I am not sure how big Moon Palace is, but I have a feeling the size is comparable to where we got married. We had around 1100 rooms. The first day it took some walking in circles but everyone finally met up with eachother. Then it seemed that people formed their groups and decided what area they liked best to hang out at. So then you knew where to find different people. The size wasn't a hindrance to us at all really... sure if would have been nice if we only had one pool and everyone was forced to hang together, but then again as said above, it's their holiday too and people like privacy and options and such.... We had wifi but we didn't really need to communicate much, but we may have if we would have advertised using whatsapp -- so that's a great idea Edit - ok I stand corrected, I think Moon Palace is twice the size. That said, I still think you will be fine. Definitely push the whatsapp for the first couple days until people get settled. I like the larger resorts myself as from my experience they just have so much more going on with a larger variety!

I love your flower choices. I think they look great - and I would keep the blue elastic I think the BM's bouquets look nicer with 5, just makes it a fuller bouquet. Your bouquet is very unique in how you stacked the flowers. We had a bride on here not long ago that short of went for that style over the standard ones that are more in a 'circle' haha excuse my lack of proper terminology.

@@Caddya We didn't have an airline that did a price drop, but from other brides on here I do know what you are speaking of. This is how I understand it - Basically if the price drops the only way you can do it is to 're-purchase' the entire block of tickets -- and ALL those rooms still have to be available within the hotel. So if you all have a standard room and have 50 rooms booked, when you want to do the price drop the resort HAS to have 50 standard rooms available outside of the ones you already have booked. If they don't, you can't do the price drop. That's why it's trickier because you are dealing with a lot more rooms. Larger hotels should be easier though than smaller hotels with less rooms. I could be wrong, but that's what I recall reading on here in the past. I'll see if I can find the bride who did it and get her to chime in

Quite jealous. That cake cataloge is WAY better than the one I saw for our January wedding!!!! I would have totally chose one of those. I had the free package and got a square cake though - I am sure they are flexible! I also didn't get more than vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry filling!

Welcome Sarah and congrats! I'm not a Barcelo bride but I am from Calgary From my experience when you book a symbolic the hotel will have someone do the ceremony for you. You don't pay extra for the minister. Where I got married it was an actual minister but sometimes your WC or someone who works at the resort may also do it, as it's not legal. Your wedding department should be able to answer that. If you search the Barcelo on the search bar up top you will find some active threads for your resort. @@Kirsty89 When they confirmed your wedding date did they send you all the files on flower and cake choices etc? Usually you get that stuff to mull over and you can email the wedding dept with basic questions you have. I can get you the email. But you won't get a WC until about a month out maybe sooner who will finalize all your details and times and send a total price. Hope that helps! I think the lace straps work perfect. Gives it that sophisticated touch my girlfriend had identical straps added to hers a couple years back. Hey! I got mine at La Vien Rose. Do you have one close by? I would assume you could get it at an intimates store. (La senza, VS, etc). I'm sure other places sell it but this would probably be the easiest store to pin point so as to note waste time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
