  2. I agree with @@yycbride2016 They look great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I think all your arrangements will look great!!! The table I had my guestbook on was big enough for some pics of Shawn and I too., if that's something you wanted to add and/or have considered I never even thought of all those details to be honest hahaha so thankfully the WC knew what to do. It will all be great, they follow whatever you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Love those dresses. If they had been mentioned before my wedding I would have looked into them too, if they have a short version I think if you want a table at the entrance they'd do that for you Great finds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The taco bar is a great idea. I also LOVE tacos I wouldn't worry so much about who eats first. It'll be you then the WC will prompt the other tables. For speeches we just asked people to give them a heads up. The MC knew and passed the microphone around. Then the odd other one jumped in. This was right as we entered and before we ate. For music I just had my special songs picked and given to the WC otherwise I let the DJ handle it. If you aren't using the DJ I know @@TinkerSofi had an app and picked her whole playlist. She may have some tips! You are doing great! Ps - also fear the vows. So thankfully my husband did too!! But looking back I wish maybe we had done a version of them as all I said was 'I do' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Love @@TinkerSofi, I think photo booths bring out the silly in everyone. Can't think of one person who doesn't love a photo booth!
  7. His ring is fantastic. This tungsten style is really hot for men right now. Def gives them something different that suites their styles. I all to well know the last minute bookings and such, I think we all do. Good luck!!! Hahaha and yes don't give them your honeymoon resort Ps - I've been doing research for early January for our one year anniversary trip and the first couple weeks of jan are NOT cheap so wonder what your TA can come up with. Hehe maybe she can help us! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Agree with the tables and chairs for the cocktail hour. Unfortunately they forgot them at our wedding but would have been very useful. They got my dad a chair and felt terrible!! We did get a refund Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I ended up working out 4 times and 2 were weights so yay!!! Haven't measured myself yet though. I am down 3.8 lbs. so got my Vegas weight off. Now to make headway on the rest Hope everyone is feeling better and plugging away at their goals. Some is better than none have a good week everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I got married at the Grand Sirenis in January and loved it. Maybe have a peak in the review section too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's interesting. I've seen the high boy tables (well so have you in the lobby bar) and I think it would be very cramped. Each only fit 4 people so with plates, drinks and possibly favors and table decor you will be cramped. They are also high chairs which are uncomfortable for some and depending on the length of your reception impede blood flow lol. I have the bar style at my house and my legs always fall asleep. Also you'd need way more tables as you can only fit half the amount of people at them!! I wouldn't change it either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. - definitely don't need a dance floor in the palapa. I'd use your money elsewhere. - we just had standard lighting and paid for the Chinese hanging lanterns. I've never seen the palapa lit in different colors. This came up recently and I think a bride was going to ask if they could. The resort does light up the resort in different colors -hotel DJ was awesome. I just told the WC what genres I liked and they went with it. They took requests too so the guests got their picks too. He fed off the crowd and everyone was dancing all night. They don't MC though. I had an MC and he just got the mic as needed. The WC gave him the important songs to play I think you could rent a sound system but I think it's changed. The answer may be back a couple pages. But I believe @@JoannaBanana can answer that. 13. No you only pay once. The chairs are physically moved from the beach to the palapa so it's the same chairs Lying on my couch feeling ill today so it's nice to see your questions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. No problem! The only a la carte that isn't included in the all inclusive is the French one. It has a fee but most of the wedding packages include it for the bride and groom. I honestly had the beach BBQ buffet for my wedding so not too too sure about the picking of items. Sorry. What other fees are you speaking too? I didn't have the presidential package but had the palapa so I had to pay for everyone. If you package includes the 10 then what you pay over and above is the menu you choose per person. That includes everything - toast, appies, meal, cake, and booze for the length included in your package. To extend the reception you pay per person per hour for booze. Things may have changed since January though. Hopefully the couple brides currently planning weddings there are jump in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Welcome and congrats. There is definately a volleyball net set up. I don't have a picture of it but it's to the left of the main beach area. We had guests play all day, they loved it. They also have volleyball nets in the pools and tonnes of activities. There is also the sports room which I didn't spend time in but my kids played pool in there. Lots of stuff to do!!! 16. Ummm no that is absolutely gorgeous. you did good girl !!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yay!!! Thanks for the last minute post. I totally feel your emotions! Remember to slow down and take it all in have a freaking blast and we can't wait for you post all about it Your nails should do great. Shellac is generally cured under a light so it's a pain to get off I think they are fantastic. I would totally have done the 'I do' as well. Gorgeous idea. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That's great. A good travel agent should be able to steer you in the direction of more resorts that fit your wish list also start doing some research (if you haven't) into weddings at the resorts you have your eye on. This will help Narrow things down even further as all may not fit your dream or your budget Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Gorgeous!!! Puts mine to shame hehehe. She did awesome. Guests will love to receive those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. And you leave this weekend!!!!!! Woohoo. Omg can't wait to hear all about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. @@Wafflesmom def not something to mess with especially if you've had it hope you have a speedy recovery!!! Feel better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Welcome!! I got engaged in Cuba so that country will always have a special place in my heart ... And well it's gorgeous. I agree with @ You should find a good travel agent. They will be able to get you a group rate for all your guests that could probably drive the price you see online right into your budget range. August is also off season so it's possible those prices will go down in a few more months. It's still almost a year away!! Also with a group rate and those types of numbers you may see a lot of perks from your airline and possibly your resort, if the one you end up choosing does that sort of thing. (Ours had a free wedding package but lots give you free events or services) Good luck!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I read it with Shawn. We laughed out loud numerous times. It was on my FB somehow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Sounds like what you are doing is working as that's a great loss. I only ever do 3 1-Hour workouts a week so all You ladies doing it daily are my hero. No time between work, school and the kids for more! Do what you can -- great goals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
