  1. At our resort you can also add color by changing gazebo (name for it?) colors or adding an isle runner. Just a couple ideas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Michaels is the cats a$$. And no reason to shop there without a coupon. Some tellers even let you make one then one transaction to use the coupon more than once lol Anyways lol Do you just put the glow sticks on the tables? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. First actual fee was deposit on our resort. Actual wedding item to be used - postcards for our guestbook as friend was in mexico Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Another option, if you live close to the border, is ship to a border store and go and pick them up. I did that with my maracas from amols. Saved me $40 In shipping but since we decided to go on to seattle for the night I guess I spent more hehehe but you get my drift. I used kinek for my border shopping number. Also worked for my sons shorts that I can't get in Canada whatsoever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I had planned to tip the WC but wasn't sure if the photographer expected one. New territory. But I am comfortable how to tip on the resort Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. We somewhat decided not too as we are paying for the wedding ourselves but I have a cute 'gag' gift idea. A KCCO type shirt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We are from Calgary but fiancé has family in kelowna. Headed down to seattle today and can't find a darn hotel lol. Silly idea I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Where do you live full time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Ever stop and think omg I'm getting married?!?! It's still a bit surreal to me. I've been thru some bad in my life with exes and worked my way out. I met my fiancé and couldn't believe how different he was. I was shocked when he proposed in Cuba in April 2014 after less than 1 year dating. Omg it's happening to me. We stroll in to flight centre for some brochures and next thing you know the countdown is on to our wedding. I was sunbathing on our boat today in sunny Okanagon and fiancé is snuggling my daughter. I look up and just was like 'omg I'm the luckiest girl in the world' The feeling is so amazing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We aren't as it's not included in our package but we plan to sit down with everyone and let them know how it will all play out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. My friend did for hers. You signed a card. Did a Polaroid shot and she put them together after. She said if I planned to do it to have someone in charge who will ensure everyone does it. She's missing a lot of people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. They do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Most resorts I found where only for 10-20 guests tops. What I also found funny was some day 'only includes 10 guests but we have a 25 guest minimum'. They get you right there. Even with us qualifying for the free wedding (10 double rooms booked) our wedding is still upwards of $5000 for the dinner and reception etc. People think they are free but don't realize the free ones are pretty plain Jane. 13. I totally understand where you two are coming from 100% but on the flip side why offer/accept to be in your bridal party if you don't give 2 sh*** about helping, the wedding, being involved etc? Isn't that somewhat the duty instead of just showing up. Trust me I get it and I'm a little bit of a control freak too but that itself upsets me. 2 of my BM live 12 hours away. One is more actively chatty than another BUT whenever I ask for opinions. Dress sizes. Etc it's very quick and I don't have to pull teeth. The other lives here and is very involved. I even have a lot of friends asking to help! I totally agree with the comment a few posts back about really thinking about your relationships in new ways. I had a girl whom I thought was my best friend whom I couldn't see not being my MOH totally do a 360. I knew she may not be able to come and we even considered paying for her. Well she has never once talked to me about my wedding. Couldn't even ask her to be my MOH. Finally called her out. Her reason was lame. Thought we hashed it out and we haven't talked basically since I've been engaged. I am not going to chase her to be my friend. I am not going to sit and cry when this is the happiest time of my life. I am surrounding myself with my friends who are happy and present. Some whom I am shocked over but I am fostering those friendships. What the hell happened? No idea but I'm so over hearing people saying she is jealous.. Jealous of what? Makes you realize who your friends are I guess. We will go and have a freaking blast. All of us. And they can regret if. Not us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. @@081114OVCUBA I'm from Fort St John but have lived in Calgary for 14 years. I know how it goes with flights and such good luck and please email and/or post after to let us ACV gals how It goes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Like a postage stamp you pay to mail a letter? I didn't think anyone but the mail company could do that? Nonetheless my fear is people just throw envelopes out and it would be a waste. But I may not fully understand what you mean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. A hem at David's bridal was quoted to me around $130. My coworker got a hem, bustle, sash changed out and a repair for $120 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. You SK girls hahah totally kidding. I'm from small town BC but a city girl now. At the end of the day it doesn't matter where you go, who you travel with, how many connectors, or what identification is on the bag &@$:& happens!! Hopefully just not to us on our wedding day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. If I'm being honest I think the dress without the sash is a nicer fit for you. I also just like the dress better. Both are wonderful though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not really no but again I don't plan on putting anything about our wedding on them. I actually was going to make a wide range of different ones (funny sayings. Travel sayings. Etc ) but at the end of the day they will probably still stand out. Not worried about it although I understand where you are coming from. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Dollarama has lots too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. True!!! But shop around. I've recently found any associated with a bridal shop are WAY more money Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thankfully under 12 was free at our resort for the wedding. The kids over are older teenagers so no worries. The young kids are mainly mine so I can't so that. But we do have a kids club and may use it one or two days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Never heard of it. I did make one for myself and put it in my wedding memory box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
