS and that they'll store them for you. Some resorts don't allow it as they don't want the liability. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can't wait for a picture of you in it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Gorgeous!!! Looks great on you and the belt really suits it. Great job!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I married in Mexico, but I would assume the same general rules apply. I was told to do the ceremony no later than 2 hours before sunset. You can find your sunset times online with a quick google search. I would also ask how the sunsets work -- ie in the Mayan Riviera Mexico you just lose the sun, no pretty sunsets. In January the sunset at 5:30pm, because I was a bit nervous of everything starting late I had my ceremony at 3pm. Truth be told everything started on time - so I could have pushed my ceremony until 3:30pm. We went something like this 3-330pm ceremony and toast 330-400pm group and family photos 400-500pm we did our bride/groom photos while everyone else had a cocktail hour with mariachi 500pm reception Hope that helps!
  7. Hahaha that's hilarious and he doesn't even know he's the 'sucker'. I wonder when the 2 bands even started? I had never heard of it until I started looking! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Glad you got the officiant worked out 2 weeks is going to fly by!! I love all your decor. I agree, my cake topper was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. With a few flowers it will still be fantastic. Love the pics of the resort. As I've said before I love Cuba. So beautiful I'd have your guestbook at your reception. That's generally where people have it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm no help! I like them both. Why not start with one and if you decide, get the second for your 1st year anniversary. That's my plan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yay!!! Have a blast. Remember to slow down and take it all in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I love your dress. I like #2 and #4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I had my wedding in January at 3pm. It was hot but bearable. I wouldn't change it. Sun set at 530 So even if I moved it to 330 (to have enough time for pics) the temp would have been the same! I would suggest doing it no later than 2 hours before sunset. Depending how many pics you want done, you may be able to start at 4pm? But if you want pics all over the resort you will need time and 330pm is probably best. Not sure what you mean by the brides page? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It's all about finding the one you feel The best in. They are all gorgeous but the one you chose is perfect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. @@FutureMrsGlover which dress is your final Choice? All beautiful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. @@helenk I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My heart goes out to you. I lost my mother 11 years ago and it's tough but try to remember the good times. She will always be there with you I promise. Congrats on your little bundle of joy! that's super exciting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm more motivated then ever too!! Kids welcome back to school BBQ tonight. Even though I was starving I declined and had a small meal at home! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. @@Wafflesmom I am big on moderation for sure, but pre-portioning all your food is a great idea. Especially the ones you love a lot. I measure everything right down to my veggies!! That said, I have made compromises because somethings aren't realistic to eat a lot of (Doritos being one lol) So I have rice cakes or low cal popcorn, etc. I have wraps not bread, rice not pasta, etc. I find for me I have willpower in the store but not at home, so I just don't buy things and I am better off. It would be really hard to follow any type of plan when you are without electricity - oh my! I am glad you could save the deep freeze! Your goals are super realistic and I know you can do it!! My goal right now is to make it thru the weekend! Since it's a long weekend and we are without the kids, I have said I can have one 'cheat' meal within reason! Also told my husband I HAVE to hit the gym Saturday morning so I asked him to join me to ensure I go lol (we will see how that goes as he has used him gym membership maybe 5x in the last year) I have some serious DOMS from getting back to the weights on Tuesday morning. The scale isn't budging but that's because of all the water I am retaining repairing my muscles! If I can keep it up thru the weekend I am pretty sure I will be very happy
  18. @@deecol no my resorts prices were in peso already. (Except the deposit) I'd email the WC and ask if you can't get an answer on here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. @@deecol I'm guessing you ate a lot? Because eating crispers and goldfish is totally ok. Gotta eat what you like or you'll never stick to it. But I feel your pain. One time I sat down with a bag of rice crackers and said I'd have the 10 the bag says is one portion. Hahah I ate the whole bag. All I can suggest is portion it out and don't eat from the bag. This is my trick!! But today is a new day and you can't beat yourself up for it anymore !! Move forward and kick butt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. @@vancouverpetunia Don't feel bad. I find it's generally one or the other from the local photographers I spoke with. You pay their way or you pay for their services. The fella who did our engagement shoot wanted his package paid and and extra $500 spending money. That was for 8 hours. So was right in line with what we paid in Mexico but we had guarantees of his quality etc. Since they were already coming and are obviously close friends I'm sure he feels privileged and is more than happy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Awesome! That would be a tough price tag if you are paying (gulp). I think I got lucky cause my BM suggested we go look. So we tried them all on and the ones we liked we sent pics to the other girls. They all picked and we ordered. I've heard horror stories on here where BMs order their dresses last minute and leave the bride stressed out. I couldn't have left it to their own devices!!! I felt so guilty asking them to pay $160 so I helped them out. That's awesome you are doing that for them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. We did the dresses as a group (some from a distance) as we had varying sizes of girls (wanted everyone comfortable) and they paid for the majority of them. I picked the color and they picked the style Thankfully that part was easy and we did it early on!! I'm way too controlling to just leave it in their control hehehe. So I feel you!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I decided to buy everything for them cause I wanted to ensure I liked it hahah terrible I know not that I don't trust their style just felt like I wanted the control and in the off chance they didn't have silver shoes, didn't want them spending more money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had to order mine online as well from Spring. I got lucky and found all my BMs sandals at Le Chateau on sale for $10 each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Aldo and Spring sell this type of thing Also Le Chateau has a good selection. Especially in cross iron. But I'm sure you've looked there ready! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
