  1. And people from all over the world can use the same hashtag like # facepalm and everyone can see eachothers pics. That said I've never googled a hashtag so not sure what the search would look like. Edit -- haha is it just for pics or would they see my msg? I put a space just in case. It's quite apparent I'm a rookie too @@acw271011 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It's so true! Sometimes you just know! In my case, not so much Mine was very slow moving, but I am so glad I gave him a chance because here we are today! Same for my parents -- they were engaged in 2 weeks, married in 6 months, and were married over 30 years before my mother passed away. I am sure they would still be married today if she was here with us.
  3. Sooooo I am sitting at my computer working on my Statistics course -- which is a drag - and I am soooo glad that I decided to pop onto BDW because I found your awesome thread!!!! Your story of how you met made me tear up! Such an awesome story and the fact that you guys took the plunge barely knowing each other is a testament to your love, to how people 'just know', that everything happens for a reason -- and you get my point I am so happy for you!!! ps - I should get commission shouldn't I?
  4. @@maria1488 I re-used mine. The small one on the signing table was for the head table. The two large ones from the gazebo where on the cake table. Yes they are large and have to lay flat. Will limit spots they'll fit. Just depends how much space you have on the tables you want them. If you wanna see pics let me know. Unsure if you'll get a good shot of them in my review below but have a peak. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. @@ashhtayy also love diet coke or coke zero!! I had to LOL. I used to drink a lot. Now I get one as a treat once I drink my 3 liters of water. Or if I'm out for a meal def something I won't give up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Wooohoooo so glad to see you back. I've thought of you and am so glad we finally get to hear all about it and see some pics! Gorgeous resort : Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ugh I'm sorry she's putting you thru that! Probably case in point why mine is still a secret some 8 months later hope it settles down for you now that you've 'hashed' it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I don't sorry and the kids club I think only goes 9-5pm. Unless that's what you meant but I do believe you can also pay for sitters. I'd ask the wedding department or send an email thru the GS website. I did that for some of the basic resort questions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I agree 100%!!! Or when I'm starving I eat way more than I should. I had to change my whole daily routine when I started a casual job with odd hours. I was eating bad because I wasn't adjusted to the odd schedule and lack of breaks. What worked for me was a snack at breakfast and breakfast at my regular snack time. Made the long stretch to a break bearable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. hahahah no! I don't even want to look up the calories on that Just have a very sensible dinner
  11. @@JoannaBanana I know it's tough, but remember moderation! as you said, it is not the worse you could have had. Take a peak on the calories in a shwarma, it really isn't that bad!!! 400-500 calories depending on meat. You are aware of what you are doing so that is awesome! Keep plugging away. It's when we aren't accountable and then it just gets away from us
  12. @@acw271011 married in Jamaica, hopefully she can pop in and help!
  13. Those are gorgeous pictures I love how the men did outfit changes too on here. I can see Shawn being like 'you are lucky I put on a nice shirt' beautiful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My ring is a 5.5 and it spins but the 5 was snug! I've always jokes why my ankles and wrists/hands were so petite and I struggled everywhere else. Lol My BMs husband got a black tungsten ring so she felt she should match. She had her wedding bands done in black diamonds. Looks awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. We had suitcases that fit inside eachother so we did that on the way back. Truth be told all I had was one less cause the dirty laundry took up so much room and I stuffed my dress in one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So glad your nan is doing better Everything looks fantastic!! @@tygrrlily also did a 'meet the guests' handout. I stole her template and started it but ran out of time. It's a fantastic idea I think for alternations 2-3 months in advance is recommended as you usually go for 2-3 fittings. I dropped mine off oct 23 and picked it up jan 10. I'd say sooner than later so she has ample time Time is going quickly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. All I could suggest is maybe upgrading to first class or asking for an upgrade for free/reduced cost as you are the bride/groom -- first class generally yields more free baggage. Also ensure you know your carry on limits and push that as far as you can. Ie I had a large weekender bag and a roller suitcase as my 2 items. No one stopped me. We did that for everyone in our family. Even some friends did it (especially ones who didn't check bags!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Both are gorgeous. Love your set!!! And I love the originality of his you must be relieved!? I was nervous to go the custom route so I got a new e-ring mount. Hehe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I actually think you look better in it than the models. You should model it that's a compliment. I was going to say it before but was scared it would come out wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I hate to even tell you this but that happened to my BMs sister in law. Fire at a store in Calgary last year. Thankfully they got hers out in time but it smelled of smoke. Was 2 weeks before the wedding . Chances are slim though. Mine hung in my bedroom. Had it on about 5 times from June ish to October when the seamstress took it. Loved having it to remind me why I chose it or try it on to feel like a princess (or make sure it fit lol) honestly didn't try it on near as much as I thought I would. As it takes effort and help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The dress looks gorgeous on you! 30 lbs is awesome, can't wait to see the 'after' of you in your dress too Everything looks great, real touch flowers always impress me!! I too am so sorry to hear about your brother, hugs.... Looking forward to more!
  22. @@deecol Good for you to rest. I used to be so motivated id try to exercise thru it and realized I was prolonging the madness. Feel better soon!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hahaha I agree. I told the husband I needed him to come to push me out of bed (kids are away and was easy to sleep in) soooo you see how far that got me. I used to be so disciplined but I'm getting back there. Nothing I mean nothing used to get in my way. Then I met a man Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
