I had some second guessing after I purchased it but I went back to the bridal store and put on theirs and love it. And now that it's in my house I've had it on 3 times (lol I know I know) and I'm super happy with my purchase. But to be honest until I got it back on a few times I wasn't sure either. Maybe you will be the same? My pics of it aren't the greatest either but I love it and feel like a princess in it so that's good enough for me. If you love the dress then that's all the matters. I had a hard time finding a TA too. Ended up with one in BC and I am in AB. We also got group rates for each city and also got bonuses for every 17 free. (Air Canada). Our resort also has a booking deal. I wanted DR too as I've never been but the travel company we first went too (and got nowhere - flight centre) told us Mexico will be the cheapest. The lady I know who married there in march used the spa for her hair and they all looked awesome. I may do my own makeup and get a training session from MAC or may just pay them to do that too. I'm not traditional ... At first none of the men (except fiancé) were getting bouts and honestly I considered my BMs not even having flowers but then I made room in the budget for them. I think they are a rip cost wise. So in the end the BP will have them and my dad. Otherwise no one else. But from what I've seen at weddings most are pinned. Not sure I've ever seen a wrist one. I did it after because I didn't want anyone to feel pressure! I didn't wait until deposits were paid though. Once I threw out that we were having a DW and and knew they'd come I asked. But unless you wait until they pay you may find some still don't come. So many ways to do it Edit. I didn't have anyone who assumed they would. Well not sure?? Haha. A lady I know who married at my resort said she tipped the WC $50. She said she ended up with some wedding extras she hadn't asked for or paid for so wasn't even sure the WC took the money for herself. But I plan to tip cause I want it all to go off without a hitch! I'd hope that give/take she'd be close. But I guess it depends what her experience is with it?! At David's bridal they have alterations look at your dress. Unfortunately they were so busy they didn't see me it in but did quote the hemming. I still plan to shop around -- that one in the south I've mentioned peaks my interest. Did anyone send their wedding paperwork in fairly quick then send a finalized one 3 months before (which was when I was told to send it all in). A part of me wants to send my cake dinner etc choices in now but don't want to send me guest list until later. Know a few brides who didn't get the locations they'd requested (here in Calgary not at this resort) and it's making me nervous if I am Being completely honest. Trust me. I saved $40 in shipping which would have been great had I not have went to seattle for $500 hahaha. Picked up my Amols maracas from the states today! (Thought I was saving $40 in shipping them to the border but ended going to seattle which cost $500 doh - am I the only one who feels bad spending $$ now on things beside the wedding?) Anyways lol They are cute and perfect for the cost but the lighter colored ones (ie yellow) need a second coat of paint and are blotchy looking. I will use those last and am glad I ordered extra. I'd say our first official date was may 4 (met earlier but he went traveling). Officially a couple early June and engaged April in Cuba. Shocked me!!!
